  1. CLTV also reported that Clement was close to signing with the Jays.
  2. I would take either Clement or Lieber, but CLTV this morning reported that Toronto is close to signing Clement, come on Kenny, get off your ass.
  3. I would of liked to see Vinny Castilla at 3rd instead of Joe Creepie, but he just signed with Washington as well, and was cheap.
  4. I agree with that, according to that lineup, we better sign Beltran then.
  5. Guys, remember we live in Chicago, like New York and LA we should be a big market club, spending money for big time players and drawing fans. If Reinsdorf was losing money with this team, he wouldn't have held on to it for 20 plus years already. Open up the purse strings already and bring us a fricken winner Jerry. In regards to the reserve outfield, sorry Jim, have to agree with Israel, these are other teams rejects with the exception of Borchard, and I don't think his .160 average cuts it. (Be careful of Israel's 2 year old nephew, he is a badass.) :fthecubs
  6. I don't like Boras either, but doesn't Drew Rosenhaus do the same thing in football, like with Willis McGehee (however you spell it)?
  7. One year ago tonight, one of the best days of my life, Moises and Prior going ballistic after Mr. Bartman interferes. I see it everyday, Happy Anniversary to my idol. :fthecubs
  8. I would rather have Roberts than Hairston. Also, Kent is gone, I believe he is a FA. Berkman would be awesome but he won't be leaving, especially when Beltran is going elsewhere. I agree with Biggio and Bagwell older, they won't let Berkman go, especially being from Texas.
  9. Nyls Nyman or Kevin Bell, really, how bout Jerry Koosman and Dennis Lamp, major figures in the 80's.
  10. He would fill two voids, our catchers suck, and so does our hitting as of late.
  11. Because with Burke, Alomar and Davis, we are set at catching, right?
  12. Why don't we go after this guy, it appears as if he is available, with all the trade rumors out there. I would rather trade Sweeney to the Dodgers for him rather than Cliff Floyd. :fthecubs
  13. I have no problem dealing with the NL, lets deal with Pittsburgh, Kendall and Benson then.
  14. I mean't Borchard, Rauch, and 2 minor leaguers for Benson, Kendall and tons of cash, Sorry.
  15. I don't care too much about Mesa, Kendall and Benson for Borchard, Rauch and a minor league player or two.
  16. If I remember correctly, wasn't there a lot of b****ing when we signed Valentin to a $5 Million dollar contract in the off season? I would do this trade if we could get Ortiz and Eckstein.
  17. I would take Kendall in a minute, I would like Benson as well, he shut down the best hitting team in the National League yesterday.
  18. we wouldn't have to mortgage our future if JR would open up his pursestrings and pay some free agents, if he really wants to win.
  19. Agree 100 % about Martinez, just let it be known that it wasn't me that suggested it, I said Zaun, Charles Johnson, Kendall, Estrada, and even Lieberthal on a longshot.
  20. The only thing that I saw was last night, on Sports Extra, where he said we have a good ball club, and that he is looking forward to coming here.
  21. I would rather have Maggs as well, but if we aren't going to sign him. On the Score today, Murphy had someone on the air from Atlanta, who said that Jones has been on the decline the last couple of years, and that he has bad knees, though believes that his numbers may rise by playing at the "Cell".
  22. Thats not exactly what I said, if you go back to the previous page, I said I would trade Maggs, Rauch, and a couple of players from the minors for Estrada, Ortiz and Drew, I don't want Andruw Jones.
  23. I don't see Martinez happening at all, Estrada, if the Braves want Mags so bad, lets rip them off. How bout Lieberthal?
