  2. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 08:55 AM) There is a networking ad that shows a flood of water, at least when I viewed the page. Yeah, that's what I was talking about.
  3. QUOTE(farmteam @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 03:40 PM) 4-star safety Jerimy Finch and 3-star DT Jeff Boyd, both of Warren Central, commited to Indiana yesterday. Finch used to be commited to Michigan. Will this have a big impact on their program, or will it not mean much? I'm pretty psyched and shocked about the commitments. I knew they were visiting this weekend, but I didn't expect much out of it, let alone a decision that fast. IU doesn't have a glowing football history, and this is a great start to building something. Coach Hep's improved the team the past two years, and with a favorable schedule I'm fairly confident the Hoosiers can be bowling this upcoming season. Things are definitely heading in the right direction.
  4. QUOTE(greg775 @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 03:18 PM) My question to you is then ... if these players like Dye, Crede, Mark are not good enough to sign, why will other teams be lining up to sign them on their terms? If fiscal responsibility means getting rid of all the cogs of a world championship team and offending its fanbase in the process for what will certainly be downgrades at many positions, so be it. To you who blast me and others for bagging on Jerry for not spending money to keep our heroes ... who do you envision being our next Buehrle, our next Dye, our next Crede, our next Freddie, our next Contreras? You are counting on these guys Kenny is stockpiling to pan out and likely downgrades with Dye and Crede. and my position isn't as absurd as some of you make it out to be. My position is the one I've read by Couch and Morrissey in the Trib and Sun Times others are baffled as well. It's not like I am some complete moron who has watched no baseball in his lifetime. I've followed this team and baseball like the rest of you. The Sox should not spend ~$200M to keep 3 guys on the team for another 10 years. You only have a legit point if one team signs Dye, Crede, and Mark all to current market deals. And that'll never happen, because no team is that dumb.
  5. Perfect, perfect news: http://www.broadcastingcable.com/index.asp...cleID=CA6407312 Scrubs is a near lock for a seventh and final season, and the best news about this is the final line of this article:
  6. New coaches poll: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/men...ll/usatpoll.htm Wiscy's #3, with two first place votes.
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 12:57 PM) I guess we have no chance, because we've never ever beaten New England, much less in Indy. Our offense will likely stay down for a third game, and our defense can in no way contain a Tom Brady that looked like s*** against SD. I'm very happy that NE got the W yesterday, getting the Colts another home game. I cannot wait to hear the hype train behind Sunday's game all week, because I love playing New England. I didn't think the Colts had a prayer against SD. I don't think it's even close to being a guarantee that the Colts can get the W on Sunday (in fact, I hope we're the underdogs for another week). Even though it was ugly, the Pats had to play one hell of a game to get past SD. I think it's going to be a very close game, and both sides have a fair shot at getting the W. Also, I've said this a couple times, there's no better way for the Colts to earn a spot in the Super Bowl, than by having to get past their rival/kryptonite, the Pats. And BTW f*** anyone that says the Colts are overrated, after Sunday. The Pats are a damn good team, winner of 3 of the last 5 Super Bowls. And nobody had the Colts stopping LJ or getting past Baltimore's D.
  8. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 01:00 PM) Colt Brennan declared today, but may withdraw within the 72 hour window. Guess he hasn't made up his mind completely. I am assuming today was the deadline to declare? I believe so. I think it has to be by 4 PM today.
  9. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 12:49 PM) This is really OT, but has anyone ever talked about giving like an UnEarned INT to a QB, like with that happened with Rex yesterday. It was a good throw, Moose juggled it, and it went right into a Seahawks arms. Really had nothing to do with Rex. Is that just a horrible idea? or am I on to something here... Meh, I agree with you that Rex doesn't deserve that INT in his stats, but I simply don't see that being worth it. Numbers can matter in the NFL, but it's no where close to where they are in baseball. So I never see it being debated.
  10. My favorite random ESPN show is Madden Nation. I haven't seen any episodes of this second season (I need to find a random marathon or something), but I randomly saw the first season in the middle of the night this last year.
  11. I just saw this. What a great story. I say ESPN has one of those mock trials to figure out who created it (like what they did for Pete Rose and the HOF). I don't think I will be able to rest easy, until we honestly know who created the wave.
  12. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 11:26 AM) HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN I WATCHED IT RELIGIOUSLY AND TIVOED IT WHENEVER I COULDNT bad new greasy, he apparently will still work with espn and probably be on all their NBA coverage full time now Damn, you're right. I was under the impression that he was done after reading this. However, this article says otherwise:
  13. STEPHEN A. SMITH is no longer an employee of ESPN, as Quite Frankly was cancelled. CHEESE DOODLES
  14. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 02:41 AM) Has a 3-seed or lower ever hosted a conference championship game? Not a clue, but it's the first time the AFC Championship has been in a dome.
  15. WH and I were talking about this during the game, the Chargers lost this game when they stopped going to LT. He was having no problem running through their D. But thank you for not doing so. The Colts get New England at home next week.
  16. That was clutch to get a score going into the half. 14-10 Chargers. I feel so dirty rooting for NE, but I must.
  17. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 08:46 PM) Tara Reid anyone? I think she may not have been mentioned because I think everyone is unanimous on her awfulness. But if that's what she looks like now, she's gotten even scarier/worse.
  18. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 08:06 PM) OVER RATED... I'm surprised Indy's gotten this far, because I definitely wasn't expecting much with the way they closed the season. But we know Mr. Eat s*** will be like a vulture if they lose.
  19. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 07:44 PM) Yeah, your team has two more wins before they can be champions, only halfway there. I'm not talking about the championship. I'm just saying I want the Colts to have to beat New England in the playoffs before they win a Super Bowl. Regardless, Indy's going to have a ridiculous time winning next week. Keep this up D.
  20. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 07:38 PM) I hope it's the Patriots. Me too. As I want the Colts to have to beat their nemesis on the way to the Super Bowl (if they ever get there), plus Indy's at home if New England wins tomorrow.
  21. Hahahah f*** yes!!! Indy's defense was f***ing money all day. Peyton owes this team a game next week, because he's tried to give away two. If you told Baltimore that they were going to hold Indy to 15 points, they would've been thinking about plans for the AFC Championship. Insane. And I love Vinateiri; that was such a huge get for us this offseason.
  22. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 04:11 PM) Most overrated? They have had good wins. They'll be top 25 throughout the year IMO. Their conference wins are legit, but their best non-conferences wins are against South Carolina and Georgia, who are both struggling early in SEC conference play.
