  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 11, 2008 -> 05:40 PM) He's no Sex Cannon.' I like your style... Rexy/Murcie/Heads 4eva
  2. Nice to see that the WhiteSox are at #1, despite playing bad baseball we found a way to take 2/3 from KC... its always nice to see the team win despite not playing at their best. Lets hope we find some consistency going into Tejas, thats right i just went espanola on your cuello.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 11, 2008 -> 06:15 PM) Does Jorge De La Rosa ring a bell to you? The White Sox can hit anybody if they feature a fastball and a bad/no change up. However, we can't hit anybody with a good straight change or an effective off-speed pitch. The De LaRosa game was the most frustrating game of the season for me thus far.... ugh.
  4. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jul 11, 2008 -> 05:48 PM) You and I both know that ERA is a little misleading. He gave up 26 R (16 ER). I can understand bad defense and fully agree those weren't all his fault but at some point you have to pitch over some errors. It was a decent month but nothing like April and May where he looked like an All-Star pitcher. I do think he might be our best pitcher. I'll concede that this wasn't his best month, but to say that he was iffy? He was above average, and the team won 5 of the 6 games he started... Nolan Ryan he's not, but Gavin Floyd has proved to me that he can pitch, and win in the major leagues.
  5. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jul 11, 2008 -> 04:54 PM) 2 of our starters suck right now. Gavin has been a little iffy for the last month until his start against Oakland, which is just a pathetic hitting team. Reality June Monthly Totals : 4-1 W/L 3.86 ERA 35 K 10 BB 35 H 37.1 IP I would imagine a lot of teams would love to have an iffy starter like Gavin Floyd was in the month before his last start.
  6. If Favre goes to the Vikings, yikes... that team would have to be considered the favorite to win the division and probably the conference. That defense is going to be tough, and the offense is talented outside of Tavaris Jackson. Favre to Berrian would be annoying to hear, oh well lets hope he goes to the AFC and we don't have to bother with him
  7. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 12:10 AM) Yep and anything less than a WS appearance would be a complete failure. Ditto that, no excuses now.... better win the pennant or pass around the poison kool-aid.
  8. good call on the pin.
  9. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 06:37 PM) Good thing Wise looks just like Wee Willie!!!! Perhaps but his pimp hand is not nearly as strong
  10. Bon Voyage Petey Pablo, Group 4 is now completely gone (Harris, Widge, Blum, and Ozuna)
  11. We are one of the most creative teams in the league... I dont see other teams finding ways to provide extra outs for the other team and to not bring runners home from 3rd with less than 2outs.
  12. Crede doing his best Paul Konerko impression.

  14. Thats gotta feel awesome for Berry, whom I think only represented MB? (correct me if im wrong). To go from 1 big time client to three pretty clients in-line for some nice dough? Not Bad. Taking them away from Boras? Priceless.
  15. Raffy Palmiero's son was drafted by the Pirates.... should be fun for him to play under the shadow of his father.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 7, 2008 -> 09:49 PM) O La La! I'd hit it.
  17. Swish looks more comfortable at the plate. Nick got good wood in his previous at-bat, but flew out to Crawford... I bet in a week or two that ball leaves the park.
  18. Nice defense by Swish, kept him at 2nd.
  19. You gotta feel for Paulie, you know he wants to break out of this slump in the worst way... probably only compounding his problems.
  20. QUOTE (tommy @ May 29, 2008 -> 06:02 PM) I love the way Johnny is pitching. Jonny? Jonnie? hmmm how do you make Jon into an "y" name?
  21. Doug Collins is a GREAT choice, especially for a team very much in-flux. I think DC has shades of Scott Skiles to him, but is probably a better communicator. He should bring back the Jerry curl he was sporting back in the 80's. Edit: I think it says something that MJ chose Collins to coach the Wiz during his 8th comeback... obviously some respect there. Something to consider, even though things didn't go so well.
  22. I'm going to look through my admin contract and see if there are any incentives tied towards softball related activities. If there is a free shirt/hot dog involved... i'd have to consider it.
  23. Rogers Park, lots of cubbie blue 'round these parts.
