Me, I care

I am a happy camper with what I am reading about Venable. His credentials are so impressive, Princeton, Special Assistant to Theo, bench coach under a future HoF manager in Boche. Getz came through to get Will onboard, good job.
-
Now that you put it that way let me rethink this over. Yep, still a buzz kill if Nevin gets hired.

Judge Smails from Caddyshack, "You'll get nothing and like it! "

Buzz kill if Nevin gets hired. I survived the 2024 White Sox, I guess I could get through 1 year or a 1 1/2 years of Nevin until he is canned.
-
With Skip Schumaker out my new list of the final 3 in order: #1 Grady #2 Sergio Santos #3 Albernaz #3a Phil Nevin (last resort)
-
What is the opinion of Phil Nevin getting the job? I remember him as a ballplayer, he had a decent career. Is Getz regulated to the Dollar Store for his hire?
-
I am not sure which podcast, either Locked on White Sox or Future Sox were discussing the managerial candidates, and it was mentioned that there is not a clear-cut fan's pick and that it could go in any direction.

I see ads for Verizon Whole Home Internet. When is 6G coming out

Does anyone use 5G from their cell phone provider for home internet/Wi-Fi? And what is your opinion of the service I wouldn't mind cutting out my cable company.

I don't know, but I've been told Jerry Reinsdorf gotta go Boom-shaka-laka-laka Boom-shaka-laka-laka Boom-shaka-laka-laka -
Not sure. I thought I saw Montgomery playing 3rd down in AZ, I could be wrong. I have also read that Montgomery in the long run is more suited for 3rd over SS.

My Skip Schumaker love is getting a TLR reality check, dagnabbit, there's always a catch.

I am trying to think what the Sox will do assuming they keep Vaughn, how about the following: 1st base: Ramos (even if he is new to the position I will take his glove over Vaughn's) 2nd base: Sosa 3rd base: Vargus sink or swim and then move on and then call up Montgomery to replace him Full time DH: Vaughn, just let him concentrate on hitting. I am not expecting miracles here. Release Sheets

I thought I would put this out there, JR sells the White Sox and buys the Twins. That's a two for one, The Sox instantly improve, and the Twins start to decline.

Lawrence Kansas .... the first thing I think of is Quantrill and Bloody Bill Anderson

The parking lot is like a roach motel , you can get in but you can't get out

If anyone has been to a Dodger game they understand why fans leave early.

After hearing other possible candidates, my choices are: #1 - Skip #2 - Grady I am optimistic for 2025 to see the pitching staff improvements and what position players take the next step.

I love Locked On White Sox Todd Welter's take on Dave Stewart. I don't want Stewart in a GM or any baseball decision role with the White Sox. Also there is no way Dave Stewart will ever be the majority owner of a baseball team because he doesn't have the money. Stewart could end up doing what Derek Jeter did with Miami and being a part owner, but that is far from being the majority owner that makes all the final decisions. -

The 78 is the right move for the future of the Chicago White Sox. A new owner with money and a vision and could turn it into the gold standard for baseball parks. it could be the gem of the South Loop, surrounded by restaurants and entertainment. I love Sox Park, I think it's great, but anyone from out of town will come away with a negative opinion of the neighborhood. Once inside the park I think they would admit the experience of watching the game is pretty good, would they really want to come back, probably not, unfortunately the park is not a destination. In the long run I want 2 things, the Sox stay in Chicago for another 120 + years, and TLR is out the door when the new owner walks in. -

I survived 2024 but if the Sox ever moved out of town or a group from Dubai bought the club I would be done with baseball. -

As a Sox fan, I was never a fan of Dave Stewart, he was on par with Hal McRae. His arrest and tough guy act along with his high pitch voice made for some hilarious comments from fans. I still don't like him today for his comments back when he was with Oakland.
