RHP Ben Peoples to TEX for C Ben Hartl (High A)
If Shane Smith and Tanner McDougal are getting closer and Sandlin has already demonstrated he can contribute at the MLB level, then Peoples was expendable. In the 1/2 half I think the Sox relief pitching will have new faces with more specific roles.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
If Ishiba wasn't in the picture, I would bet dollars to donuts Mune isn't signed to an extension. Even with Ishbia's money it isn't a 100% lock for Mune to stay. It will be very interesting what direction the Sox go with Mune, Gonzalez, Bonemer, and possibly Roch.

Upcoming Roster Crunch
I am hoping Schultz with a healthy knee gets back to form.

Sandlin called up to start, Rock sent down to work on himself
I was watching Ian Eskridge/James Fox on their Future Sox podcast. I was encouraged that James mentioned Hicks was showing signs of figuring it out when he was down on his rehab assignment.

I think he has a chest. I heard Lawrence Holmes mention a slide into home last night, and a hbp.

This Day In Sox History 6/28...
I met Don Kolloway while having a beer at McCuddy's I believe in 1977. He was a pleasure to talk to, a real gentleman.

Sox now have a Big Three. Mura, Vargas and Colson.
Great hearing from you, get your connection squared away and post more.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
I like that the Sox presently have a good mixture of drafting, developing, and scouting other teams cast offs. Peters, Grichuk, Periara, Perez, Rock, S Smith, and Romo come to mind. I am a prospect hugger, but I know the smart play is keep drafting and developing at a high level and move some prospects for established players.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
If the Sox have Roch scheduled to throw out the first pitch against the A's Saturday afternoon, I will assume it's a done deal.

Would Boston consider trading Garrett Whitlock? He would be a nice addition to the pen.

With a 17-1 lead I didn't get nervous when Hicks came in the game.

If there is a shutdown closer on that waiting list Getz needs to speed the process up.

Look at Grichuk's production, he was an in-season F/A signing and fits into your narrative. The big splash might look like the smart move, but it doesn't always work out.

An ominous future...
Millionaires and billionaires going at it, just work it out behind closed doors please. I don't want to see or hear either side air their dirty laundry. I have no empathy for either.

This Day In Sox History 6/25...
The largest crowd I was ever at for a baseball game was in 1973, it was packed to the gills. A doubleheader bat game against the Twins, the attendance was 55,000 (so they say)
