  1. The Cubs have a pretty good farm system; I would pass on Tucker and let him walk. The Cubs can still spend money, but they can spread it around instead of giving it to one guy.
  2. The Cubs did have their Cuba road uni's in the mid 90's. My live long friend was a Cub fan and with disgust he pointed it out to me. I couldn't really get snarky because the Sox had those ridiculous shorts....good lord , shaking my head in embarrassment.
  3. The Sox have the Pope and a President rocking their brand, leave it as is.
  4. Keep the uniform as is, MLB's Friday Night uni's are cool.
  5. Is Mead a legit UT for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd ? If he can handle all 3 positions that would be sweet.
  6. Falstaff replied to Tomas's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Haha, Dutch Schultz, good one! If Sam Antonacci makes the team, Sam Golf Bag Antonacci.
  7. Whatever happens in the booth is one thing, but Our Chuck & Ozzie pre-post is a must. Adding the Big Hurt would be fantastic.
  8. I love these posts, backed up by actual posts. WestEddy Nostradamus II
  9. I hear you, so much time missed because of injuries is a major concern. It seems to me that he is 100% dialed in with the effort and desire to win, something clicked, he is looked up to by all the youngsters on the team. If he gets a power surge with the bat it will change the dialogue. If they traded him Getz would get ridiculed for getting fleeced, Getz doesn't trade him and is a chump.

  11. Of the 2 Brewer pitchers the Sox just picked up, maybe 1 of them could be in the mix for 2026 bullpen or this season. 2024 LHP Bryan Hudson 1.73 era 0.722 whip in 62 innings out of the pen - at Charlotte RHP Elvis Peguero, no control - at Charlotte
  12. I hope the Sox keep working and developing Sosa. I don't want him to be another guy they move on from and turns into a steady 15 year player. Sosa reminds me of Starlin Castro a bit when it comes to focus. It is like he spaces out, not covering 2nd base Friday night when Rojas wanted to go to second for the force was inexcusable.
  13. In the batting cage at Anaheim, he felt a twinge and they shut him down.
  14. I always look for Mighty Mite's post on wins and losses, optimistic but not over the top. My early win total for the 2026 Sox: + 30-35 wins over 2024 season
  15. I was disappointed on some of the at bats when the Sox had Kochanowicz on the ropes. He was all over the place and a couple of first pitch swings got him out of jams. The Angels SS is one slick fielder, nice double play combo with the 2nd baseman. Too much Josh Rojas lately, he should be a late defensive replacement or once a week player. 2 out of 3 at the Big A works for me.
  16. JR has a Greyhound bus highballing it.
  17. I get that he is paid to put out his opinion, but a seller could be going for the long haul which might take a few years to pan out.
  18. Is Trout in the Angels lineup today? I hope he takes another day off.
  19. He can catch on his sleep tomorrow😴
  20. Kyle Hendricks: I bet you can't hit this 86mph heater Jamie Moyer radar gun in kilometers, good stuff
  21. The Pope could possibly be a Soxtalk & Sox Machine subscriber.
  22. Civale is a FA after this season, Sox don't have control, so he is questionable .
  23. 2026 infield question: Do the Sox carry 3 catchers to open up DHing flexibility with Q & Teel ? 1st Vargas also DH 2nd Sosa also DH SS Meidroth also 2nd 3rd Montgomery also SS C Q & Teel UT Mead 1st , 2nd, 3rd, and DH
  24. Go for it. I have seen the Sox plenty of times back in the 80's and early 90's at the Big A. The Angels had some good teams when Gene Autry owned them. 1983 I went to the Bears & Ram game at the Big A. The Bears lost, but Walter Payton threw a TD pass to Jim McMahon which was the highlight of the day.
