  2. Tiger never got the deserved dap for this. He's 3 behind the leaders at this weekend's Buick and has yet to tee off today.

  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 08:35 AM) Which is pretty ironic considering this is the lead story in the CHICAGO TRIBUNE sports page... Funny, if I am trying to keep someone down, I sure don't run the LEAD STORY on how much people love them. But maybe I don't know how to keep the man down or something.
  5. Fort Wayne's going to be in a story on the Daily Show tonight. My friend's family owns a roller rink, and that's where it takes place. They'll be spoofing Indiana having the most terror targets in the nation.
  6. I've been into Jump, Little Children of late.
  7. Here's the video: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?s=...t&p=1237541
  8. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) I still think hed be 1st ballot if he retired today also. He opened up the opportunity for japanese players to try their skills in the mlb. ex. Gooch, Matsui, Shingo..... Hideo Nomo.
  9. Good to hear the original tandem back. I like the comments on Ozzie, right around the time Gage knocks his headset off. It's an interesting viewpoint, that's never really looked at or anything, since we're always 1 or 2 in the standings. I'll agree with your sentiments though. And I hope Sandy doesn't want to play anymore after the season. I've always said I wanted Sandy to be a Sox coach, and having him here now is putting us in a good spot for that. I agree with Mario on us needing to get more aggressive again and to start to do the little things again. It seems like we've abandoned all things "Ozzieball" this year. Solid show guys, and I'm definitely ready for the last sites you plugged.
  10. That was a solid week of baseball for the Sox. They won all their games against Cleveland and Detroit in the 8th inning or later. That was very impressive, and it’s good to see the never-say-die attitude getting into the 2006 edition of the Sox. I like the idea of LaTroy Hawkins a lot too. I don’t see the pressure being on him in a place like this, and Coop can’t hurt him at all. I’m partial to the guy, because he played A ball in Fort Wayne. And another tidbit along that line, AJ has caught Hawkins in the minors and in the majors (all in the Minnesota organization), when he was extremely solid. As you well know, I’m very happy that Ozzie has finally given BA the nod as the CF and stating he’s not going anywhere. His glove is just so damn valuable, and that’s much more important to any offense he can give us. And his bat will come around a bit before the season’s over, looking at his history. He’s done some solid stuff since he’s been given the vote of confidence. Two great nights at the dish on consecutive nights, and he’s still making all kinds of plays with the glove. I don’t disagree with you at all about the PK/Thome debate. There’s just too much injury risk to see Thome starting games in the field in the NL parks. Thome’s streaky and I don’t see him being too affected by not being able to get 3-4 AB’s every game. Frank and Jurassic were able to get AB’s in those series last year without starting, and they were fine. The Frank dap. Solid show guys; I’ll still be listening despite my lack of comments the next few weeks.
  11. http://www.soxtalk.com/frontpage/html/modu...rveys&pollID=16 Saw this on CSN, and I thought it'd make for some good discussion. Make your vote [http://www.soxtalk.com/frontpage/html/modules.php?name=Surveys&pollID=16]HERE[/url], and debate your choice here.
  12. Great start to the road trip! The Count looked damn impressive, and the offense was good 1-9.
  13. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 06:23 PM) You could've put something like (not the 3B) in the title to avoid confusion. I'm sure I'm not the first or last to get worried when reading the thread title. Read the subtitle....
  14. I want Sportscenter to revert back to how it was covered/shown 10 years ago.
  15. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 04:14 PM) Pretty bad skull fracture (3rd hand from co-workers brother) and talk that he might require a plate. If he needs a plate... I can't imagine being cleared to play football ever again. Wow. :headshake
  16. You should have probably cropped out Thome's bat....
  17. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) BTW, did anyone see the write up about the new stadium for the Fire. They have blue seats, and the reason for the blue was supposedly withblue seats, if its not full, it won't look as empty on television. I love blue seats. I don't get that. Seats are going to look empty, regardless the color.
  18. He doesn't deserve much sympathy. This scenarios gone bad way too many times; you'd figure you'd learn by now.
  19. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) What's so hard about turning your neck again? My god, lets complain about everything. Mexcellent sig.
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 12:08 PM) No, they are not. I watched Poland/Ecuador in a German broadcast and they didn't mention Germany once. I watched England/Paraguay in a Serbian broadcast and they didn't mention Serbia once. I watched Serbia/Netherlands in a Spanish broadcast and they only mentioned Mexico once. And it was during halftime. 1-0 Czech Republic on the header by Koller. Keep it on those channels then. You have a way to avoid your problem; there isn't reason to complain then.
  21. I've got a neck. I'm fine with the way they are. And the Sox didn't drag their feet with the seat change. They're doing it right, instead of rushing it and making it worse. They lost a month of construction time because the park was occupied in October for some reason.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 11:58 AM) Look, I have nothing to complain about when there are no games on, but like I said, when 2 teams that are not named USA are playing, is it necessary to talk about the US? I'm just sayin... They're doing the same things in China, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Mexico, and Serbia. Bash them too.
  23. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 11:47 AM) I was just in China for the last 2 weeks.... and they didnt even mention US soccer over there.... it was all asian countries and than it talked about Germany's team a lot. Exactly. Move if you don't want to hear coverage of the HOME country. Every place is doing the exact same thing for their respective country. You've got nothing to complain about.
