  1. OK, am I alone in thinking Giambi is back on the stuff, either he got good s*** that doesn't show up or he's just dumb and rolling the dice? His face looks awful puffy
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) Is there anyone here who hasn't been waiting all year for Uribe to hit a hot streak like he did early last year? I know I have been, that's why I haven't been to hard on him. He had a couple of streaks last year where he carried that team for a week with his bat
  3. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) Isn't it obvious that Uribe is worthless? eh, his style of running is worth comedy value
  4. pop out to the catcher I think for Widger, and a K for Uribe
  5. Atleast last year with Uribe you could hope he would connect here, but he has sucked at the plate except for like one week this year. His AB's on Monday were sad
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:31 AM) Some good camera work there. 1 down. maybe another fan jumped onto the camera
  7. Got to love Farmer arguing with the official scorer
  8. Matsui fly out to pods... all in all, for Freedy that was OK for a first inning
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) come on, first inning Freddy strikes again 10 of his last 14 starts he's allowed a run, for a total of 16... thanks Rooney
  10. OK, Freddy STRIKES!!!!! (Unless the ball is at Jeeters head)
  11. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Small throws 23 pitches despite dumbass shiny face swinging 1st pitch. boy, it's hard for me to determine who I like ripping on more, Timo or Pablo.... if forced I'm going with Pablo...
  12. come on Aaron... I can't remember when the last time Sox got a clutch 2 out hit yes it said "come one aaron" before the edit... I'm not lucid today!!
  13. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) I love Pablo! Great job working the count... yeah, I really hope Pablo or Timo is sent packing and Borchard or Anderson is given a chance... at least Borchard will work the count for three strikes
  14. I know Small has been pitching well, but not familiar... anyone have a basic scouting report on him?
  15. s***, Freddy's first inning or two is HUGE. Even in the games where he escaped trouble early he had people on base, I'm just worried that A-Rod and friends won't let him off so easily
  16. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 10:43 AM) Did you guys just hear Bruce interviewing Griffey? Yeah, stirring s*** up again... looking at it positively, it seems that the Reds might have told Griffey they put him on waivers and if he cleared they're going to try and move him. Still didn't sound 100% he would waive his rights
  17. would love to see this. It wouldn't suprise me one bit. I thought any realistic steroid testing program had a chance to make MLB look like an absolute joke
  18. OK, FWIW Bruce was just on the pregame and had tape of Griffey now saying he loves Chicago, and if the Reds GM works something out he is willing to listen. This is not earthshattering, so I'm not starting a new thread like GRIFFEY LOVES CHICAGO!!! similar to how the Cubune does it when their reporters ask a potential FA if they would want to play for the Cubs and they say something like 'Yeah, Chicago is a good place...' next days headline (using Damon from this year as the most recent example) DAMON WANTS TO PLAY IN CHICAGO
  19. This is a Mariotti trick IMO. He builds people up then when they fail he slams them. I believe he did this last year right before the Twins kicked the s*** out of the Sox, then after he ripped Manuel to shreds after building him up
  20. I really think they need to give one of the minor league outfielders a chance, Timo is not cutting it. Obvious choices are Borchard or Anderson. At this point I would rather see Borchard. It's make or break time for him. It's crucial we get one or both on the roster before Sep. 1 so if necessary they can be eligible for the playoffs.
  21. QUOTE(IndplsSoxFan @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 05:49 PM) I heard on BBTN today that the Mets were expected to put Mike Piazza through waivers in the near future. Do you think the Sox would have any interest in him (instead of Griffey Jr.?) If his contract is up this year then yeah, I wouldn't mind the Sox bringing him in for a DH role he may be down this year, but he still has over 13 HR's and over 50 RBI
  22. Anyone know Rutuu's health status? I know one of my professors who had season tickets and knew some people in the organization said his shoulder surgery was really botched, and if it wasn't for the lockout he would have missed some time last year. Any updates on how he is doing? Did he play in any of the European leagues?
