He also found out he would have to make all of his income public. He didn't want to do that.

Really? He doesn't have a lumber company? Anybody need wood? He does own part of that timber company. Check out factcheck.org and see how truthful this straight shooter is. Fact Check How can you be for In vitro Fertilization and not for Embryonic Stem Cell Research? How can you be for the Death Penalty but against Abortion? Those things are very contradictory to me, but those are Bush and Republican beliefs. Anyway, he, like most politicians, is a liar.
-
may I ask why you are so in favor of Bush?
-
If this poll is at all correct then it would mean that most sox fans are republican? I find this very hard to believe.

I would much rather deal Konerko if we had to choose between one. Carlos has more speed and is more agressive which seems to fit with the team better. His defense is underrated or over analyzed as he is only a LF. We may even be able to move him to 1B if one of our kids are ready to move into the OF. I would much rather keep Carlos and trade Paulie while Paulie's value seems to be at its peak. That is if we can choose one.

Keith Foulke article in today's Sun-Times

You mean he doesn't? The Sun-Times is pretty close to it. -
Chad Johnson/Peter Warrick Marvin Harrison/Reggie Wayne Deion Branch/David Givens Joe Horn/Donte' Stallworth Darrell Jackson/Koren Robinson/Bobby Engram Isaac Bruce/Torry Holt Anquan Boldin/Larry Fitzgerald There are 7 WR combos that I would rather have than Ward/Burress and that is only because Burress sucks so much. Team up Ward with Randel El and I like that combo much more. Why does Ward get all of the balls thrown his way? Is it because he gets open a lot more than Burress does? That is with Ward facing the tougher DBs and the more double teams. What does that say about Burress? Are you a Michigan State alum or fan? That is the only way I can see anyone defending this eratic piece of s***.

The same type of tool Phil Nevin was before everything clicked? Phil Nevin was awful until he was 27 years old and only showed that he had some power before that. Borchard is very good defensively in right field. If and once things click for him at the plate he can be an all star. It may be a big if, but he still has huge upside. Here, check out Nevin's career Nevin Will the same happen here? Will he need a change of scenery to do it? I don't know, but the potential and upside is there.

Why is that? 40 ABs and you guys are claiming victory? Good luck! Reed doesn't impress me much at all. By claiming victory shows that you are rooting for Reed to do better than Borchard, which shows you are rooting for a Mariner to do better than a White Sox. Good going!

Are you kidding me? I for one don't want anything to do with this guy. Especially if we have to give up anything good. What has he done this year that makes you think he is good? 5 catches for 103 yards in 3 games? He is an enigma. No thank you.
-
thanks for the update. The Hurricane should be gone by then? I can't imagine them getting to big of a crowd.
-
I'm sorry I just don't see him making the same outstanding plays you see him making. For every great play he makes he makes a big bonehead play with either an awful throw or a lapse in concentration handling an easy grounder. He is annoying to watch both offensively and defensively.

HOLY s***!!!!! When is the Pitt/Miami game being played? Have they announced that yet?
-
Great points. I agree.

Are you stating that Carl Crawford to all other LFs is the same comparison as Cabrera and Jose Valentin? I think there is a big difference in comparing LFs and SSs. Maybe for some positions it works and others it doesn't. If it give Ryne Sandberg a high range factor then I know for sure that thing is a piece of s***.
-
No he wasn't almost always within the top 4. That is false. He was at the bottom quite a bit or hitting 6th down. If he was hitting 5th is he now surrounded by Vlad and Vidro? I think not.
-
Really? That makes it legit? So if a player had 20 ground balls hit right to him in a game and recorded 20 outs he would have a great range factor? Nah, I don't buy into it at all.
-
really? How many years were Vidro and Gurrero surrunding him? Cabrera did not always bat at the top. Hmmm.
-
When he was surrounded by Guerrero and Vidro his OBP was .347. Pretty close no? He also had 17 HRs, 80 RBI, and 24 SBs. Pretty good #2 no? He would be surrounded with a similar cast here.
-
What kind of offense has Jose been playing for compared to Cabrera's? How old are Cabrera and Valentin? I am not a big fan of the range factor, however others here can tell you if it is a legit stat or not. I can't say how legit or how good of a stat it is. All I know is I would rather watch each player play defense. From what I have seen Cabrera is far superior to Jose, especially at this point in their careers.
-
In a good offense and a good team Cabrera is an outstanding #2 hitter. He was the runner up the last two years to Renteria as the SS gold glove. I believe he won it in 2001, I could be wrong. He is not the same player as Jose Valentin. In fact it is not even a fair comparison.

BA HA HA HA HA!!!!
-
well Jaret Wright was one this year, although I guess he could be considered a veteran guy at 28 years old.
-
I think he has shown some flashes of playing SS at a high level defensively, but I don't believe he is in the same caliber of a Cabrera. At 2B I think he is outstanding. Cabrera and Uribe would make a great duo.

great point
