  1. Best Buy is not supposed to repackage returned stuff and sell it as new. So if they did, there could be trouble there. If it was something that happened in the warehouse, then I guess there is nothing really that the guy can do but ask Samsung about it. Overall, though, there should be some kind of history in the Best Buy database for an item like this, no? But yeah, like CC said, I wouldn't have been so understanding. The cashier probably said the box was heavier before so she didn't get in any trouble. Overall it is better for Best Buy to replace this monitor for the guy if he really does buy a lot of stuff from them, rather than deal with the kind of PR nightmare this could become. I know that something stupid like this happened to be at Best Buy before, though not as bad. I bought a cd there once, and the "trainee" cashier forgot to give me a receipt. Well I didn't think anything of it when I left and walked around the mall but when I went through the store again to leave, the guy at the door stopped me and asked to look at my receipt, which I didn't have. I had the bag, and the one item in it. I said the cashier didn't give me a receipt, and he asked which register I was at. I told him and he said, "There's nobody working at that register." (Because if I really was trying to steal it, I would pick an empty register and all.) Well I explained to him that someone had been working there before, when I bought it. They went through the receipts in the office and finally found it after about 20 minutes.
  2. Good stuff, thoughtful analysis.
  3. He'll be there on New Year's Eve. I have no doubt in my mind.

I am pretty sure there are only two possible results of this test.

    Honestly

and why are they elected to office http://www.guardian.co.uk/arts/features/st....html?gusrc=rss Edit: I should say that that quote looks out of context. But the fact that he brought it up at all concerning this issue is pretty dense.
  6. Was it the fact that it rarely made contact with the baseball?

Phinnaeus, your Personality Summary Your Personality Type You are a 'mover' who likes to focus on the 'here and now' rather than the past or future. You appreciate the present moment. You are a good listener and people notice that. Your Motto "Just do it!" You prefer 'doing' rather than thinking and analyzing. How You Work best You learn fastest when you can pick up items and actually see and touch them, rather than just read about them. When working on a computer it would be best for you to print out your work and hold it in your hands. Your brain becomes active when your hands are in motion.
  8. Why buy baseball cards when you can just cut pictures out of magazines and paste them on pieces of cardboard?? Damn I wish I thought of that when I was younger, I (who am I kidding, my parents) could have saved so much money.

    Heart question..

Yeah, that would explain why I couldn't find much about it. Except for that one site, which I made sure to link to so people wouldn't think I was making it up. But my totally unfounded hypothesis wasn't too far off.
  10. UMass-UConn tonight in the "U" Game at 9 eastern on ESPN2. It's gonna be U-some baby. Not really. But it will give anyone interested a chance to see how far the UMass team has fallen. We have Rashaun Freeman and Artie Bowers, but little else. Steve Lappas sucks. He can't recruit, he can't coach, he can't even comb his hair decently. I'll be at the game because I like basketball in general but this is like the St. Joe's game last year, we simply don't have the talent edge or the coaching edge to pull off any kind of upset. You need at least one of them to do something cool like that.
  11. I f***ing hate journalism.
  12. ESPN.com says Chris Quinn is 6-2, 188. Alllrighty.
  13. Let's switch it up and say Alex Barron.
  14. How about none of them? I'm tired of the Heisman going to the most popular player on the best team. J.J. Arrington had more yards than Peterson and Bush. Jason Campbell had a better passer rating than Leinart and White. The Heisman is just a product of hype, it's not about determining the best player. And then people wonder why Heisman winners stink in the pros.
  15. Mental. Todd Sauerbrun is inside his head. The guy they replaced him with (Jay Taylor) came out of the Arena League, he played for Gruden's brother in Orlando. He looked real solid on Sunday. 2/2, 3xp, hit from 50.

    Heart question..

Profusion, according to this site is "myocardial profusion, the amount of blood flow that goes through to the heart". So I guess a profusion defect would be constriction of the blood vessels to the heart? I'm just guessin here.
  17. Oh yeah, the guy who threw the first cup got two counts. The guy who threw water in Artest's face got one count. The guy who threw the chair got two, I think. Ben Wallace's brother got one. Another beer thrower got one.
  18. One count of misdemeanor assault & battery for Artest, Jackson, Harrison, Johnson, two for Jermaine O'Neal. I was right about O'Neal, him flying in and punching that guy WAS NOT self-defense.
  19. Did anyone else see about a week and a half ago when Scott did like poetry in the middle of Sportscenter? So retarculous I had to turn it off. :headshake
  20. Excellent PowerPoint work by the Oakland County P.D.
  21. I'm watchin on MSNBC, prolly on other stations.
  22. I don't know, it would certainly help how hard and fast you can push off of your legs. And all that bulk that Bonds and Sheffield have doesn't seem to hurt their bat speed.
