“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
Here is why JR doesn't matter, have you heard him say anything about what Ishbia's plans are? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

I agree that JR can still screw things up in the present for the team. But JR is basically a lame duck on any local Chicago stadium desires Ishiba has.

The Sox entrance to the upper deck was the issue. If the entrance was in the middle of the upper deck and you walked up or walked down to your aisle would have solved the problem. Nobody complains about Dodger Stadium.

JR doesn't matter, this is Ishbia's time.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
I don't want to see Acuna in the starting lineup until the Sox are up 7 with 6 games to go.

9/5 Sox vs. Twins 6:10PM CT
Let the Twins beatdown continue, Mune hits #30 tonight, the slug is athing.

The new park would be accessible from Ogilvie by walking a couple blocks to the Green Line and getting off at Roosevelt, easy peasy. I assume the property's west of the new park would also be developed. Also, I envision shuttle's to parking lots like the Cubs do. If the Cubs still draw hayseeds from Iowa the Sox can draw from the Chicagoland area.

Winners thread ! Sox win ! 4-1
When the Sox slug, they are no slouches, FEAR The Sox. 26-14 against the AL Central, that is taking care of business.

Catchers, Catchers, Anywhere?
Romo is on the Taxi Squad

9/4 Sox vs. Twins 6:40PM CT
I hope Teel is in the starting lineup tonight.

Catchers, Catchers, Anywhere?
Teel's bat is the weapon our catching has been lacking all year.

What to do about Castillo for the rest of the season?
Steve Stone was on the radio this morning and he mentioned if the Sox could tinker with Castillo's arm slot. I agree with you about trying an opener. If they can't get him right, then come up with some fictious injury and sit him down.

I drove up to Minneapolis through a snow blizzard to attend the Hormel Foods Baseball Classic on March 1, 2002, at the Hubert H Humphrey Metrodome. The teams were Minnesota, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida Atlantic. The whole time I was white knuckling it on I-94 I knew there was going to be baseball when I got there. That was the only thing that validated the HHH Metrodome.

9/4 Sox vs. Twins 6:40PM CT
Buxton and Joe Ryan are still on the IL. Sox beatdown begins Friday night through Sunday night, Mune and the boys bring out the lumber. Monday will be a day of rest.

Mike Vasil "The Wizard"
Magic Wand Night! Sox start kicking butts and taking names, it's Friday Night at the Rate.

Mike Vasil "The Wizard"
It will be interesting to see how he is used in 2028 either as a starter or relief.

I agree the open-air ball parks are the best. But if we had the terrible summers of Az, Texas, and Florida sign me up for a dome.

9/2 GT, Sox vs. Astros, 7:10. Keep 'em Separated
Martin looked excellent and if he can pitch like that the rest of the season, it will take care of some the pitching issues. The Sox couldn't touch Wesneski's sweeper. That was by far the best sweeper I have seen go up against the Sox all year. Braden smokes a line drive that Altuve leaps up and catches, then Altuve drops Chase's liner and gets a double play. Sometimes it just isn't your night.

Catchers, Catchers, Anywhere?
Sounds good as long as Teel doesn't get reinjurned.

Catchers, Catchers, Anywhere?
We will have to see how this all plays out, by sending Romo down they still have his rights and can call him back up. Sending Rogers down risks another team picks him up. With the pitching, especially relievers there could be a revolving door with call ups and players sent down until the playoffs. Once the playoffs start teams are back to a 26 man roster.

Catchers, Catchers, Anywhere?
I was watching the Sox Machine podcast this morning with Jim Margulis and Josh Nelson. They discussed that since the Sox signed Tommy Phan the Sox will most likely go with only 2 catchers. Jim said Rogers is out of options, but Romo still has options, so he believes Romo goes down when Teel is brought up.
