hitters stand on top of the plate more than they used to. part of the emphasis on homers and pulling the ball more.

considering what he's done in the minors, he deserves an extended look in the majors.

he looked great against the sox the other day. his stats look fine except for the 5 gofer balls. at least he doesn't walk guys.

he loves it up there because there's no pressure to win. plus he's the fan favorite.

.277 and a ton of K's is a little disappointing to me. maybe he'll pick it up in the second half.

i agree, but most folks think he's a tender flower who would be irreversably damaged by such a move.

lowell killed the ball a couple of times yesterday. he might be coming around.... what about wes helms just to give us a backup 3B/1B.

eddie collins definitely deserves to be on the poll. we actually have a pretty weak selection given a century of choices. if frank were just a passable 1B, rather than a DH, the choice would be easy.

it takes power hitters forever to get their stroke going, but usually they do it in the majors. the phillies didn't make thome sit in the minors even though he's hitting .190.
