Farnsworthless gives up a walk off homer to Michael Young. Man, the Royals muse be regretting that stupid signing.

2009 AL Central Thread
ESPN, a couple of posters who don't think the Mets got Santana for nothing much. Also, when I went to the Dump Dome last summer I saw just as many Gomez shirts as Morneau shirts.

It helps to be in the same division as the Nationals. Congrats to Daniel Cabrera for not striking out in an at-bat today. He drew a walk too.

Why does that comic even warrant a remake?

That's A White Sox Winner!
Damn I wish we had Carlos for the playoffs last season.

Sox @ Rays, 12:38, CSN
Yeah, that pisses me off too. What would Danks' record be if he had half the run support Gavin has received since 2008? Why in the world is JO(ke) playing in CF with BA going to right?

Lineups for today
I do too, but I've seen Delmon play in person and he is very Jermaine Dye-like.

Delmon Young is a defensive liability. http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/2008/11/1...-defense-by-pmr

Tracking 2 of my favorite overhyped Twins OFs: Delmon Young: .200/.226/.300, 9 K's in 30 AB's (Only XBH was against Buehrle on a wall scraping home rune) Carlos Gomez: .125/.176/.219 9 K's in 32 AB's 2/1 SB/CS

2009 Cubs thread
So is Aramis still unclutch? Oh right, Crede doesn't play here anymore. I'm disappointed to see Angel Guzman finally get the win. I was hoping he would finish his career win less.

White Sox Acquire Andy Phillips
I'll never root for the Sox to lose, and it seems like the Sox were just as bad after the deadline with the exception of a late September "run" to fight off the Royals. It's not like Beckham was the last good pick in that draft. Who's to the say the Sox wouldn't have finished lower that year if they get some struggling veterans?

Chicago (5-4) at Tampa Bay (4-6); April 17, 6:38 CDT
didn't we out hit them like 14-4? No business?

White Sox Acquire Andy Phillips
Minor league deal. No biggie. I knew "Doobie" wouldn't amount to anything with the Sox organization. I still the Sox shouldn't given up Iguchi to Phillies so easily after Utley went down. It made the 2007 team look even more like the Pirates.

White Sox (4-4) @ Tampa Bay Rays (4-5), April 16, 6:08 CDT
If you couldn't care less, that means nothing can change your mind on an opinion you have. Your interest level is at an absolute 0. If you could care less that means your interest level is greater than 0, but it's not detailed enough to describe your level of interest of something.

White Sox (4-4) @ Tampa Bay Rays (4-5), April 16, 6:08 CDT
Obviously, but sometimes "Oh my God" isn't detailed enough. Plus I want to follow other games too.

White Sox (4-4) @ Tampa Bay Rays (4-5), April 16, 6:08 CDT
So actually you couldn't care less. What's the best site to follow these games? Sportsline and yahoo aren't updating much.

You've had him and swisher in your sig for some time, no? Are you going to get rid of Nick?

Too bad the Josh Anderson era never started.

Does it sound like there's a lot of Sox fans in attendance?

Swisher is currently PITCHING for the Yanks
Apparently Xaiver Nady is heading for Tommy John surgery. How hard would Cashman laugh at KW if he called up offering Wilson Betemit, Jeff Marquez, and Jhonny Nunez for Swisher and his entire contract?

Sox at Tigers April 15th game thread 12:05 scheduled first pitch
Maybe they're waiting for Swisher to cool off so people don't remember what we gave up to acquire him

2009 Cubs thread
The one out that wasn't a K was a play on the basepaths. So Harden still had an indefinite Groundball to flyball ratio.

If Pods gets recalled, will Fields change his #?
I enjoy it just as much, but I hope the GM and manager aren't making decisions for 2009 and beyond based on 2005. When Jenks gave up that homer to Crisp last week, I was pining for Neal Cotts to come out of the bullpen instead.
