What are people's thoughts on DJ and next year? He's averaging 14.2 points and 7.3 boards on the season (not blow away numbers I know). It's weird, I just averaged his conference totals, and they're right on par with that (14.9 and 7.4). It just seems like he's playing a lot better with each game, maybe it has something to do with the competition. He's not on the board for this year or next on NBA Draft sites; however, I know he really wants to go. I wonder if he'd go, regardless when he got pick, or if he'd like to be as close to the top as possible. I'm kind of nervous about it right now. I'd really love to see him play with EJ, as that could make for a scary tandem. I guess it basically comes down to how IU and he does come March. Does anyone have any reassuring or not so reassuring thoughts?

Oh yeah? That's so weird, because I heard a similar story from Bridgeport.... This morning a Bridgeport, Illinois kindergarten teacher explains to her class that she is an Chicago Bears fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they are Bears fans, too. Not really knowing what a Bears fan was, but wanting to be liked by their teacher, their hands flew into the air. There is, however, one exception. Susie has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. "Because I'm not a Bears fan" she reports. "Then," asks the teacher, "what are you?" "I'm an Indianapolis Colts fan," boasts the little girl. The teacher asks Susie why she is a Colts fan. "Well, my Dad and Mom are Bears fans, so I'm a Colts fan, too" she responds. "That's no reason," the teacher says. "What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was an idiot. What would you be then?" Susie smiles and says, "Then I'd be a Bears fan." Go Colts!!!

This is another content-less hunch, but I have a pretty good feeling about the 2007 season. Last year, I felt the exact opposite, despite the moves we made.

Yeah, this guy's weird. I loved his numbers as a junior, averaged a triple double with points, boards, and blocks. He's 6-11 with a 7-7 wing span, but I didn't find out that he wasn't going to play this season until after he signed his LOI. And then this story was in the IDS this morning; sketchy stuff.
