QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) Did you just re-link the present thread? Soxy! Sorry, it's been one of those days. . .

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 07:17 PM) I'm going to go ahead and post this again because the first response was unsatisfactory. Can someone...anyone!...please find me the name of both the title and artist for the song played during the french thief's museum heist--yes, the one where he danced on through--in Ocean's Twelve. Thanks! Soxtalk's collective well of useless information.........yes. Is it one of these?

QUOTE(the southside tiger @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 05:52 PM) This is pathetic. Seems Jon of 2004 is back. The same worthless wimp who blamed his failures on the fans and everybody but himself. :headshake

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) Interesting to note, the rains of Katrina are not that far away from us right now. This has taken a way more straight northerly track vs the trending to the east that was expected. We might get some of this rain. We're supposed to be getting some of that today in Upstate NY--it's already looking kind of foul, so I imagine the rain won't be far behind. And, glad to hear you're okay Rex!

To be honest, your best bet is to look at one of those service maps what has where the best coverage is. Because, I think, regionally the best cell phone providers will vary. Where I am I have the best service with Cingular, but in Minnesota Cingular service was average at best. So, I would say look to see which cellphone has the best coverage for your area and go with that.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) Way off. Look at the top of the list of things he's been in, and I think my joke is fairly obvious. I got it.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) GM usually means "Give me". I also know what T&A means, so draw your own conclusions... Man, college has made you an imprudent little wippersnapper!

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) Great Minds Think Alike. We posted about the same thing at the same time. Ahhhhhh. . . But if great minds think alike, mediocre minds must also think alike.

QUOTE(marsh @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) Who exactly is discrediting the site? Sox management? Sox players? Why should we care if they discredit the site? Isn't this a "fan" site? It seems that "outside forces" are putting pressure on this to be done. Am I wrong? The posters are discrediting the site by making it unreadable, crude, crass and more about insulting the players for their mistakes than it actually being about the Sox. I, personally, have enjoyed Pale Hose talk a LOT more since the rules were put into effect. And I don't think any outside force is putting pressure on this site. It's more an issue of the people who run the site wanting it to be a respectful and thoughtful place to talk the about the Sox.

Baj was the bright-spot of that game. And I'm sad a lot of people missed that because they were too busy talking about Buehrle's game. So, congrats to Baj.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) Murry is cool. He was the last one to get back to the stage after the audience run through. During one song they go into the audience to meet the kids and sign stuff. They all got back on stage for the next song, EXCEPT FOR MURRY WHO STAYED OUT WITH EVERYBODY AND SHOOK HANDS SOME MORE!!! HOW EXCITING IS THAT!?! Is Murry the hot one?

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) why are there two #45's? Because Bobby Jenks is just that good.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) guys... the numbers are the numbers of our players... No Ozzie and no Frank?

QUOTE(Goldmember @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 09:29 AM) speaking of phish covers, should listen to their cover of gin and juice-- /only phish song i remotely like... Eh, The Gourds version is better.

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) I was going to try to be more specific, but I couldn't figure out exactly how. How about.. not regarding casual friendships (i.e.. hair style comments) but in close friendships, relationships (married, or exclusively dating, or parental). Relationships where you're supposed to be able to be honest about any and everything.. no matter how stupid or potentially distructive... is it best to be completely open... or keep a bit back for sake of harmony or not hurting your friend/partner/parent...?? I think it depends on the friend. Like my college roommate would never really say anything negative like, your hair looks like crap. Which was fine--because I knew not to ask her. I do have a friend that is totally brutally honest about everything, and I know I can be that way with her. So, I guess it depends on the person, your relationship with them, and all that.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 09:14 AM) Pat Robertson the ball is in your court. See, he just wanted to "take out" Chavez to a lovely dinner as a thank you.

It depends. Me not telling someone their new perm makes them look like a poodle, not deception. Me not telling my best friend I'm sleeping with her brother or boyfriend, yes. I guess it depends on what it is you're omitting. . .

For myself, although she's a lot older than I am, I would say Francis McDormand. I loved her in Fargo and I think she's just terrific. Closer to my own age probably Scottish actress Kelly MacDonald.

I had this discussion with some friends over lunch and I thought it was interesting. Not necessarily an actor/actress that looks like you, but more an actor that you think would really capture you. Thought it might be kinda fun.

QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 10:32 PM) aren't you going to argue just for the sake of arguing? like everyone else in this thread? this gamethread was awful. This was a game thread? Could have fooled me. . .

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) I didn't see the performance in question, but I saw the new sound/new look Clarkson on an SNL appearance a few months back and Ifound it much more appealing than the American Idol bubblegum version. I like her sound a lot better now, I think this new album is really good. I don't regret spending the money on it. But, I think her bleach blonde, super thin look is far less attractive. She went from pretty and normal looking to cookie cutter superstar look. But the music is good, so I just won't look at her as I rock out.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) I loathe MTV. I was told to turn it on during Kelly Clarkson's train wreck performance, and that's all i saw. Speaking of which, what the hell happened to her? She used to be so pretty. Why was her performance so bad?
