Would Boston consider trading Garrett Whitlock? He would be a nice addition to the pen.

With a 17-1 lead I didn't get nervous when Hicks came in the game.

Is soccer replacing all the US major sports (except NFL) in popularity?)
Caulfield is topical he is the Ask Jeeves of Soxtalk.

If there is a shutdown closer on that waiting list Getz needs to speed the process up.

Look at Grichuk's production, he was an in-season F/A signing and fits into your narrative. The big splash might look like the smart move, but it doesn't always work out.

An ominous future...
Millionaires and billionaires going at it, just work it out behind closed doors please. I don't want to see or hear either side air their dirty laundry. I have no empathy for either.

This Day In Sox History 6/25...
The largest crowd I was ever at for a baseball game was in 1973, it was packed to the gills. A doubleheader bat game against the Twins, the attendance was 55,000 (so they say)

Looking at the splits, Chase rakes against LP and Sam kills it against RP. Platooning and coming off the bench during the game is an option.

Out of curiosity I just did a google search on Indian population in Chicagoland area and it is over 235,000 thousand. Making the Chicagoland area the 2nd largest Indian population in the country. Cricket is going to keep growing locally and more leagues will start up.

In with the new out with the old. As Boomers and Gen X age out the generations that grew up with soccer will continue to grow the sport.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
My brother-in-law is a lifelong Sox fan and also Polish, he has also been joking about Roch owning this town. I just love the fact that Roch is an elite fielder on top of having a lethal bat. Whoever the Sox do end up drafting has to be elite with the glove in my opinion. I like what I am seeing so far with the Sox defense and want to keep it going.

I am old and useless, but I think the non-Boomers posting would tend to be soccer fans. Growing up I had absolutely no knowledge of soccer at all. We played sandlot baseball games all day until dinner time in the summer, football in the fall, hockey in the winter. If soccer was thing in my youth, we probably would have played pick-up games, we had tons of kids in the neighborhood.

For the first time I have seen Cricket being played while driving past a park in Schaumburg. There is a couple billion people in the world that are Cricket fans.

White Sox - Injury Tracker
With Adams coming off TJ in April 2025 is a call up in the works or will he be strictly rehabbing for 2026? The rehab is looking very encouraging so far.

The Athletic player poll, best and worst teams.
Miguel Vargus August of 2024 / Miguel Vargus June of 2026. I would say the 2026 version is all onboard with the White Sox.

I agree with on the minors and the also the absolute epic Dave Wilder international failure.

I believe Grichuk did rave about coming to the Southside. I get the whole pump the brakes, but I just sat through 3 years of misery and I am optimistic. The press is always going to build you up and then tear you down, that what they do.

I can remember Lance Lynn and Kenyan Middelton going public about how bad the Sox clubhouse was. The 2026 White Sox are light years away from the Sox teams Lynn & Middleton were on as far as the clubhouse goes. Veteran players acquired this season have stated how awesome the environment is. I think Will Venable is a major reason for the clubhouse change; he sets the tone. As far as players wanting to play for the Sox, I think the path from the minors is wide open for opportunity to advance. Getz has to be given credit for recognizing the negative clubhouse environment and making changes. I don't have a clue about the video room, I hope Getz can be advised of this type of information and make improvements. I believe they installed a high-tech batting machine the players can use during the game. Someone might have more details on this. I think most of the problems with the Sox was the years and years and years of Kenny Williams. And then add Hawk in Jerry's ear and it was like an organization stuck in the 70's.
