  1. Just using logic the pitcher had 5.2 innings under his belt so his ERA wouldn't be an even 3.00, 4.50 or 6.
  2. 9/10. Didn't get #3 and didn't want to guess. didn't bother to think about trade replacements, but I didn't want to guess. I didn't look at the ESPN article bu off the top of my head I came up with: Single reach on a dropped ball (error) reaching on a throwing error. Not sure if they are the same Force out Fielder's choice HBP Pinch running, replacing an injured player (think they are the same) dropped third strike Walk, inntenional walk (not sure if they count the same) sac fly (if the OF drops the ball it counts as sac fly and an error, but I'm not sure if it's separate from reaching on an error.) The Yankees had 3 sac flies in an inning a few years ago. An umpire calls a ball if a pitcher touches his tounge with his foot on the rubber. Brendan Donnelly was going berserk when getting it called on him a few years ago against the Sox. I think that's what you were trying to say.
  3. Great video, catchy music. Some of those moments are definately engraved in my head. The crossover on Bird, owning Manute Bol and Mutombo, the dunk on Ewing. I love the dunk on the missed FT. It's like time froze and Jordan was the only one active.
  4. I think Ozuna stole home when the pitcher made a pickoff attempt on the runner at first.
  5. Did anyone else see the highlights of Jayson Werth stealing 3 bases in an inning the other night?
  6. Jason Marquis seems to be finally getting back to mid-season form giving up 9 hits in 3.2 innings. Glendon Rusch "relieved" him by pitching up 2.2 innings giving up 12 hits.
  7. The Sox signed him to an extension way too early....oh wait. Seriously only $1000? Did he go all the way with him?
  8. Thought this was worth bumping based on his recent performances.
  9. Anyone want to buy a keychain? http://www.anthonyrobbinsfoundation.org/st...productid=16194
  10. Fox is a good man That's a tiny picture of him wearing a Sox hat and shaking hands with Esteban Loaiza in 2003.
  11. He crapped his pants in the playoffs ala Javy Vazquez, not John Danks. Aren't those the "intangibles?" It also helps that he was near the top in run support last season.
  12. He's the (currently) worst pitcher in the league.

    Films Thread

Just got done wasting my time with "My Son" starring Angelina Jolie. Man that movie was a mess. What about the costumes?
  14. Another Dismal performance tonight from Brent. He HAS to go when BA comes back
  15. Let's hold a fundraiser to help pay for this unjust penalty. That should capture some attention.
  16. Boy, you guys are way ahead of yahoo. Lillibridge is still 0-3 on my page.
  17. "newcomer Brent Lillibridge, whom general manager Ken Williams said has the ability to steal 40 bases in a season" lol
  18. Gavin just knows how to win. Maybe Danks should ask for some help.
  19. 1. I'd like to see Wise repeat that line in as many at-bats that Ryan Received 2. It was a whopping 9 point difference 3. Wise is a career journeyman player. Ryan is young and developing 4. OBP should not be weighted the same as SLG%. That's the 1 big flaw with OPS. Sweeney had a higher OBP by 57 points. 5. Accounting for ballpark differences, Ryan's OPS+ was 101 compared to Wise's 90 in limited at-bats. You just pulled a Lillibridge.
  20. AKA significantly better than Podsednik, Wise, Ramirez, Loserbridge and a little bit below Brian's breakout season.
  21. Why should he care? He received $16 million for 1 good season. That's ace money.
  22. Who said we had to keep them? I wouldn't have minded Sweeney for CF last year and we could use him right now.
  23. Who's responsible for acquiring Swisher in the first place? But I think Ozzie has some blame because he ultimately controls the lineup and did not want Cabrera or Swisher back for the 2009 season.
  24. He didn't try to get less for him, he sold low. He was in Ozzie's doghouse and he wanted him out of here. If the Sox didn't sell low and/or get ripped off for Swisher than they WAY overpaid for Swisher than initially thought. Swisher was a prime candidate to bounce back to his normal numbers which are worth well more than $6 million per season, or the combination of a butcher of a fielder, a worthless AAA pitcher, and some AA pitcher who is now struggling. This is coming from someone who wanted Swisher off the team.
  25. Thank God Hunter didn't sign here for $18 million a year. People don't think Swisher is worth $6 million a year, what about Torii?
