The sad fact is that Tim Anderson could’ve “changed the game” and been the next superhero for young African American kids everywhere to want to play baseball over basketball and football, but he decided that extracurricular activities outside of his wife and family were just as important as his performance in his baseball season. Bad decision. From the Field of Dreams game against the Yankees when he was at his zenith of being a star to absolutely sucking last season before he hit free agency because he was too busy worrying about his Instagram side piece… Now he’s an afterthought of a player who has to sign with the lowly Marlins for almost the same money as 37 year old Martin Maldonado. What a pathetic and embarrassing fall from grace. Any comparison of Anderson to Jackie Robinson has proven to be short-sighted and completely off-base. The guy will be forgotten in baseball history in ten years.

Does it even matter? He’ll bat second until he’s taken out of the lineup due to some injury, shin splints, back issues, hangovers…

The Score hosts ripped on JR for being a sarcastic d-bag about it and bashing the fans yet again. I wish I could find the exact quote.

Well, Getz also had to go above and beyond what Kenny and Hahn did to get the GM job with very little experience. JR thought Getz was head and shoulders the best candidate. How Grifol got hired, I have no idea.

Biggest lie of all: Paul DeJong should be on a major league roster with a major league contract and starting for a Major League Baseball team.

JR loves to hear that cheap veteran free agents can still have that one last magical season. Dumpster diving for veteran position players has been a White Sox staple for years. It doesn’t matter who the GM is — Kenny, Hahn, or Getz. It’s the front office strategy.

People will say it’s early in Spring Training but half of our projected starting lineup can’t hit at all, much less slug, so it will be ugly to watch all season.

The sad thing is that a very small number of posters on this message board actually liked most of Getz’s moves this offseason and probably buy into the ? that Grifol is selling.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Buehrle could still outpitch some of the suck on our 40-man roster.
