MVP Baseball 2005
I'm 47-3 in the second year of my owner mode. My lineup is stacked and Aramis Rameriez is the oldest positional player at the age of 27. My lineup is: Baldeli Uribe Miggy Cabrera David Wright Aramis Rameriez Joe Mauer Derek Lee Aaron Rowand Rollins Bench: Hairston J. Reed Byrnes Morneau Rotation: Prior Zambrano Francis (top prospect) Joe Kennedy Kyle Lohse I should probably move on to MVP mode.

Good news for the Choadmeister...
That's awesome. I can't wait for Ross to come back, he's gonna be a huge lift off the bench.

MVP Baseball 2005
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) soooo is anybody about to trade in MVP who would be willing to sell it off? I'm too hooked on the game to ever give it up. Plus since there isn't going to be an MVP next year, I think I'm gonna hang onto it.

Krenzel: He Gone!
QUOTE(skidoochic @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) Kitner is playing in Europe right now for the Bears. I can't remember the team name but he just led them to a huge victory like our SuperBowl. Wasn't he on Amsterdam? He played at Illinois when they were decent sayinaintso.

The story on Ross Gload
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 08:30 AM) i thought Gload probably needed surgery at the beginning of the year. For some reason the new medication in the majors is rest for 3 weeks. It doesnt always help, and now Gload is probably going to miss the year because they delayed the inevitable. Im guessing torn muscle in his shoulder. The reason they try to do the "rest for three weeks" as you said is because that approach sometimes works and it a much better way of recovery than surgery. Physical therapy is also prescribed and it works in some cases, but not always. Apparently Ross will now have to have surgery, and the big drawback to having shoulder surgery is that for baseball players it's a long road to recovery, sometimes even a year. As Mike said, Ross probably isn't going to play anytime this year.

The story on Ross Gload
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) Yep and you have no idea when it's gonna go out on you again, it can start to play with yoiur head. I'd like to know exactly what the injury is, have they told us? I wanna know the same thing. And yeah, it becomes a big mental thing. I've had the same injury 3 times so now I'm really really careful whenever dealing with my shoulder.

Bill Mueller could be traded to the White Sox
I would definitely like this move. Now if we could only get Keith back too.

Uh oh. How big was the earthquake that caused Decembers Tsunami?

The story on Ross Gload
I know exactly how he feels and it sucks the big one. After so much hard work to get back to full strength, all it takes is one movement of the shoulder and the injury comes back.

6/14/05 Game Thread
QUOTE(bulokis @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) I know its a long shot but how about Oliver Perez, he is struggling but maybe he can find his stroke after a change of scenery. There is no way in hell the Pirates are going to trade Oliver Perez. He is heating up now and he is going to be a great strikeout pitcher in the near future.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) Ozzie was joking around during the press conference. Frank will be held out of the lineup tonight. They're gonna be careful with him. He was joking around about injuries? I'm really worried about Duque, good thing I won't see the first two hours of the game tonight.

Yeah he's been all or nothing this year. I've followed him closely for fantasy purposes and either he goes 8 innings with a scattered run or 5 innings with 6 runs.

Sox Fan on the Bears
QUOTE(Princess Dye @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 12:02 PM) and Rowand grew up a big Bears fan, no? I think you're right. IIRC he wears a Bears T-Shirt underneath his jersey for every game or something like that.

6/14/05 Game Thread
Argh Javier owns us, except we rocked him in spring training this year. Let's hope we can score a lot cuz I'm not feeling confident in the Cuban connection.

Best line of the night
When I got home my dad said we were losing 8-1. I turned on the tv in my room which was on comcast and saw the cubs were losing 8-1, I thought he was confused in his old age or something. Unfortunatly he wasn't confused.
