QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 25, 2006 -> 10:30 PM) Do you realize who you're talking about? He can do it. I can do anything.
-
I will probably no longer be in 3rd. And to think I was doing so good. I had Texas going to the finals.
-
QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) my magic 8 ball membership should be revoked.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 10:22 PM) Well the teams left our half way to a title. Now that we've all seen these teams play 3 games, who do you think is going to win it all?? I'm going to stick with my original and say nova(I really think the winner of that regional final has a great chance to win it) but this is so wide open it's ridiculous. I still say Uconn

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 25, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) anyone watching this game? Headed to OT. Been a great game. Really this has been a great tourney. Lots of close games and more importantly the fact that a lot more teams have a legit shot this year.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 25, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) Almanza probably needs to look into a new career. I hope the Sox don't waste everybody's time and send him to the minors. Just release him. Everytime he's pitched he's gotten smoked. He's awful.

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Mar 25, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) Today was the first I got to hear singleton. It was painful to listen to him to PBP. Sounded like a high school broadcast. I turned it off rather than listen. This is disgusting. I really hate the SCORE. He must be really bad. I haven't heard anyone say anything good about him. Luckily I don't listen to the Sox on the radio, but he seems to be one of those boring guys. He's nice, but nice doesn't mean you should have the job.

Hawks are just a point behind St. Louis for being the worst in the Western Conference. Don't know where the bottom feeders of the East fit in.

Just want to say great article. I never really got to hear Rooney call games, but during the playoffs I heard a lot of replays of some of his calls and they were just awesome. He's going to be missed.

Losing Rooney Crushing for Sox Fans By Alex Bozich Senior Writer, Soxtalk.com Oh how I envy you, St. Louis Cardinals fans. Yes, we got the ring. Yes, you choked to the Astros in last year’s playoffs. But that’s beside the point. Your new play by play man is none other than our beloved John Rooney. And well, let’s just say his replacement here in Chicago isn’t quite in the same league...MORE

QUOTE(LDF @ Mar 25, 2006 -> 12:53 PM) excellent way to go. if you can, get a hold of heather if she is around, nuke is vey familar with hockey and the hawks. can you get a hold of hawkfan50, fullmetalninja, disgruntlehawksfan and behn wilson. those guys were great posters, i might never agreed with all they wrote, but they were hawks fan and great poster. I've emailed heather. Does anyone have Frank's email address by chance? The site will be up tonight.
-
I think at least a few of you visited or were members of BHZ. I was going to ask if any of you know what happened? Did Frank just close the site?
-
Guess not the Cubs game is on.

Is this on WGN or something?

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) Did a search.... it was a Mr. Rogers chat on BA... More velocity...NO...overhyped YES. I think Rogers was believing some of the hyped radar readings that a lot of prospect places use. I remember BA was saying he was throwing as high as 94 in the minors his first year and the first time I saw him pitch (which was basically his rookie year), he never got past 90 and he was consistently in the upper 80's. Thats not a problem, but you better be have pinpoint command of that fastball and knuckle curve. He had pretty good command at that time, but he made some sort of mechanical adjustment and than just SUCKED (I think that was 2 or 3 years ago now). It was when he went to AA and made like 1 appearance.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 05:44 PM) I think this year will show whether Honel will be a prospect for the Sox once again or not. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to agree with Jason's long time view on Honel and that is he's just not going to pan out. As Cheat said, don't count on him this year. In fact, I'm not counting on him ever reaching the bigs with the Sox. Another first round bust IMO. It was just a bad pick. He was really damn good in highschool but his stuff just didn't project. Awesome knuckle curve but didn't have much secondary stuff. Thats not the type of guy you take that early, imo. I feel the same way about Broadway. I think both will be mistakes.
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 10:02 AM) I'd give up Broadway in a heartbeat. Broadway can't be dealt quite yet.
-
QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 12:48 PM) When I talked to him last year he said he felt really good, and was actually pretty dominant for two months. He faltered late in the year, but I think he'll be fine. I could have sworn there was a blurb about him having Tommy John, but after doing a google search, I can't find anything on it. He should be 100% healthy. Some people here said he had tommy john, but than JD said he was working out and throwing (he knows his stuff), which tells me it was a lesser surgery.

To one of the better posters. Happy Birthday to you and Caruso

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 10:21 PM) You really need to interview me. Got any plans this weekend? Ya, not interviewing you Monday I'll be back with Mario. This was more a way for me to get some practice and work on improving, but hopefully whoever listened to it enjoyed it.
-
QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 07:09 PM) Good show. But, what the hell was with the break? I liked the solo aspect of it, but, it wouldn't work all the time. So, hurry back Mario. I got tired of talking for a bit and needed some rest.

Sox Pen A Cause for Concern By Alex Bozich Senior Writer, Soxtalk.com What was part of the staple that held together a 2005 championship run for the Chicago White Sox is now the biggest question mark heading into a season where they are being picked by many to at least repeat as Central Division champions if not challenge for another World Title...MORE
