  1. Steve Wilson should help out once he gets back from rehab. He isn't elite but he is at least competent. More pitching call ups please !!!!
  2. credentials: I am just a lifetime fan of the White Sox. I get most of my info from tuned in fans on this site along with a couple other podcasts. I also could be off base on the current White Sox team having a toxic clubhouse. For the 2024 season your mention of this is the first I have heard of it. Not his exact words but Chuck Garfein mentioned on I believe Monday pregame that the Sox clubhouse is great, but the fans want wins to go along with it.
  3. LOL , The Athletic doesn't even have a writer assigned to them, James Fegan , he gone. There is a difference between being in a losing environment and a toxic clubhouse
  4. I have not heard of any locker room issues , Crochet, Nastrini and Cannon were very complimentary of Clevenger and other vets
  5. I voted 25-29 to show an improvement minus Pedro as the skipper. If there was an 20-25 option, I would have selected it.
  6. Trevor Hoffman "power arm" didn't get him in the HoF.
  7. absolutely , add Mason Adams to the call up list. Soroka needs to move on.
  8. Dang west coast game , I'll be out cold by the 2nd -3rd inning. Tuesday night : Thorpe vs Woo, Ronnie Woo Woo would go to town on this game
  9. I am in 100% agreement with you
  10. One of the best change up ever was HoF Trevor Hoffman. He was a very soft tosser but was basically unhittable. Johan Santana was another great pitcher with an unhittable change up, he owned the White Sox. I am pumped up to see the Sox playing the youngsters , let's go !!
  11. Gavin hits a slam, Bello does a Ted Lilly baby rant and tosses his glove on the ground, next we get a "Put it on the board" home run call. ? Winning is fun and fun is winning
  12. Reverend Ike, " Brothers and sisters can I get a, Southside Stand Up! "
  13. 18 years old and has the potential to be special.
  14. More South Side Stand Up please.
  15. I love watching Crochet pitch, big mf'er that will leg kick and bring the heat. He's a keeper, don't trade him away.
  16. 2024 : I would keep Crochet, Fedde ,and Robert , move Moncada, Jiminez, and Kopech for whatever they can get. Move Benintendi to parking lot attendee before and after the game, with Churro vendor duties during the game. 2025 could see the likes of Iriarte, Adams, Bush, Eder, and Thorpe. 2025-2026 Noah Schultz has the making of an elite top of the line starter. The guy has been unhittable at every level and is only going to get better. Brooks Baldwin has an .429 obp and .363 obp in 3 years of minor league ball, get him up now. Jacob Gonzales, Quero, Colson Montgomery are getting closer to coming up. I want to see what to see what the 2025 season brings, it cannot be worse then the present. The Sox could also trade Crochet & Robert in 20025 if the decide to.
  17. 2005 had the magical bullpen season with Cotts, Politte, Vizcaino, Marte, and then 3 closers starting off with Shingo then Hermanson and then Jenks. Politte and Cotts were lights out. 2006 added Thome which was huge but CF became a hole with Anderson not panning out. The 2006 starting pitching and bullpen had a big drop off from 2005. Only the White Sox would have a gong sound when Shingo came in from the bullpen. Shingo was Japanese not Chinese.
  18. I would not doubt that LaRussa is in Jerry's ear about Pat Leyland's possible future in Chicago some day, how soon who knows. Leyland has the bloodlines and at 32 years old has Kanny 33-19.
  19. No trade please, extend Crochett.
  20. For me to root for the Sox to lose is right there with cheering for my property taxes go up and my 401k to tank.
  21. I want to give another shout out to all at Future Sox for all they do. My 2 favs are Elijah Evans & jeff Cohen. Elijah is in a class by himself and jeff gets a firsthand prospectus and does interviews with the players. Sports radio and all the tv sports entertainment shows have zero appeal to me. Pat Macafee and Aaron Rodgers probably was the bottom of the barrel along with Dan Berstein.
  22. I agree with trading Robert. The guy Robert reminds me of is Eric Davis to some degree. Davis put up some great years but was always injured.
  23. Crochet was awesome and then the pen, whoa!! Leasure and Kopech were throwing strikes, what a thing of beauty.
  24. Mariotti was a terrible, miserable man and his career is OVAH after assaulting his girlfriend at the time. The old saying, "what goes around comes around", might be appropriate. I am glad there are so many more ways to gets my sports info. The old days was newspapers, magazines, 2-4 minutes for sports on the local evening news. Sports radio filled a local niche for diehard sports enthusiasts, but in time it turned to crap. I no longer listen to the Score or MVP 1000. Weird people and degenerate gamblers seem to be the hosts. Dan (A Big Boob) Bernstein had the reins passed to him from Mariotti and is the current biggest ass hat. I can get my Sox on with plenty of podcasts from very informed people. No need to go to Sportscenter or local sports radio. I still think Bruce Levine is a legit baseball reporter and will not lump him in with the cesspool of the Score. Stand Up for Schriff ?
  25. Cleveland kept the name and the history of the Browns. I think it was the only bright spot for their fans after getting shafted by Modell.
