  1. Veneable likes Tauchman's leadership with all the young guys on the team. I would keep him around for next year. 2026 White Sox 1st Vargas 2nd Sosa SS Meidroth 3rd Montgomery C Q & Teel LF Benny Center Baldwin Right starter ? , Tauchman reserve DH ?
  2. Pre & Post: Chuck & Ozzie excellent Radio: Len & Darrell excellent Connor & Brooke excellent TV: Shriff & Stone, or Dan Pleasac, or Gordo, or Connor all are great
  3. I enjoyed every minute of the 3 games in Pittsburgh.
  4. I was impressed with Gonzalez last night, let's see what he can do if the Trade Dead Line opens up some roster spots. The Sox have some defensive flexibility with the youngsters, Montgomery, Meidroth, and Baldwin. The Robert jr Bon Voyage Tour is starting out spectacular.
  5. Hopefully whenever Ishbia takes over all the Reinsdorf nonsense goes away and the GM can deal with everyone.
  6. Pedro Grifol would have fit right in.
  7. I predict Josh Rojas will get a hit tonight. The Moon's Phase will be the Wanig Cresent which bodes well for Rojas.
  8. Colson made a couple of decent plays at 3rd last night. Should call him Lazarus for coming back from the dead.
  9. Taking a glance: Clifford 21 yrs, 6'3", 200, throws left, bats left, has played 1st base and outfield, HR power. Nick Morabito 22yrs, 5'10' 185, throws right, bats right, outfield
  10. If Robert is traded, POOF, I fully believe he finds his stroke and becomes a force. Sosa has me thinking of the next Eduardo Escobar type talent to be traded off.
  11. Good point, Matthew Boyd validates what you are saying about starting the season with a club.
  12. Dan Plesac was on the Score this morning and he is really big on Houser being a difference maker for a contending team looking for pitching. Dan mentioned that he has seen Houser pitch twice in person and is impressed. Another name came up that the Cubs would be interested in, Zac Gallen. I heard Zac on I think it was Bar Stool, and he was saying that he didn't think with him being a fly ball pitcher he would be a good fit for Wrigley.
  13. Getz wearing plaid pants, white belt, loud shirt, green sports jacket, the modern day " Trader Jack"
  14. Adding him to an already potent Cubs lineup would be downright destructive.
  15. Xrays came back negative on Suarez's pinky finger, good lord he was in pain from Shane.
  16. Excellent point. You can add the screwball to that list that is also discouraged. The last White Sox pitcher I can think of was Hector Santiago. Fernando Valenzuela was lethal with the screwball. Steve Stone said that well thrown curveball is basically unhittable.
  17. McClain married Lou Bodreau's daughter, drank a case of Pepsi a day, had gambling issues, but what a magical run in Detroit before he was pretty much finished at 26 years old. That 1968 World Series was awesome. Mickey Lolich was the star not McClain
  18. Add to the list of .....What might have been... Denny McClain , the one that got away, duh!
  19. Don't forget to add Steve Stone to the great curve ball list, it got him a Cy Young. Sandy Koufax's last year was 1966 so I never saw him pitch but he had an awesome curve ball. Pete Rose said he had no chance against Koufax, "how in the hell do you that curve ball?
  20. The curveball is disappearing amid MLB's velocity surge | AP News Good read, I think you will find it interesting.
  21. It's way too early to give up on Montgomery, Teel, Q, Vargas, and Meidroth.
  22. I love the draft day threads, especially with the local kids getting selected.
  23. I wonder if Lee is getting moved with the addition of Sabol ?
