Get those tickets NOW! (LOL)...
I don't think Sox fans are going to rain on your parade and feels your pain. The Sox fan would use "smarter" instead of " better" and it would be geared towards Cub fans and the media. Sox fan - think they are smarter fan for not supporting terrible baseball Cub fan - think they deserve a title as the better fan because Wrigley Field is sold out

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
I did not know that, I haven't been in a casino in over 25 years. I will check out the Des Plaines casino.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
I would rather get first hand info from gambling Sox fans

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
I would bet on the Sox to go over 49.5 wins, but I will never put a gambling app on my phone. (what could go wrong?) Las Vegas isn't an option, are there any walk-up places to place this bet in Illinois?

White Sox hire Phil Nevin as Special Assistant in Player Development
That cracked me up The really sad part of Hawk firing TLR was that Dave Duncan followed Tony to Oakland. Duncan turned into one of the best pitching coaches in baseball.

Likable guy but his body is too fragile

CWS Acquire Reliever Cam Booser from BOS
I don't know if Booser pans out at 32, but it wouldn't surprise me if he has some success. Relievers come out of nowhere sometimes, look at Chafin with the Cubs. Granted he was a 1st round pick and was respectable and then at 30 years old put together 3 awesome seasons out of the pen. The Cubs flipped him at the trade deadline in 2021 to Oakland. Liam Hendricks is another example of a 30 year old finally putting it together and becoming an All Star.

I will agree with you that the McCaskey's are just stupid

Schriffen does it again...
I love these Schriffen threads, keep them coming. All that is missing is a SCTV episode with Eugene Levy, Joe Flaherty, and John Candy. I have Joe Flaherty playing Scriff.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
As bad as the Sox are I still don't loathe them like I loathe the Bears. JR might be bad but he is nowhere near as bad as the McCaskey's.

I am pushing the chips all in on 63 wins.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
Ideally it would be better to trade Robert after if he has a big first half, but the risk of injury isn't worth the wait. Trade him for what they can get and move on.

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
Losing 121 games was embarrassing, but the gong for Shingo was a bit too much. You can't blame Schriffen for that one.

Good to hear Schreef is working

Nashville Mayor...
I agree with you but JR is one of the few owners that has a sweetheart money-making deal on a publicly funded stadium.

State of the farm system
I think the Sox have addressed their weaknesses in drafting and development but now they have to show results going forward.

State of the farm system
Back in 2012 when the Sox traded Eduardo Escobar, I didn't even give it a thought because of Beckham was locked in at 2nd base. I still am amazed in the direction their careers went. I first saw Beckham at 2008 Sox ST in Tucson and was giving my brother-in-law daily updates. Beckham was going to be the answer at 2nd base, Gordo had the makings of a superstar and the hair to boot. A 1st round draft pick out of a powerhouse college conference, what could go wrong? The only upside is I totally enjoy Beckham on the pre and post and also when he broadcasts from time to time, great guy.

State of the farm system
Callis was talking about Montgomery coming over from Boston, he is very positive on him. When asked about Colsom Montgomery Callis brought up his struggles in 2024. I personally thought Sosa looked great at the end of the season and deserves a shot as a starter. Callis thinks Meidroth can make the team in the 2025 season..
