Tribe at Sox, Friday makeup DH 2:10 PM Start
Falstaff replied to chitownsportsfan's topic in 2025 Season in Review
I am just tuning in, why did Smith get pulled out after 3 innings? -
If the Sox packaged Houser, Wilson and Cory Lee together to a team needing pitching and catching depth could they get a decent power bat prospect in return? I know the 3 Sox players are not elite, but Houser and Wilson are both having a solid year and Lee is a viable backup.

White Sox acquire OF Will Robertson from Blue Jays
Falstaff replied to WestEddy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Hits lefthanded, has some pop, can play all 3 outfield positions, ok I am on board for a look. -
These pitching scouting wins seem to be adding up.

Houser timeline: Texas signed Houser in the off season on 12/3/24 and sent him to Round Rock where he was 2-2 with a 5.03 era. Texas then released him on 5/15/25. Sox signed Houser on 5/20/25, with 9 starts he is 5-2 with a 1.56 era

I am confident that Bannister is already eyeing next season's rehab project.

Bannister is having success

Sox trade Andrew Vaughn to acquire Aaron Civale
Falstaff replied to WestEddy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would rather see a youngster get called up instead of giving innings to Civale. -
Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Falstaff replied to ChiSoxFanMike's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I wish Robert jr. had as much trade interest as Byron Buxton. -

I right there with you on those guys also, good riddance. -
For the rest of 2025 keep Montgomery at SS and play him regularly.

Sox trade Andrew Vaughn to acquire Aaron Civale
Falstaff replied to WestEddy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I don't care what Vaughn does in Milwaukee, he couldn't get it done here. -
3 tool player: + speed, + defense, + arm

I never had an issue with the Sox trading Sam Sosa and his Flintstone vitamins to the Cubs.
-
Assuming Robert jr is traded sometime before the start of 2026 I would like to see the Sox keep either Tauchman or Taylor. With the youth movement it can't hurt to have a veteran reserve outfielder on hand to show how to play the game.

The Harlem Globetrotters have lost 345 games in their history, according to the Harlem Globetrotters. However, they have also achieved a remarkable 27,000 wins, giving them the best winning percentage (.987) in professional sports history, according to the Harlem Globetrotters. This includes a period where they had a winning streak of 24 years and 8,829 games, which was broken in 1995.

With this lineup the defense up the middle is good but the corners are a bit shaky. I would like to see if they can work with Vargas on his defense at 3rd base. Can Sosa move to a corner outfield position and bring in a slugger for 1st base ?

"It's a wonderful life", oops wrong Capra.
-
There should be a conga line of Sox players going down to Az Complex to get work in.
-
Houser is on a roll but what he did last night in Denver really was impressive. Granted the Rockies aren't featuring the mauling lineup they have had in the past, but Coors Field has as history of humbling the most elite pitchers in the game.
-
I am digging this daily lineup with Q, Teel, Meidroth, Vargas, adding Baldwin and Montgomery to the mix is even better. The Sox had their all Rookie up the middle lineup last night.
-
LR jr hurting and now Taylor in a collision I would be hesitant to send Baldwin down.
-
I saw something the other day on Mike Vasil doing his batman imitation, funny stuff. The youngsters are all likeable, it should be a good run.

The Sox are 20-11 against the Giant's in interleague play. Plus, the Sox have a World Series win against the Giants. "In the words of Les Grossman, Go F yourself"
