  1. If you're going to use Scott Sullivan as an example, you mine as well say Roberto Hernandez.
  2. Sure we can. They have great spring trainings (Logan) or tear up the minor leagues (Bajenaru) and suck for the major league teams. The guy was cut by the Royals and was given less than a week from the Rangers. This signing is filler.

He's a part time pizza delivery driver. With unemployment benefits one will most likely make more than him by being able to sleep in and surf the net.
  4. Maybe Frank should sign a waiver that prevents him from talking about other people's contracts and his own before the Sox get involved with him again.

So they don't try to track down which shop you went to, just say you paid a gearhead $100 to change it. That's what my gf did when her alternator had to be changed awhile ago. Didn't take long at all. Make sure you say the battery was ok so thankfully you didn't have to buy a new one. This will also buy you another excuse if you miss work again. You can claim a dead battery and bring up how the time when you have to change your alternator you should've changed your battery as well.

Probably our guy Michael Mann filming Public Enemies.
  7. Speak for yourself. I am skeptical of the endangered species act and don't think they fit in with clean air or clean water because humans directly rely on those two other things. Other than that I agree with you about "beliefs" and their place in the law.
  8. So I guess the Sox made a great deal by trading Swisher for scraps because they didn't want him. Same thing with the Rangers trading A-Rod to the Yankees before the 2004 season.
  9. Doubt it. They won't go after the individual users and I don't see what the difference is between someone growing their own pot to smoke versus something growing their own tomatoes or even brewing their own beer. They'll go after the big shots and give them the Al Capone treatment. For minors, look at Alaska's or other decriminalized states' laws. They don't mess around with selling to minors. Felony, mandatory prison time. I could see the same laws going into effect for unauthorized vendors, which would really make people think twice about hooking kids up in the parking lot.

It's not too predictable but the final act was completely rushed and botched by Kevin Smith. He also went with the super cheap "stay after the credits for more scenes" crap.
  11. He used to single the s*** out of us. He sucks as a first baseman
  12. Carl Everett. Willie Harris (he wasn't bad) took a picture of the two of us together in a San Diego mall food court.

Considering you thought Miami Vice was great, I'll take that as a positive sign, and I'm not even a fan of Star Trek.
  14. That's a lot of s***ty Little Casear's Pizza.
  15. Here's the review I promised:
  16. They also flushed quite a few million down the drain today releasing Geoff Jenkins from his 2 year, $13 million deal signed last offseason. I love seeing Dombrowski fail. I'll post a breakdown of some of his big moves and signings later.
  17. In California, the hearing for AB390 has been postponed from Tuesday http://www.canorml.org/news/ammianobill.html

I was just going to post that. I rented that this week and it was nothing like the TV show and it was cliche filled undercover cop story.
  19. http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/244935 Any takers? Just post and I'll PM the other info
  20. People, even though he may not live up to his last name, it's "Fields." *shakes fist*
  21. Here's an old Soxtalk favorite. Are we still going to trade Mark Buehrle for him?
  22. It's refreshing to see it come straight from the horse's mouth that he's selfish and worries about his numbers. Quite a few of us were asked to "back it up" when we were criticizing him last year as if his body language, stories about the press box, and Guillen quotes weren't enough. We were right.
  23. He looks like someone Bart Simpson would prank call.
  24. So if a police officer catches you going through a red it shouldn't count for points either? I heard some of these systems are set up to ticket speeders (especially in Arizona) where if your average speed between two camera > than the speed limit, you get a ticket in the mail.
  25. Just logged in to post that. Either poor/fast reading, or someone is looking for more hits. Given that the same thread starter was speculating a move around 3:00 PM after the 2:30 press conference based on info at 2:15PM, well, I'll let people draw their own conclusions.
