  1. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 04:08 PM) Yep, but their 9th, 10th, and 11th seed teams can still beat our 5th, 6th, and 7th seed teams. That's where I look first and foremost if we're talking about conference strength. We could answer the Spurs and whoever else right now with the Pistons and the pre-brawl Pacers, but when you look at overall depth, there's no question that they have a good 2/3 or at the very least 3/5 of the quality players in this league. Agreed, but like you pointed out in your previous post, it seems to be coming closer to even. The stars in the West are getting older, and the East has really improved with a lot of young upcomers.
  2. I know it's about the same time the Bulls were dismantled, but when Shaq went West, so did the shift in power. Shaq's back in the East now.
  3. I feel bad for the 'Stros. This probably ends any chance of Roger Clemens coming back. We'll see.
  4. QUOTE(Scwible @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) definately good news. I think he was the only Arb. eligible player left. Yep. He was the last one. I
  5. QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 11:18 AM) But the striped clown pants have GOT to go. Yikes. The candy striped pants own! This was our midnight madness shirt this year.
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 09:44 AM) I gotta say, as a baseball purist, I love the idea, and I with the Sox would revisit it. Agreed. That's something I like about the IU jerseys. That would be a cool thing to go back to now. Especially since everything is going retro.
  7. #11 Texas beats #5 OSU at home 75-61…..40 wins in their last 41 home games...
  8. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) My High School colors were blue and gold, maybe I'll wear both. You would've loved my high school. Our main color was green.
  9. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) If you have the DVD -- watch the scene about the fries in the extra scenes. Its so disturbing. I may have to rent it, to check out a couple of these things. I just saw it on the campus movie channel. What happened in that fry scene?
  10. QUOTE(chisoxgrl @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) Hi there, I am new to this board, but I was reading the last few posts. I too was at Sox Fest and in the bar, I'm of age The guys that were in there were totally nice the entire time. I was able to talk to Joe Crede and Aaron Rowand. Aaron was hilarious! He is a total ham! I was very impressed for I have an 11 year old daughter that was eager to meet anyone she could. Joe signed her hat for her, and one of the ladies saw me pointing out Aaron to her. We started to walk away and she called to me to bring her up the stairs where he was. He signed her hat and gave her a big hug and introduced her to the people around him. I was very impressed. Scott Posednik came into the lobby and was signing for everyone whatever they had. Willie Harris was a bit hammered, but he too was signing and talking to people. Carl Everett was there Friday and Saturday and was very socialable also. They even remembered us the next day when we saw them. This was an awesome weekend. It was really all about us, the fans. There is much more I have to tell, but I thought I'd share a little! Nice story. Welcome to the board!
  11. Wow, I just saw 'Supersize Me.' What an insane movie. I don't eat fast food often at all, maybe once a month. I don't think I want to eat it at all anymore. However, I am stuck with this campus meal plan, which probably isn't much better.
  12. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) Here you go. Use it if you like. Let me know if you want any changes. . That's pretty sweet Tex! You've done yourself good.
  13. I echo everyone else. As long as it's for a good cause, good for them.
  14. QUOTE(Jake @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) i think we got the message the first time I don't know if that was his fault. Board's tripping out a bit tonight.
  15. That's scary stuff. I hope JR gets well soon.
  16. That's pretty classy of you Beastly. The link in your orignal e-mail is unavailable. Just curious, what was the story behind it?
  17. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 05:52 PM) you made an error on the results, first round i had one and this round i picked three correct teams, so i should have four picked: philly - won NE - won Pitt - won Stl - lost That was the results of this weekend only.
  18. I just caught the last few seconds. That was f***ing tight. Pippen's reaction!
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) i know he was suspended for the entire season..... but is he gone for the post season too... if he is still suspended for the post season are the pacers really that much better than us too? Stephen Jackson will be back in a week, and Artest is done for the entire 2004-2005 season.
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) If Jackson attempted to hit Hunter, Torrii probably would have hit a homerun I won't miss that guy. Cotts would have had some sick numbers if it weren't for MJ.
  21. I read this article this morning. This was really refreshing for a change after the soap opera we had to go through last season. It'll be nice to get something done with him so we can see Kong on the south side for a few more years.
  22. QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 12:13 PM) all the games are really slow and choppy for me They're working just fine then. That's regular nintendo man.
