  1. I agree, Gavin should be throwing borderline BP and keeping his pitch count down
  2. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:56 PM) very true. but if there is a pitcher they could do it against, it's boof bonser. Yeah, I noticed his ERA is over 6.00 now
  3. Boof is in for the Twins (not the chick from Teen Wolf)
  4. Sweet!! Hopefully Thome isn't too badly hurt, although I'm dreading one of those moments where the last out is made and Hawk reads a press release saying Thome tore a hamstring. We may just need some JR contribution.
  5. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:42 PM) I've also read he isnt using his fastball nearly as much as he did a couple years ago. With his current pitch count, Oakland will probably have 4 innings of the Twinkies pen. Is their pen, outside of Nathan, still having issues?
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:35 PM) Twins still up 2-1, top of the 5th, but Liriano has 87 pitches already through 4...with the way that bullpen has been other than Reyes & Nathan, hope we can get the lead to two games before that long Twins road trip Anyone hear a scouting report on Lirano this year? One of the ESPN "experts" said he still is effective, but you can't confuse his stuff with what he had 2 years ago.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:30 PM) You know, I'd imagine this is one of those games where we ought to tip our hats to Greg Walker for having the team prepped to face a pitcher throwing stuff they haven't seen much. Dickey doesn't exactly have great numbers, but his ERA has shot up by a half a run this inning. You're right, I was one of the people calling for his firing early in the year and the offense has looked a lot better.
  8. Awesome! Good to see the Sox smack around a bad pitcher, they've been a lot better at that this year
  9. OK, actually have it on a computer PBP that is right, I shall now step off the short bus
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:24 PM) Cabrera Pierzynski God Griffey Konerko Swisher Ramirez Wise Uribe Dye with a day off, Thome a late scratch Thanks, hopefully it's nothing serious for JT
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:22 PM) Thome = Griffey. I have it on gamecast, they have Thome up there, what's the lineup?
  12. lol, oops, should follow closer, 1st and 3rd, no out, O-Cab scored on passed ball
  13. Good job Gavin. 2 on nobody out and scoreless after top of 1
  14. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 12:40 PM) Jabroni was here in the beginning of '05, I remember the sig he made from some Sega video game commanding Dye to rise from the dead. That game would be Altered Beast
  15. I think it would be a big pain in the ass, but if it drastically improved public transportation, it might be worth it.
  16. Chris Berman, he is hackey and I am so glad, if rumors are true, that The Masters told him to stick it.
  17. Maybe the guys that were messin' with him and eating beef jerkey went too far.
  18. QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 09:12 PM) I'll feel bad for Kongo if he's fed to Lesnar next. Lesnar is going to kill him. It's a logical next step for Lesnar though. He needs to fight a good striker to see how he reacts to being hit. Hearing is an OK striker, but he didn't get the chance to hit him. Obviously it will be hard to stop Brock's breakdowns, but Kongo is an interesting matchup for him
  19. Well the Vulture is in, so does he have to give up 8 runs and then the Sox go on to win the game?
