White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
Didn't the Arizona fall league Floyd have a crappy ERA with a home run rate higher than McCarthy, whose home run rate was supposedly so bad we just had to get rid of him?

Luis Castillo traded to Mets
Did KW set the market? If the Sox got more, or a better player for Iguchi do you think the Twins would still receive the same package?

Iguchi Traded to Phillies for RP/SP Michael Dubee
Iguchi had a solid June and has had a great OBP since the All-Star Break. No surprise to see him doing well with the Phills.

I wouldn't put it past the sox to sign up to three current Phillies free agents to be this upcoming offseason.

Teixeira deal done
I wouldn't want to deal with Atlanta with their prospects. Ask Beane how his sack of peanuts for Tim Hudson is working out for him. Andy Marte had more hype than Saltalamacchia (refuse to call him "Salty) and he's in his third organization doing nothing right now. John Schuerholz pitys no man.

Possible 3-way deal?
According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the Brewers were the third team in the rumored Jermaine Dye deal between the White Sox and Red Sox. If they couldn't get one of Boston's elite prospects, the White Sox wanted Hideki Okajima from the Red Sox. That wasn't going to work, so Boston may have been trying to get Derrick Turnbow from Milwaukee for Chicago. The proposed deal ended up falling through last week, and it's unclear whether there's any chance of it being revisited.

Pods needs to be sent to a proctologist to get his head examined.

Iguchi Traded to Phillies for RP/SP Michael Dubee
He's been much better since the ASB. How many teams can pull up a second baseman with a .381 OBP? Even in June he had a line of 309 .368 .454 .822

Barry Lamar Bonds
It wasn't as far as the 480 foot shot off your boy Garland.

Iguchi Traded to Phillies for RP/SP Michael Dubee
Interesting that his name is brought up. KW trades three players, one of which was out first round pick from the previous year for an over the hill, older, Roberto Alomar. KW accepts one A ball 21 year old for a solid second baseman who is in the middle of his prime (age wise.) Tadahito also had better numbers this year with the Sox than Alomar did with the Mets. This trade reminds me a lot of the Durham-Adkins trade except the Sox knew they weren't getting compensation.

This trade reminds me of Adkins-Durham. Hopefully Philly is taking on all of the salary.

Iguchi Traded to Phillies for RP/SP Michael Dubee
I'm pretty sure his contract was like Contreras and Matsui'sm where they had to be signed by November 15th and could not be offered arbitration.

but, but, but Ozzie said there would be no trades. OK, Philly is pushing for the playoffs and their star second baseman just went down. They had to give up something good for our solid second baseman, right? I'm hoping it's not another Gavin Floyd. Where's Richar?

Official Love for the Milwaukee Brewers Thread
Flub fans thought the same thing after we won and they ended up in last place. ARe you even a Sox fan these days, or just an anti-Cub fan?

Classic video game memories
Just what is that? It's certainly not the Konami code.

Classic video game memories
Beating Mega Man 3 and leaving a message on my friend's answering machine. Using Game Genie and playing the hardest setting of Super Smash TV with my brother. My God did that go on for hours.

BP's very short take on Gio Gonzalez
...and in that same article they thought the bullpen would be great.

Why do you still watch the Sox?
Maybe your Brew Crew will win it because they have Craig Counsell.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 7/25/07 (L)
I hate the idea of getting Jack Wilson, but that makes some sense finanically. Kick Uribe to the curb and not spend his $5 million on garage free agents and arbitration eligible players.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 7/25/07 (L)
Not just for Thome, but isn't it weird how left handed batters just crumble into a little corner when a garbage lefty comes in? It's one of the weirdest aspects of baseball.

Why do you still watch the Sox?
Well since you apparently know who's going to win the world series, how about spilling the beans for the rest of us?

White Sox vs. Tigers, 7/25/07 (L)
No, we don't. If management can't figure out we're out of it right now, then they don't deserve any more hints.

Just make Contreras a reliever like they originally wanted.
