  1. Organization Development has turned around this franchise. Players get called up and contribute at the major league level that builds confidence. Then the obvious, the White Sox finally got more lefthanded bats in their lineup. For years and years, they were so righthanded heavy.
  2. Braden Montgomery - Bee Moe or like the bank, BMO
  3. If this was posted already, I apologize. During the telecast Schriff mentioned that Joe Ryan said the White Sox are the team to beat in the AL Central. Respect!!!!
  4. Early shades of Cliffe Politte & Neal Cotts in 2005
  5. Peters has been getting it done in CF so far.
  6. I am loving it, the Sox have made solid progress so far. Looking at the position players the big 3 are incredible and at the top of MLB. C: (Teel on the mend but solid bat), Quero/Romo 1st: Muni, Elite bat, potential ROY, MVP 2nd: Chase has locked down second base, can lead off against LHP SS: Colson Elite bat & glove, can also play 3rd if needed 3rd: Vargas Elite bat, solid glove, can also play 1st RF: Nishida/Grichuk/Hill/Acuna filling in until Braden Montgomery arrives CF: Tristan Peters has been given a chance to play and has shown he has value LF: Sam, solidifies the lead off position, learning on the fly to play the outfield, he will only get better DH: Benny, 2027 could be the end of the line, he is beloved by the youngsters on the team, great mentor.
  7. Montgomery, Vargas, and Muni are opening up eyes. Martin will start getting some love along with Taylor. The grinders, Meidroth & Sam, are on the radar screen and will get noticed. The Sox are a very likable team from Venable on down, no A hole drama queens.
  8. It would be cool if the Sox select Thome and Contreras in the later rounds.
  9. I got gas in the tank, money in the bank, but the memory isn't what it used to be.
  10. Didn't Magglio go to Germany for some type of treatment for his knee? Too bad the Sox didn't resign Maggs, he played 7 more seasons with Detroit. In 2007 he came in 2nd in MVP with .363 .434 1.029
  11. Caufield I'm impressed with the list, nice work.
  12. I will take Justin Ishbia over George McCaskey and his brain trust in any business dealings.
  13. I could see being a buyer for solid bullpen help. Would a team like the Giants be interested in trading a bullpen arm for a White Sox prospect?
  14. Daniel Palka was fun, I wonder what he is up to?
  15. There will be some tough roster decisions to make coming up. Looking at possible outfielders I think Antonacci, Benintendi, and Peters are locks with Venable, they are all lefthanded hitters. I know the fans would like Benny gone but right now I don't think that will happen. I didn't think a former Savanah Banana would be a roster lock either but he has earned it. Who do you think gets added and removed to the 26 once they come off the injury list?
  16. Cool, I always enjoyed Bob Costas.
  17. Use it on Teel & Muni's knee/hamstring and Jerry's wallet.
  18. My best friend's mom worked at a Travel Agency, during the winter Glenn Beckert worker there also. Players had to get jobs in the off season. It would not be unusual for players selling shoes at Thom McAn (not Al Bundy ) ) or working at a factory. Plus, baseball players back in the day never weight trained. They were told not to lift weights because it would make them muscle bound and restrict their flexibility. Mighty Mite I know you you know all this but any younger fan might not.
  19. Star Trek (original) > Star Wars White Sox > Cubs I believe I was in the Twilight Zone today ,the Score actually had some Sox news.
  20. The Babe Ruth of Japan will take some time off and heal up. In the meantime, the Babe Ruth of AAA will bring his 19 homers and 1.004 OPS up north to lend a helping hand. Gonzalez can play all 4 infield positions and DH if needed. I hope he repeats what Colson Montgomery did last year when he was called up, RAKE!!! This isn't your Pedro Grifol White Sox
  21. In the mid 1990's Cleveland was so stacked with position players that they had to move Brian Giles, Richie Sexson, Sean Casey, Jeromy Burnitz, and David Bell. I am probably omitting somebody, but that list had some big-time studs on it. Cleveland could rake, run and play great defense, but their Achilles heel was pitching.
  22. This is a good problem to have.
  23. Does Boston have any interest in trading for Leasure?😁
