Could Boston Smith be the sell high guy? The last time the Sox traded for a starting pitcher named Freddy, Jeremy Reed was part of the package. Reed hit .409 down in Birmingham and was thought to be a future superstar. Peralta does have the pedigree to command a return; he was 5th in CY last year and has plenty of playoff experience. I would rather have a controllable player if possible.
