  1. Yeah but we are catching a break with the LA Angels, with Vlad and their top closer on the shelf.
  2. I am still happy with 2/3 especially with who they threw at us this weekend.
  3. I don't want to keep BMAC up if he is only going to pitch out of the bullpen, and maybe once a week. I would rather him get his innings and experience at AAA.
  4. Again guys, its only one game, and we still picked up a game on Minny who lost 2/3 to Milwaukee at home. I am upset that we lost, but it is not the end of the world. There were 2 places where Ozzie messed up today, and almost a 3rd. First of all, he shouldn't of let Vizcaino pitch to Patterson that inning, Cotts should of faced him. Second, with 1st and 3rd and one out, he should of lifted Uribe for Everett, Uribe is slumping, if we get one, we tie it in the ninth on Paulie's homer. Third, in the eight, after Shingo walked Ramirez, he should of brought in Walker to pitch to Patterson. If you want to trade with Philly, look at Billy Wagner, who on ESPN actually brought up the White Sox as a possibility.
  5. Again people it is one game, I am happy taking 3 of 4 from the first place Orioles, we have only lost 10 games all year, lets calm down, after all Minnesota lost as well.
  6. Met a bunch of people, trying to remember them all; Baseball wise-Frank Thomas, Mark Buerhle, Eric Gagne, Torri Hunter, Sammy Sosa, Mark Grace, Billy Williams, others at autograph shows, all super nice people, other then Sosa, Clemens, Rose and Canseco, Sosa the 2nd time I met him was a dick. Football-no one special. Hockey-Alex Zhamnov, Brett Hull, Bobby Hull, Chris Chelios, Gary Suter, Denis Savard, Jeremy Roenick, etc. (all nice, especially Zhamnov and Brett Hull who signed autographs until he had no more pictures to hand out). Basketball-Curry, Chandler, Jalen Rose, Jamal Crawford, Michael Jordan who is the biggest prick around, Scottie Pippin, Dennis Rodman (super nice), Charles Barkley, Jason Kidd, Toni Kukoc, David Robinson, Antonio Davis, Dikembe Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning suprisingly a nice guy. Boxing- Ali, Leon Spinks (drunk), Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson. Showbiz-Michael Douglas, Billy Crystal, Oprah, Kramer (a prick as well), Jean Claude Van Damme, Uma Thurman, Traci Lords and Anna Nicole Smith (before she got fat) on back to back days, Will Smith, Jack Nicholson, Paula Abdul, Nick Lachay, Brittney Spears, Kelsey Grammar, Morgan Freeman, Brian Dennehy, Pierce Brosnan, all nice people, many more that I can't think of off the top of my head. Wrestlers: The Big Show, Stone Cold Steve Austin, HHH, The Heartbreak Kid, too many to name. I used to work at the airport.
  7. Guys, I am pissed off also that we lost that game, too many walks, but lets keep it in prospective, we still have only lost 9 games this year, no other team can say that they haven't lost less than ten. We will win tomorrow, and 4-2 is still a successful road trip, in fact, God forbid we lose tomorrow, 3-3 is still not bad, yeah it sucks after being 3-0, but I am sure we will win tomorrow.
  8. Guys we are 22-7, why are we even talking trade right now, and with the Cubs.
  9. Remember, Brad Radke says it is only April, and pennants aren't won in April, who knows by the end of the week they could be 8 games out.
  10. 7-11's, they have them in English and in Hindu
  11. Yeah, Radke is right, I would rather have those two losses that he has started than two wins any day, even in April, and I would rather be 0-2 with an ERA in the 10's or whatever, than 2-0 with an ERA in the 2.00s, what a moron.
  12. This is what we should be talking about, against 2 excellent hitting clubs, Buehrle-no runs, Garcia-3 runs, Contreras-1 run, Hernandez-1 run=5 runs combined in 4 starts, about 26 innings pitched. Is there a hotter starting pitching staff yet this year? Lets hope Garland can keep it going, and that I didn't jinx us.
  13. I am very happy with our record, though we could of been 4-0, but if someone asked me if I would be happy at 3-1 at this time, I would say yes.
  14. You are right, I never did think that Shingo would blow the lead, however, while listening to the game, I was a little pissed that Ozzie took out Dustin, he should of at least started the ninth inning, if someone gets on, then bring in Shingo.
  15. Should of been a sweep, Ozzie totally f***ed up this game, and I am an Ozzie fan. He should of never lifted Dustin, who was our best pitcher coming out of spring training. Shingo in the Spring is not the greatest, as we saw last year and this year. Typical manager move, not to hurt feelings, let our stopper get an easy save, it's not like Dustin threw a hundred pitches, he should of left him in. An earlier person stated that Ozzie burned up our bullpen, wrong, and this is also where Ozzie messed up. Fine if Contreras is done, bring in Cotts but for only 1/3, then Politte for 1/3, and Marte for a 1/3. A 1/3 of an inning doesn't burn up our bullpen, it messed up our last pitcher who had to go more than 2 innings because there was no one left. Ozzie is to blame for this one, I hope there isn't many more like this one, we had momentum going to Minny.
  16. While listening to Boers and Bernstein today, a caller mentioned that Prior no longer wears his stirrups high, that his pants were now down to his spikes. He didn't mention steroids but said that Prior's calves are now half the size they used to be, and that he wears his pants long to hide this, anyone else catch this?
  17. Yeah, how mature was Marky after Bartman interfered with the ball, didn't he lose his composure a little bit?
  18. How did we go from a possible Sox-Reds trade to Barry Bonds and steroids? Anyway, is anyone else concerned that Cliff Politte is total s***?
  19. Its not as much that I want Graves, I was just responding to the person that said Graves sucks. I would much rather have Austin Kearns.
  20. Yeah, Politte is better than Graves, right?
  21. If they are thinking about trading Garland, I would package Borchard and Cotts, and get Freel and Austin Kearns. Or how bout Borchard, Ben Davis and Cotts for Kearns, hell what about Danny Graves.
  22. Lets do a blockbuster with Pittsburgh then, how bout Crede, Borchard, Garland, and Willie for Mackowiak and Oliver Perez, or even Jack Wilson and Perez.
  23. Remember, he sucked last spring training as well.
  24. With B-Mac pitching the way he is, why don't we trade Garland and Crede, or Contreras and Crede for a decent 3B?
