  1. Old Comiskey Park, after the beer was flowing had tons on fights. The drunks that got into with the security were in for a long night. The off duty cops hired as security in the yellow windbreakers didn't play.
  2. Due to his Wrigley Field ban Fat Sandberg will be taking on all comers at Franksville on Harlem & Addison.
  3. I found this interesting; AH is getting the lobbyists, with 4 firms. I have no clue who Iman Jalali is on X. Iman Jalali @Stealx ·Watch what they do, not what they say. I think the Bears are fully committed to making Arlington Heights their new home and here's why. I've been researching the paper trail. It all starts with CBFC Development LLC, the Chicago Bears Football Club/CFBC and their legal filings Chicago: lobbying activity has collapsed since 2024 and is nearly nonexistent in 2026 Indiana: Lobbying tied to Indiana only started in January 2026, single firm Arlington Heights: 4 incredibly well-connected and experienced firms, Point of Difference and Government Solutions Group specifically. They literally have the best lobbyists in the state to get the votes they need. They’ve hired people who cover both sides of the aisle in both the House and the Senate. Spring 2026 - In principle, IL House and Senate were there, but two versions of the bill were a sign of bad political wrangling and so it never got done. June 2026 - Pritzker basically outright tells them to improve their ground game in Springfield Since then the Bears have done exactly that and with Goodell recently meeting with a few IL lawmakers. I believe we’re actually closer than they’re making us believe we are. And say what you want about Pritzker, I have a hard time believing he wants to be remembered as the governor who let the Chicago Bears move to Indiana. I don't see it happening. And if I’m wrong and they move to Indiana, I can promise you this, my heart will be broken and my days of being a Bears fan are over. I can’t take it.
  4. I would like to see 2 changes to the game. ABS is used on every pitch for balls and strikes. The 26-man roster is expanded to 28 and the ghost runner is no longer used for extra innings.
  5. He will be in the starting line up the next two games with a Cub RHP. Venable will have a Grich bullet at the ready if a LHP comes in.
  6. The bullpen has been nails but they need a breather.
  7. Pablo Torre EXPOSES Kushner Lakers Purchase Story I haven't followed this story, but Pablo Torre really breaks it down, very interesting.
  8. That is to be determined, does Taylor get moved to SP. Caufield who are some of the Japanese FA SP that will be available. I am not familiar with the Japan League.
  9. Short term view: Resign Newcomb Have a plan for Mune, either extend or start planning trade Sign a frontline FA pitcher Sign a FA catcher (Tyler Stephenson would be nice) Start extension talks with Vargas
  10. That works for me.
  11. If the Sox can't extend Mune I think the Dodgers would want him. That is if they don't extend Freeman, he will be 37 in September. Justin Ishbia has to get involved and don't let JR muck this up.
  12. RIP Tommy. I remember when the Sox traded him to the Dodgers for Dick Allen.
  13. Mize would look good on the South Side next year.
  14. The Cubs are so streaky this year.
  15. Mouthsider once again, the aerial photos are awesome. As a former skeptic of not enough land for a ballpark, I now see how a park can fit in the rail yard footprint. I was listening to the radio yesterday on Ishbia's 14th street project and road access was brought up. They also mentioned the 78 stadium and vehicle access. I don't know how the present roads could handle vehicle traffic. Have you heard of any way to tie in I-90 ? Remote parking lots with shuttles could be a solution.
  16. The Sox have Bart, Q, Romo, and Teel under control. The only catcher I don't see wearing a Sox uniform is Lee. With Q he still is a young guy that can be developed so I wouldn't get rid of him yet. Bart & Romo are backups. Is Teel the guy? I always assumed so, but he can't stay on the field. Sox have the off season to figure who stays and who goes.
  17. Hicks is signed for 2027, but Newcomb will be a FA. Resigning Newcomb would be a nice move I hope the Sox get it done in the off season.
  18. Ozzie said he hustles like Pete Rose the other night, Sam is a gamer.
  19. Be advised, you lollygag, Sam will make you pay.
  20. If you ever take a first date to the beach the White Sox are invincible
  21. Jake was indeed a big bat coming out of college but was he ever ranked as high as Bonemer (30th)? I got Caleb ahead of Jake every which way. Burger had the Achilles tear early in his pro career and then the second tear during his comeback. Maybe he never got ranked because of the injuries.
