I am happy to see the progress Vargas is making and hoping the same for Sosa. The Sox need to be patient with Sosa to see what they can get out of him. Eduardo Escobar always comes to mind on a late bloomer that had decent success after hitting 25 years old.

I will be curious to see what he has left in the tank.

Getz was 40? when he took over the GM role. I would like to see a before and after picture of him Before: Looked like a college senior planning a Florida Spring Break vacation. After (currently): Ready for Sunny Acres Retirement Village.

WSI was my main source for White Sox info back in the day, I was a read only guest and remember, LIp, George Bova, and Daver. I believe George Bova started the site, Daver was a plumber by trade, and Lip was a sports reporter and play by play man. The Admins we have here have to be respected for the time, effort, and policing they put into this site.

Trading Robert now would be like selling your house as a quick sale, as is. I would rather keep him and see if he can get out of this terrible slump and then deal him in the spring.

Whenever I see that Barrios is pitching against the Sox I don't watch. He is 14-6 lifetime now and over the years when he does pitch bad against the Sox his team bails him out and he doesn't get a loss but a no decision. Shades of Santana Sox domination.

I was listening to Jeff Meller on the radio pre-game show yesterday. He interviewed Keith Law and Keith had a real negative view on Shultz going to Charlotte. Law thought Schultz should stay down at Birmingham to work on his control. Law also touched on Hagen Smith who is also have major problems with his control and I thought he also mentioned a velocity issue. Sorry I don't have a link; it was an on-air interview. I was bummed out, the saving grace to me is Law said the Sox staff feels very confident about the move. I would really like to hear some opinions from our board because we have excellent minor league coverage.

Kenny had a good run, ring and all. Getz is learning on the fly and is shopping at the Dollar Store. I like some of his moves, let's see what he can get for Robert jr.

Our Chuck and Ozzie talked about the defense being much cleaner, turning double plays, and offensively the newbie's taking walks. Loving it !!!

I really enjoy reading on the board the different perspectives on how to handle Grant Taylor's role. Brian Bannister has proven to be astute in the development of pitching; he has earned my trust 100%.

If they do bring up Montgomery, I am assuming he will play SS? Hopefully additional young pitching can come up and help the club. Grant Taylor as a closer could be an answer to a glaring need.

I really am liking the infusion of youth to the club, Baldwin would fit right in. I don't think AV or Robert will be part of the future.

I really like what we have down in the minors and am pleasantly surprised just how solid Meidroth and Q have been. Vargas has been outstanding the last month and our starting pitching has been good. I am a White Sox fanatic and love the team, but I welcome any diehard Sox fan on this board with positive or negative comments. It has been a very trying and frustrating last couple of years but baby were back !!

My uncle had Bears season tickets in the early 60's. I seem to recall he said the 1963 season tickets were either $28 or $35. He did go to the Championship game against NY but had standing only tickets.

They would have to go 47-59 to hit 65 wins, I would welcome that! I agree the club is more competitive, keep it going.

Hopefully Lee can add some power, this club needs to launch more homers.

I don't know what Pallette's status is currently, but his numbers look good, bring him up, he can't do any worse than Boozer.
