  1. Sox opening day OF, Hays LF, Acuna CF, Pereira RF. Hays only played 12 games and Pereira 27, if they stayed healthy Pereira would have moved to CF and Braden in RF.........Could of, should of, might of.
  2. How about trying an opener for Martin before the IL ? In both the Yankee & Red Sox games he struggled big time in the first inning.
  3. I am not trying to show you up, but I said the same thing last night in the bottom of the first :)
  4. I have not heard if Pereira was picked up yet, I assume he will be. But if does not I would welcome him back.
  5. Burke's Law is on the case.
  6. I looked at Urquidy for possible help at #5 with Noah scuffling, not at #1/2 for Martin.
  7. Looking at Doyle & Mike Cameron, their first 3 full seasons look comparable. Coors Field has to be taken into account for hitting but defensively and stealing bases are close. With his outstanding defense and speed at worst he is a 4th outfielder. Get his bat going again and he is a stud.
  8. Trying to find any positives from the beat down in Boston. Doyle did have a put out in his first game with the Sox. That's about all I could come up with. Tonight it's pay back time.
  9. in Roch we trust
  10. I predict Joey Bart's bat alone will lift the Sox historic low combined offensive output at the catching position in an upward projection.
  11. Go down and get it together Q or at least back to 2025 levels.
  12. Lip, Q might be in the dog house, but I would say Lee is in the out house
  13. That is an awesome outfield defense.
  14. RF has been a black hole for years, thankfully Braden has resolved that problem. CF has an All Star, Peters might be running on fumes, but he had an awesome first half. LF has Sam patrolling and learning on the job. In the preseason I thoughts these 3 positions were the Sox biggest weakness and the catching with Teel & Q was rock solid. Let's see what the last 1/3 of the season brings.
  15. Hill was a great waiver pick up but once Braden came up and took over right field, he was the odd man out. Peters took off and was playing great which was totally unexpected.
  16. Adams coming off TJ is a factor that comes into play.
  17. Pereira spent so much time on the IL I think the risk of another injury forced Getz to find someone who could play CF. Hays wasn't ready and he really isn't the answer in CF. We were joking that Pereria tripped on the team plane and knocked himself out.
  18. B. I think both pitching additions will be beneficial, Doyle is excellent for his stellar defense but a work in progress on the offense side, another plus is he is not concussed. Bart is insurance. I don't care about the money or the players we flipped.
  19. He is day to day with an leg infection , should be ok
  20. Correct me if I am missing something here: Pereira is DFA and Doyle is on the 26-man roster and will platoon with Peters. Q is being sent down and Joey Bart will platoon with Romo. Castillo will start and Fedde will go to the pen. Noah Schultz is still a starter Brazoban goes to the pen taking Dominguez role. Don't the Sox have to send 1 more player down or DFA off the 26 man ( Hays is still rehabbing? but once his rehab is complete it will be either him or Grichuk getting DFA)
  21. Sean has an interesting take on the trade X (formerly Twitter)CHGO White Sox (@CHGO_WhiteSox) on XBrenton Doyle trade reaction from @Sean_W_Anderson! Sox get a controllable center fielder…but the price may have been too high?
  22. Whoa, big move by the Cubs.
  23. I hope when the clock strikes 6:00 the intentions of this trade will be clear.
  24. He might be selling insurance in a couple years after pitching in Coors Field.
