  1. Blackhawks should be fine when they get Johnsson and Seabrook back. I mean, is it any wonder they are letting up goals with three of the best defenders out? While, Campbell won't return unless we have a deep run in the playoffs, I think we should see a marked improvement with Seabs and Johnsson returning.
  2. And now with the glove. I think he'll be alright though.
  3. Oney is kid who feels entitled to everything just because his last name is Guillen. It's time he grow up.
  4. I saw some Wolves in Chicago, too. Weird thing was they were on ice skates....Yeah bad joke.
  5. I have Louisville upsetting Duke. Duke's played nobody toward the end of the year and won a couple of real close games in the ACC Tournament. I think Pitino and Louisville's tough schedule (notwithstanding the Big East's demise thus far this tournament) could cause the upset.
  6. Not sure it's really a good thing b/c minor league relievers usually don't become great major league relievers, usually it's the failed starters, but our system has some great relievers. Maybe they are just great minor league relievers, but still they post ridiculous numbers.
  7. As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, Aquino has been a bum every major league season since his first one. I don't expect that to change and his mediocre stuff to get better. Because of the reward associated with Santos, I am keeping him, especially with a group of very solid starters who should go six innings each time. Add to that guys like Thornton, Putz, Liney, Pena and Williams are looking solid, I think you can afford to take the risk associated with Santos as the last guy. Also, it's not like Aquino is a Hudson- and Torres-type who can pitch 3-4 innings, Aquino is a 1-2 inning guy like Santos, so being an innings eater doesn't have an affect.
  8. I don't think I have ever seen a spring training where the main Sox pitchers (the guys who will break camp in the big leagues) have pitched so well. The entire rotation is looking solid, especially Floyd/Peavy. The bullpen looks great except for Jenks and Liney. But even Liney is starting to look better. Very excited for April.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 11:34 PM) I'm fairly chalk. Villanova Kentucky Kansas Syracuse Kentucky Kansas Kentucky Exact same except KU over UK.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 16, 2010 -> 09:47 AM) Ran my first ever half marathon Saturday in Vegas. Finished just under 2:05, which is way better than I thought I would. Probably could have had a better time too, but miles 9-11 were mostly all uphill, which was killer late in the race. Three days later my legs are still sore as can be, so still not thinking about what future races I might do. One thing I do know is that I could never do a full marathon. After this half was over, I couldn't imagine running another 13 miles at that point. Ah, don't say that. I have run multiple half-marathons and two full marathons. First, once you legs feel normal and you start running again, you'll be back to good thinking you can run all the time again. Second, the pace you would run your full marathon is likely two minutes per mile slower, if not a little more. It's normal to say that right after a race, I do all the time haha. In a week, you'll start thinking about the next race. CONGRATS THOUGH!!
  11. Is it gonna be Hawk/Stoney on MLBTV too?

When you guys talk about your body fat % how are you getting these results? I am curious as to mine, but I don't necessary want to buy a expensive scale.
  13. Illinois had way too many chances to make this tournament but threw them away early in the season. No complaints from me, a die-hard Illini fan.
  14. I def. think Illinois is a better team than Minnesota, but while saying that, there is no way Illinois should be in the tournament over them because they beat Illinois in Champaign. If that makes sense.
  15. FWIW, the writer is a Chicago Tribune writer (or was).
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 12:12 PM) Hmm, learned something new there. I did not know with a 5 on 3 situation, if the first penalty was a major, and a goal gets scored, the second penalty comes off of the board. That's because major penalties don't dissolve when a goal is scored.
  17. Notwithstanding that cheap shot on Soup, I love Ovechkin and am pissed he's out. I wanted to watch him play this game.
  18. If the CF camera continues to shake like it has, I will throw-up if they keep using it.
  19. Still don't think Illinois makes it to that dance even after a strong effort. I dont know what the most losses to make the field as an at-large team is, but Illinois would have to be it with 14 losses.
  20. Evan Turner = Scottie Pippen Part 2. They are so similar.
  21. Epic choke job. Sheesh.
  22. Even as big an Illini fan as I am, I will go on record saying this team will not make the tournament, assuming they lose. And nor do I think it should.
  23. Huet playing dirty today. Good to see.
  24. If Demetri McCamey had Jeff Jordan's ball handling skills, I would be thrilled.
  25. Ohio state playing awful, but only down by five. Not good for Illini. I am not convinced Illinois is in yet, we need today. I dont have confidence in Illinois being able to put two good halfs together against OSU. They got too much talent and shooting for Illinois to hold them down all day.
