  1. Good point. I had to check if his stats against lefties were just fluky good for this year only but he has a career line of .297/.372/.507/.879 against them. He’s just been very mediocre against righties in his career, unfortunately — .246/.292/.440/.732.
  2. “Little patience Need a little patience, yeah Just a little patience, yeah” The defense is definitely an issue but also Sosa has 64 strikeouts and only 7 walks. 😞 He could be a really good hitter if he figured that out, but I guess we could say the same thing about a ton of players.
  3. And obviously Vargas is more valuable than a guy like Andrew Vaughn due to their respective defense, but Vargas is nearing 1,000 plate appearances for his career (he’s at around 39% of Vaughn’s career PA’s) and he’s been an even worse hitter thus far. And almost everyone was excited to see Vaughn go because he can’t hit.
  4. Right quad strain. Noda is hitting .088 (3-for-34) with one homer over 16 games. Should have just released him before he got injured.
  5. If many posters here don’t think he’s a good enough long-term option for the Sox at either 3B or 1B, I doubt the Cubs would want him at 3B either.
  6. I would too but I think the Cubs will go after a better hitting 3B than Vargas who is an impending free agent, which will come cheaper than giving up Shaw.
  7. Apparently Schriffen doesn’t realize Vargas is in the middle of another slump.
  8. What an absolute crap at bat and night by Benintendi.
  9. This is a good old fashioned ass whooping.
  10. It doesn’t just feel like that. That’s what IS happening. It’s a dong fest out there tonight.
  11. I don’t remember this one either. Were you remembering him as a potential Fedde trade target?
  12. No Tristan Gray = no W.
  13. So the 24-year old is in question to be good long-term, but you have much more faith in the short hot streak of a soon-to-be 33-year old veteran starter who has been pretty much mediocre his entire career?
  14. The stupid thing is that they could’ve just given it to Houser or Vasil and avoided any of these discussions. Not a big deal either way I suppose.
  15. That’s what happens when you use AI to write your articles and social media posts.
  16. I read that they are also looking at Eugenio Suarez of the Diamondbacks as a bridge veteran 3B the rest of the way but they aren’t looking to trade Shaw.
  17. Incredibly cheesy, haha. I did like how modern day Podsednik was asking the young Crede, Rowand, and AJ actors what they were talking about in the re-enactment. Also nice to hear DJ’s home run call again… “Ohhh-myyy, that is three runs, BYE-BYEEE!!!” 🤣🤣🤣
  18. 3-6 Record 4.20 ERA 1.33 WHIP All-Star. 🤣
  19. Coors Field has saved Moniak’s career.
  20. The Orioles have one — Colton Cowser. There’s also a pitcher on the Astros named Colton Gordon.
  21. Colson looking good, both defensively and offensively. Hopefully he keeps it up cuz that improves everything with Meidroth being a natural 2B.
  22. There are no Negative Nellie’s. Everyone wants Cannon to be good.
