QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 28, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, we are not. This seriously has to be an act. I read the Blow Sox are shopping David Wells. I guess the White Sox should move Buehrle and others who have cleared waivers to join the selling market?

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can someone find me a list of players who have put together hit streaks of thirty or better? Willy Taveras just got to #30. Is he the worst player ever to have a hit streak of hit streak of 30 or better? I mean, it's pretty pathetic -- even with thirty straight games with hits, the guy is still only putting up a line of .284/.335/.345. Freakin' Scott Podsednik is doing better then that. I still can't believe some people were willing to trade Jose Contreras for a package centered around him and Brad Lidge... Hell it wasn't even Brad Lidge. It was Wheeler or Qualls. where is WCSox and his hundreds of rolly eyes smilies?

Don't buy books from bookstores. You can get them cheaper on ebay, amazon or your friends. I bought my friend a 12 pack one semester to use a book he purchased, and I still didn't use the damn thing. If someone has 2 or more classes with you, become his/her friend. Guys in college like to talk about: sports, girls, beer, and poker. That's about it.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 03:08 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh, there is no correlation. The point is just that Widger got blamed a crap load for stuff he really shouldn't have been blamed for. He was not good, but he certainly wasn't deserving of getting blamed for every crappy outing our starters had with him behind the plate. Chris Widger deserved all of the blame for his hitting, his throwing, and his lack of defense. He deserved his share of blame for our starters struggling and base runners steal at will on him. I certainly don't recall anyone saying Widger was responsible for all of the team's lack of success.

I wish the Twins would bring in Neal Cotts.

I'm sorry, but would someone please remind me which pitcher went 8 or 9 innings against Santana in a 1-1 duel last September?
-
I wonder what an extra day off for each one of our pitchers would do. You know, have McCarthy be the 6th starter.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 06:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tony what I'm saying is Anderson sucks, also. We would have been a much better team with the same pieces of last year. All the additions have been s***. McDougal, Riske, Mack, the list goes on. Rowand sucks this year too, and he's in the NL. MacDougal has been very good in his stint with the Sox with the exception of last night. Riske has been much better than Cliff Politte and Dustin Hermanson this season, you know, two guys that were "pieces" last season. Mack > Timo, but I could've sworn Mack was not brought here to exclusively play CF. It's really pissing me off.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If he's getting called up, does this mean Thome is being DL'ed? God I hope not. Keep us updated Minorsfan. Weren't you the first to Haeger starting against the Angels?

Sox currently have a 3 game winning streak on my birthday.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Contreras (even with recent struggles) > Loaiza My question is why didn't we do a better job of keeping Fabio Castro? Because he doesn't fit in the Sox's plans? My comment about Loaiza was a joke towards the people who are using one game to evaluate Chris Young, and the trade itself.

WHY OH WHY DID WE DUMP LOAIZA??? I LOVED THAT GUY!!!

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 08:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If Ozzie is the White Sox manager for the forseeable future, when does Broadway crack the Sox rotation assuming he keeps putting up good numbers? 2010? Oh I'm sure Lance could find one of Ozzie's relatives to get hitched to.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 08:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Flash has got to be happy with Broadway's showing tonight. NAh, he'll just counter with Garza's outing. BANK on it.

WHERE'S OUR TAYLOR LUMPSUM???

QUOTE(Allsox @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 08:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thought the same thing. Riske and/or Cotts could have sucked up those innings last night as that game was long over. What about that Brendan McCartney guy? I haven't heard about him in forever.

QUOTE(Allsox @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 08:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If the Sox lose this game, I wonder who Freddy's going to blame cuz it sure as hell isn't going to be himself. Even worse, what happens if we WIN this game?

So Pods actually found a way to strike out on only 2 strikes? QUOTE(SinkingShip06 @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i'm getting flashbacks of 2000 against seattle Go away

f***ing Ozzie. On the radio they were talking how Guillen was "waiting" for Casey so he could bring in Thornton. Why not bring in Matt to turn Carlos Guillen around? Freddy's line gets worse, and Thornton may have lost some confidence after giving up those two runs, Thank you Crede.

Monroe has killed Freddy this season.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 07:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The worst player on the cubs just got a hit and stole a base on Freddy Maddux. Strained Left Hammy according to DJ. Oh please. AJ couldn't do anything with that ball. Triple clutched it for God's sake.

QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 07:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pods-bashing, Pods-bashing, Go Go Pods-bashing. Do your best to defend him. We're hungry tonight.

Seriously, Pods couldn't have bunted to second?
