  1. Here is the game plan: The Bears remodel existing Solider Field The Sox move to The 78 The Fire move into Sox Park The Jacksonville Jaguars or better yet, the Tennesse Titans buy Arlington Park and build a new stadium , up your's Nashville
  2. I love Locked On White Sox Todd Welter's take on Dave Stewart. I don't want Stewart in a GM or any baseball decision role with the White Sox. Also there is no way Dave Stewart will ever be the majority owner of a baseball team because he doesn't have the money. Stewart could end up doing what Derek Jeter did with Miami and being a part owner, but that is far from being the majority owner that makes all the final decisions.
  3. The 78 is the right move for the future of the Chicago White Sox. A new owner with money and a vision and could turn it into the gold standard for baseball parks. it could be the gem of the South Loop, surrounded by restaurants and entertainment. I love Sox Park, I think it's great, but anyone from out of town will come away with a negative opinion of the neighborhood. Once inside the park I think they would admit the experience of watching the game is pretty good, would they really want to come back, probably not, unfortunately the park is not a destination. In the long run I want 2 things, the Sox stay in Chicago for another 120 + years, and TLR is out the door when the new owner walks in.
  4. I survived 2024 but if the Sox ever moved out of town or a group from Dubai bought the club I would be done with baseball.
  5. As a Sox fan, I was never a fan of Dave Stewart, he was on par with Hal McRae. His arrest and tough guy act along with his high pitch voice made for some hilarious comments from fans. I still don't like him today for his comments back when he was with Oakland.
  6. There's 9.5 million people in the Chicagoland area and you are saying no expansion team would move here ?
  7. Ding ding ding , we have a winner , Rusty you get a cigar with that post
  8. If the Stewart group does end up buying the Sox why would they move them to Nashville? Leaving Chicago would be a huge mistake .
  9. I see my 2024-win total of +100 was a little high. Not to be negative but for the 2025 season I will drop down to the 94-99 win total. I reserve the right to go into the + 100 if the Sox sign Soto in F/A.
  10. "Good pitching stops good hitting" err, wait, what's the new saying according to WAR ?
  11. After watching Carlos Rodon dominate the Guardians, I can't help but think of Crochett, Schultz, and Smith doing the same thing. Getz has his power left-handed pitching of the future, now go find some bats.
  12. I always learn something at Sox Talk. When someone mentioned to move the Red Stars into Sox Park I didn't know who they were until I googled them.
  13. I enjoyed the article and will be looking forward to the ceremony with Ron Kittle.
  14. Falstaff replied to 2Deep's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I am happy the Sox moved on from Kopech and Eloy, soon to be followed by Yoan, happy trails.
  15. I like the Sox young pitching, and the work Bannister has done so far. Let's see the same player development on the position players coming up. Skip Schumaker fits the bill, but he might be waiting for the St. Louis job to open up.
  16. I would add Lou Brown to the manager search list.
  17. I hope they should lose their small market status when it comes to the draft
  18. The City or State is not going to put out any money besides infrastructure to the Bears new stadium on the lake front or the Sox at the 78, it just will not happen. So, if both teams do end up getting private funding the 78 will happen but the Bears will never get a shovel in the ground with lawsuits from the Friends of the Park. Warren is delusional and should move on and either build at Arlington Hts or sell the land and remodel Soldier Field which has already been floated out there by the previous mayor.
  19. Excellent!! I Luv Our Chuck and Ozzie
  20. If this was already posted I apologize, Chuck will be doing the CHSN White Sox pre and post. No word on Ozzie yet. Chuck's X , sorry can't get link as White Sox pregame and postgame host! The podcast is coming over, too. Looking forward to what’s next and serving Chicago sports fans: the best on the planet.
  21. Holiday's minor league stats are just the type of player that the White Sox need. 304/443/486, ops. 928. I love his walk total is almost at his strike out level , 201 walks 207 k's. 20 year old , ehh what the heck pull the trigger on this internet fantasy trade.
  22. I did not hear he passed, RIP Harry.
  23. Skip Schumaker is my choice.
