Moncada and Eloy are not going to be part of the 2025 White Sox. One thing Getz is doing is building a controllable pitching staff for the future. He will have money to get a bat or two in free agency.

2018 Daniel Palka was a blast, I loved it. Even 2017 Matt Davidson was highly entertaining. I think Sheets can stick around longer than most people think. A left-handed bat with power that can DH/1st base off the bench has value. In a pinch, if you have to, you can put in the outfield.

1970 was by far the worse season I can remember, 106 losses. I will never quit being a Sox fan no matter what. When I am and dead and gone my obit will give the Sox a shout out.

Unfortunately, if a Sox player is nursing a leg injury and doesn't go full tilt down to first base he will make the highlight reel as Robert jr did and get labeled a slacker out of context.
-
Moncada was busting it out of the box, he was full tilt when he collapsed before first base.

Who is a decent replacement for Pedro? Patrick Leyland will probably be an MLB manager someday down the road in a few years. Pedro is on the clock, tick tick tick.

4/8 Sox @ Cleveland (4:10CT) - Banks vs. McKenzie

Were the Sox wearing solar eclipse glasses during their at bats? -
Robert's contract makes him very desirable, after 2024 he still has 3 years of control. 2025 - $15M 2026- $20M 2027- $20M He will be a future $300M player just not on the White Sox. Reinsdorf will not pay the money to keep him.

a - I think Robert would draw plenty of interest throughout MLB. b- I have confidence in Getz for trades c- The Sox have made solid moves towards player development with the additions Barfield and Bannister. I will be honest, I don't have a clue about Jin Wong

For the 2024 season I hope Robert jr comes back healthy and is in All Star form. I would trade him for the best available package out there. In 2025 I want the Sox to move on from Eloy, Robert jr, and Moncada. After 2024 Sox can buy out both Eloy and Moncada , adios, Benintendi is 3 more years unfortunately. Vaughn is going to have to produce this year or he is out also.

White Sox win today and are on their way to a possible142-20 season.

Getz and Pedro should go. Product on the field is horrible.

I feel pretty good about Getz taking over the GM role. The starting pitching and defense has been pretty good so far, but the lack of run production is painful to watch. -
Jiminez out an additional 8 weeks after Doctor performing a patellar reflex test to Eloy's knee bruises bone causing fluid retention.

White Sox bring Mike Clevinger back, pending physical

Not the best look , yuk -
If Crochet is pitching just his leg kick alone will get the Sox in the top 10 of viewership. He must see TV.

If Clevinger's arm is healthy and has his plus fastball he is filthy. -
My brother-in-law texts me every day on Burgers ab's to my chagrin. The only upside is Kenny is gone for good.

White Sox, Nats, Rockies already at 0.2%-0.0% playoff odds

So you're saying the Sox have a chance, EXCELLENT -
And that's a 3-2 Garrett Crochet led White Sox winner!
Falstaff replied to chitownsportsfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Crochet was dealing, flat out nasty. Good luck trying to hit against him. -
The Sox need to clone Braves & Dodgers scouts
-
When the Sox signed him I was very optimistic , he gone.

These are 3 things that I can say with total confidence about Jerry Reinsdorf: 1- Could provide advice on buying a top-notch cigar. 2- Would be the go to guy for recommendations on a Roth IRA conversion. 3- Sox at 78 will happen

Getz has got this; he can make moves and decisions and probably has a list of candidates to replace Grifol if needed.
