ESPN Insider's Buster Olney is reporting that the Fish are now approaching the Sox about A.J. Burnett, and would be asking for Brandon McCarthy in return. The trade could be expanded with Damaso Marte going to the Fish and the Fish including another player.

The Miami Herald is reporting that the White Sox are the team that is most actively pursuing A.J. Burnett.

The internet states that since the Mariners have dropped into last place, they want to unload Bret Boone, Randy Winn, and Jamie Moyer. I am not interested in the other two, unless we get Winn and lose Timo. But what about Moyer, I don't know what kind of money he makes, but he does have some Midwest ties, with Digger and family living around. Sorry if someone has posted this already.

It was Buehrle's game to lose, if you elect not to pinch hit for him, which was the mistake Ozzie made. He had to pinch hit for him in that situation, but, he chose not to, so he should of let Buehrle finish the game, if he loses it, he loses it.

I had no problems with the way Ozzie used his pitchers yesterday. The problems that I have with Ozzie and the pitchers are when he leaves them in one or two batters too long, ie. Shingo Vs. Cleveland, Viscaino Vs. Cubs, etc.

Careful, he may call AJ out for throwing the ball to third on what he and everyone else believed was a 3rd strike on Prior.

I hope the Cubs get jobbed if they do make a deal. He also mentioned that the player named Carruthers, who the Cubs got in the Sosa deal quit baseball. So the trade amounts to Sosa for Hairston and Fontenot. He mentioned that Baltimore will give the Cubs another player, why I don't know. A deal is a deal, its not like they didn't scout this player. What does ATH stand for so I could check out the names mentioned, I don't mean to sound ignorant.

He also mentioned that the Cubs and another Minor League team (National League)are working on a deal, he will mention the names being mentioned as well as the team tomorrow. He did say that they would get a power hitter in return. One name mentioned was Corey Patterson.

Remember a couple of years back, when I can't recall who the pitcher was, faked to 3rd and thru to 1st to pick off Mark Grace, I can't believe our pitcher deceived Grace like that either.

I wish they punished Uribe by taking him out of the game with 1st and 3rd and 1 out and brought in Carl to pinch hit.

My take on this is that it is Derrick Lee's fault, with 2 outs he should be running on anything hit, and waiting for an ump to tell him it was foul, he should of picked up his 3rd base coach. What Paulie did, I feel was wrong, if he had something to say, he should of said it in the clubhouse, whose team is he on anyway?

I agree, it was in front of the basket, you mean to tell me it was a perfect shot, that went into a hole in the basket without deflecting the ball in any other direction, or without rattling around, I don't think so.

I totally agree with you 100%, its not like we are in last place 50 games out, we have the best record in baseball. I didn't see this s*** about Shingo after he gave up the 3 homers in one inning against Cleveland. Maybe there was some things written, but not like this, and Shingo hasn't been great either.
