  1. Even if he is ripping the Cubs, he still takes time to take a jab at the White Sox and their fans with the rushing the field comment. I wonder if he even knows he has made a mistake with that comment. He is completely clueless and never listens to anyone else's opinion. He thinks his opinion is always correct and the only one that matters. He is a smug little dirty prick.
  2. He works for the Sun-Times, not the Cubune. Get fired from where and how?
  3. I agree. There is nothing wrong with what he said at all. He basically said his agent and Reinsdorf are talking about an extension. What the hell is the big deal. He said everything respectfully. Stop jumping on the guy's back already. I know it is all so easy for everyone to do because the "media" presents it a certain way, but damn some people just look for things, anything, to jump on him about.
  4. I don't understand what is so wrong about what he said. He basically is saying his agent and Mr. Reinsdorf are in discussions for an extension. Tom Shaer even said he made his comments very respectfully. He is defniately not pouting. This is a bunch of horses*** if you ask me. Everyone get off his back already. This is the happiest I have seen this man and our team is playing really good ball. Can we no enjoy this for once? DAMN!
  5. How are both the Tigers and Royals in the top 10? How are the Astros ranked below the Cubs? This whole ranking system sucks ass.
  6. Your pitchers also get credit for offensive statistics? I have never been in a league that allows that. D-Train is awesome!
  7. Alright Aboz! Nice to see your back!
  8. I just saw something saying the winds were blowing in from LF at 22 MPH, 43 degrees and sunny.
  9. I am not watching the game (keeping an eye on MLB.com Gameday), but can someone please tell me what sense the double switch made there? This essentially makes Sosa the leadoff hitter and Walker the #8 hitter as the pitcher is now batting in the # 3 spot in the lineup. I would understand if this was later in the game, but it is only the 6th inning. I don't understand this reasoning. Anyone?
  10. If our hitters go up there with mind set to see as many pitches as possible from this guy and not swing at the first pitch I think this "first pitcher" thing will disappear. If they are not patient then they may continue to have problems.
  11. I completely agree. I have listened to Rooney for many years now and really like the way he calls a game. Farmer, on the other hand, can put me to sleep with his broadcast.
  12. One thing I do like is his lefthanded bat in a predominant right handed lineup. I am not sure if either he or Rowand are an everyday CF. I would also like to see Rowand batting 2nd. I believe he suits that role in the batting order a lot better than Jose.
  13. I would have to agree. I am not saying he was on steroids or not, but he lost a ton of weight in his upper body. His chest and arms look a lot smaller.
  14. Koch, Cotts/Foulke trade? Is that the one you are referring to? OK whatever. What do the A's have to show for that trade now? Foulke would have walked away from us as well. We weren't going to pay him what Boston just did.
  15. And this differs from what I said in what way. In what way did this even have any relevance to the comment about a pitcher friendly park. Look back at my statements and you can clearly see I brought Nardi's name up a couple times. Don't come blowing your hot air around in my direction and expect to thank you for these nonsensecal comments.
  16. MOVED to a pitcher friendly stadium? He IS in a pitcher friendly stadium!
  17. Listen Cheat, I am not even saying that Kip is not a good pitcher. An ace or a stud I think not. However, to get in a debate about his talent was not my intentions in this thread. The fact that certain fans of the White Sox continue to lament over the trade is what gets to me. I think it is about time to let it go. Damn, it has been 3 years now. Move on and worry about the talent that is on our own team. We have plenty of talent in our system to fantasize about and not have to worry about what could have been if we would have kept the Kipper. Why don't we fixate on what we have and not what we gave up or could have had. That is what I don't understand. There is nothing that could have assured us that he would have been even a decent pitcher with us. Do you really think Nardi would have helped him become the even the pitcher that he is today? I have serious doubts about that. There is a lot that has helped Kip get to the level that he is at right now that would have never happened had he not been traded. Would those same things would have happened in our organization? Who knows.
  18. All I could do was listen to it and watch the gameday thingy on mlb.com here at work. How did our relief pitching really look?
  19. Well my regular eye doctor is Dr. Wonder, however he is out of town this weekend. I have to see his assistant, Dr. Charles., until he gets back. They are really wonderful and I recommend them greatly. They say I have perfect 20/20 vision.
  20. To each their own. You can see it any way you like. If you think Kip Wells can be as good as Schilling then so be it. I can't see any comparison between the two of them.
  21. I can't believe you are comparing Kip Wells to Curt Schilling. :headshake
  22. Like I said, I don't care about the league average. I could care less. I care about how KIP WELLS has performed in the AMERICAN LEAGUE. Thats all. So far in the past two years you have one game against the TB Devil Rays to show me proof of this performance. Not that great if you ask me.
  23. Thank you Fan. The Texas game was not played in an American League park. It was played at Pittsburgh.
