  1. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 03:04 PM) Sorry fella's, too busy tonight (marathon training again), should be able to get my first one done, correct lettering and size tomorrow. Thats cool. Take your time.
  2. I'll get it up right now and post it on the main board. Than when we get the permanent one from deploder, I'll actually find a specific spot on the board to have the graphic up (since it'll be a weekly piece).
  3. I'll repin this thread tomorrow, but there is a lot of site stuff up there right now.
  4. Soxtalk On the Air This time Mario and I break down the lineup, but we also discuss Hermanson a bit as well. The show runs around 50 minutes. Starting with our next show, we will have podcasts.
  5. Soxtalk.com will continue its expansion today, by launching a site, one devoted to the beloved Chicago Bulls. This site, TalkBulls.com, is the 2nd step of a large network of Chicago Sports sites that we will be building on our new network, TalkChicagoSports (TCS). We recently launched TalkBears.com, now its TalkBulls.com and in the near future we hope to launch a few more sports sites. We hope to expand the passion that is Soxtalk to other teams fans and try to create that same passion on the web for Bears fans. So if your a Bulls fan or have friends/family that are Bulls fans please tell them to check TalkBulls.com out. The site will begin as one forum, but will eventually expand to have offtopic discussions. Once the site takes off we will upgrade to the version of the site that is used at Soxtalk and in the near future TalkBulls will also have a front page. Hopefully everyone enjoys it.
  6. FutureSox All Prospect Team: Hitters By Josh Wolff FutureSox.com The Sox All Prospect team will comprise of a player at each position and than an honorable mention. The first part of the article will discuss the hitting prospects and on Wednesday an article will be up with the pitching prospects. The Sox farm system is heavy in outfield talent even after trading top prospect Chris Young, who currently ranks as the 23rd best prospect in baseball by Baseball America. However, the Sox some quality arms in the lower levels.MORE
  7. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 11:22 PM) I am just wondering if the Sox would consider giving both of them roster spots if they both pitch well for the remainder of ST, considering what happened to Hermie. If Hermy is down, I think the Sox will pick up a veteran thats on the bubble somewhere else. Thats my guess though. We need bullpen help and badly. What hurts worse is the fact that our system isn't going to have the people necessary to allow KW to go out and get players (which means if we trade for people at the deadline, he'll have to take on salary, imo). And if he does trade the few prospects we have left, than we'll have zero chips. If it wins us another WS fine, but I think Kenny is going to be a lot less active (in terms of giving up prospects) in 2006 than in past years.
  8. The Angels are the most ridiculous farm system in baseball. They have some insane hitting prospects. The Angels and Dodgers are in a whole other league when it comes to farm systems (at this moment).
  9. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 08:47 PM) No, I am almost positive he has been floating around before. Wow, was a season kick off. Ya, he was usually in the scenes where they sit around the construction yard talking up sports and everything else. Great episode though. And I don't think he's dead.
  10. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 09:52 PM) Early 90s, even to the mid 90's. It's not as far back as Makita and Hull, don't take it back that far. But yeah, i wouldn't wast the time with a hawks forum, tony and i can just talk on AIM, lol. An illini one would be golden, especially if it's the complete opposite of IB. Actually I'm thinking a college board may be the next venture (after the Bulls site). Both Notre Dame and Illini would be solid starts. Do you guys know if there is a lot of competition in that regards? Ie, are there good Illini or Fighting Irish sites out there?
  11. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 07:38 PM) I'm looking forward to the new skin Its up right now as the default. If you don't see it, go into your control panel and change the skin to the Invision Power Orange One
  12. The Bulls site will open tomorrow AM. Bears site is going to get a sweet color makeover thanks to Heads.
  13. I remember last year I enjoyed this thread as I was following Fullerton's climb in the NIT.
  14. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:34 PM) is the podcast up somewhere yet? If so could you tell me where it is, or how i could get it? thanks Just the mp3 file. We are doing the 2nd show tomorrow and Mario is the one who knows that stuff, but he was going to talk to someone. Hopefully by tomorrow we'll be able to have both set as podcasts as well.
  15. QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:34 PM) No kidding, It sucked Just be around when we repeat this year
  16. Reynoso has an arm the Sox brass loves. I know he's one of those guys Wilder is really high on. He also throws a decent slider, but command is a big issue. Definately has some upside, but he's going to have to consistently throw strikes before he reaches it.
  17. The Bulls site may be open by tonight. I'm working hard to get the smilies in and get a couple other skins available.
  18. QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 05:51 PM) That is going to be tough to match for Seattle, that is a monster contract.. Especially with it being front-loaded. I read a few different places that this deal will make it near impossible for the Seahawks to match. Although if the Seahawks were going to go out of the way to bring a guy back, Hutch would be that guy. This offer is very similar to the one the Bears offered Tait and how it was frontloaded so that KC couldn't match.
  19. I just want to first off say welcome back. Secondly I want to say that TRU stepped up. He was originally banned for coming back on this site and creating a name while he was suspended. Since being banned he has not tried to come back around and try to sneak back onto the site. Instead he patiently waited, every once in a while contacting me and asking if there was any way he could eventually get back on. Just this past day I got a PM from another member and than talked to TRU about the whole situation. The key was that instead of going around, TRU and another member took the initiative to contact us and try to go about getting back on the site the proper way. TRU was a good poster on this site, who maybe had some flaws, but he also knows sports and has a passion for the Sox and sports in general. With that, I want people to understand that he was let back in for following the rules of his banning and we respected that and are willing to grant him another opportunity. Welcome back
  20. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 05:28 PM) Please don't tell me you think they deserved a 2 seed over Illinois or UNC? He's implying your lucky Tenn is the 2 seed in that bracket. Sure you may have been seeded low, but Tenn is the worse 2 seed and would probably be the worse 3 seed. That means your bracket is a lot easier thanks to that.
  21. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 05:21 PM) Did I just see T R U on the active member list? My computer must not be working. He's going to be making a post shortly, but he has been unbanned. I'll be explaining it in his post. I know we had a whole issue with jabroni coming back so he's going to make a post and than I'll respond saying he was allowed back into the site and why. That way everything is out in the open.
  22. I better not read this thread in a couple hr's when its aired on the midwest and I still won't have seen it.
  23. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:55 PM) That's what I'm hoping, I actually love the WVU draw, I didn't want to face a team with an inside presence down low cause that could give us fits. We guard so f***in well on the perimeter, I'm just absolutely thrilled with that matchup. It would definitely be fun as hell to watch us go against each other, like cheat and I already said...wow, that game would be unbelievably low scoring. Even scarier is that I happen to think after the 2nd round game, whoever comes out of this area (be it Iowa, SIU, NWS, or West Virginia) we meet up with the 2nd best team in the country (not by polls) in my mind. I think Uconn and Texas are the two best teams out there, with Nova a slight 3rd. Memphis is insanely talented but those 3 teams I mentioned are the 3 best in my mind.
  24. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:37 PM) That's why it's good it's happening in Spring Training and not in a crucial part of an important regular season game. My point is, I think it's more likely as Jason said that we'd trade for a guy who could fill in that role if Hermy got injured, instead of changing B-Mac into a setup man. Technically speaking I said by seasons end Bmac will be our main setup guy along with Cotts. I firmly believe that too. Bmac is going to play a big role for this team.
  25. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:35 PM) NW State is a pretty damn good team too, don't get me wrong..I think you guys will win but NW state can definitely play. I sure hope so. I know Heads is praying to any god that will listen for Iowa to come crashing down. We are strong defensively, so if we can get going and play well in a neutral area (we should have been almost at home in Minny) than we should be alright.
