Iguchi's agent submits new proposal
QUOTE(hi8is @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) if that happens, i wont blam iguchi one bit... for a guy that has the kind of talent and potential he does... you put 6 mill on the line... i mean, s***... we gave borchard 5 million... borchard hasnt had anywhere near the success that iguchi has... i like the risk/reward factor and for a 3 mil per year loss (at most) you take it. Well you can't blame KW for that. If we sign Iguchi, I don't want to hear anything about KW not getting it done this time around. If we get him, KW's done absolutely everything he intended on doing this offseason.

Which newcomer will have the biggest impact?
Saw this on the Chisox.com front page. Interesting question to think about. I think El Duque will have the biggest impact, now that he's finally given us 5 respectable starters.

Iguchi's agent submits new proposal
This sounds closer to what we originally offered him. I think we can get him in a Sox uni pretty soon.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) And greasy, the .7 seconds thing was YOUR OWN TIMEKEEPERS FAULT. not the refs. I know this. My point was that IU's had a lot of things hurt them that they really had no control over.

The refs could have cost us the game on Saturday against Purdue. They admitted that call was wrong. Also, I want to see someone dribble, spin, and shoot in .7 seconds...and then we'll talk. Like 3E8 said, Illinois shouldn't have had it come down to that anyways, though it seems moot anymore. You're the #1 team at home.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) I can just see that blown call on the shot clock coming back and biting us in the ass. Man, that's basketball. The refs have bit IU in the ass so hard this year.

What was the Hawks best call of the year?
QUOTE(Bighurt52235 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) The July 8th comeback was Timo's 3-run single to right field. That one didn't make it to the fence. That was earlier in the game. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb

What was the Hawks best call of the year?
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 07:45 PM) The off the fence game was the 3 run single where Willie scored right? Yep, Cheat's favorite, Timo hit that.

What was the Hawks best call of the year?
QUOTE(Bighurt52235 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) Also, I don't recall, "That'll get it done" and "Way Back! Its off the wall". Can someone explain that to me please? The "Way Back! It's off the wall!" is the July 8th comeback game against the Angels. I was there. I think the "That'll get the job done" was from a Joe Crede SF walk-off.

Biggest Losers
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) Just look at the damn Bulls, everyone starts talking about em, including Dan Patrick calling them better than the T-Wolves on ESPN, and they lose to the f***ing Celtics. Let's hope noone pays any attention to the Soxl That's not why the Bulls lost. The media should have no effect on how the team plays.

Washington Nationals sign Esteban Loaiza
QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) lets remember the dogers have better pitchers and hed probably be a number three behind lowe and perez, nationals, lets see all they have is livan and ? no one else that comes to mind That's why it's funny he accepted this. He had a better offer on the table from a less desperate team when it comes to pitching. The Nationals appear to need pitching more and they didn't offer him as much, and he took it.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) Saluki's knock off Bradley at the SIU Arena. Stay perfect in MVC play at 6-0. And I am reminded as to why I hate Indiana. Michigan is way to inconsistent. 7 straight.

What was the Hawks best call of the year?
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 09:44 PM) I must have missed the Timo game. I don't even remember it. So I had to vote the "Joe Crede" call. I was at that game! However, I voted for COME ON TIMO!
