  1. Wow, another 3-0 count to Juan.
  2. QUOTE(JimH @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 05:11 PM) I understand what some posters are saying about Blum being a pinch hitter but there is no way I wouldn't have given Pierzynski the chance to redeem himself. Now they are down to their last three outs. Aj is a starter in this league for a reason while Blum is on the bench for a reason. In fact he doesn't even play anymore and thats for a reason. AJ should of been out there to play. No doubt about it.
  3. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 05:10 PM) Stop 2nd guessing. Jesus. It ain't 2nd guessing. I don't mean to speak for ya Jim and I'm sure you'll respond. But neither of us are exactly known as second guessers. I'm sure he was shaking his head watching the tv just as I was as well as many others. I was calling for a pinch hitter, either AJ or Gload. I could see not bringing in AJ because they didn't want to waste a pitcher, assuming that Walker would come in (I'm assuming Walker was up in the pen)...however at the very least I'd of brought in Gload or AJ let them bring in the lefty and than countered by bringing in Brian Anderson to PH.
  4. Double play...Sox have 3 outs left.
  5. QUOTE(JimH @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) Well I totally disagree with that, how can you not pinch hit Pierzynski there for Widger. That is totally f***ing stupid, unless he's afraid they'll bring in Walker to face him again. Either way, I would have taken my chances giving Pierzynski another shot vs. the lefthander. Completely disagree with that decision. Still, you worried about a pinch hitter, Bring in Gload, or Bring in AJ. He goes to walker, go back to the bench and bring in Anderson. Just don't go with Blum.
  6. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) The postgame press conference will be interesting. Maybe Ozzie will quit because the questions are too tough. Maybe Nossek resigned because Ozzie didn't know how to manage and wouldn't listen to anyone about managing.
  7. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) Well, Ozzie, at least you got your point across to Ross Gload... Ozzie's a piece of s***. I will never forgive what they did to Gload. People can tell me all they want about how Gload is a minor league vet. Gload is one of the 6 or 7 best hitters on the club. Ozzie is a f***ing blind man when it comes to talent. I've said it for a long time, he wouldn't know talent if it hit him in the ass. In fact, he had a s***load of talent and wasted it.
  8. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) Gload? maybe Anderson? maybe but no, let's use geoff blum, our defensive guy......way to go oz Blum sucks defensively too.
  9. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) THIS TEAM HAS NO f***ING BALLS DO OR DIE SERIES FOR THEIR f***ING PLAYOFF LIVES AGAINST THE f***IGN TIGERS AND THEY s*** THEIR PANTS STUPID ASS WHITE SOX Reminds me of 2 years ago...oh wait, last year two. Sox continue to show a lack of balls.
  10. Check that...White Sox = LOSERS PATHETIC f***ING PATHETIC
  11. When the f*** was the last time Blum played? I know he's hitting just over .100 in his last 28 AB's or so.
  12. Well it figures. f***ing moron uses Blum of all people when Gload, Pyrz are on the bench. Thats just f***ing retarded. OZZIE = LOSER
  13. Paulie hits it hard to cf, but its 1 out.
  14. Is the Tigers pen any good?
  15. Yes, double play.
  16. Well lets see if the offense can find its mojo.
  17. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 04:50 PM) I know that is true. I can't believe these Tigers don't know they are acrappy team and ain't going anywhere. They should roll over for us. Unfortunately the way the White Sox are playing it looks like thats what they were thinking.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) I disagree with the person, I think jas, who earlier said we're as good as anyone in baseball. I think that with our pitching coming back to non-superhuman form the 2nd half of the year, there are 4 or 5 teams that are superior to the Sox. I think our pitching can go against anyone staff in baseball. Sure it hasn't been amazing but i put a lot of that blame on the offense. No pitching staff can continually go out and bail an offense out. At one point an offense needs to get on a stretch and tell the pitchers to relax. I saw it for years in LA. Dodgers would have stellar pitching and never score and eventually the Dodgers would fade and go one and done in the playoffs because the pitching staff would be so mentally worn down due to all the close games they were pitching in. They always had to be perfect and as a pitcher your at your worse when your trying to throw a shutout and have it in your mind that you can't make a mistake. You do that and you start aiming and being exact and start majorly falling behind in the count.
  19. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) I had a dream once about the Sox winning the pennant, but the year was all kind of fuzzy. Do you think there is a chance that Tribe loses and we rally to get a 3 game edge, or will it happen the other way around? I know one thing...we'd all feel a s***load better if that happened.
  20. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) I think the cause of death of 99% of Sox fans is frustration. There is no known cure. I need to stop watching...pretty soon I'm gonna have gray hair.
  21. Dear Santa: Please give me an early Christmas gift and bring the playoffs to the Southside of Chicago Signed A Depressed Sox fan
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 04:45 PM) :puke I'm going home and having dinner. I can't take this for 2 more innings. I'm debating doing the exact same thing. Going to my moms where I don't have mlb xtra innings and throwing some food on the grill. I probably should. It would be better for my blood pressure. I'm gonna die at a young age thanks to the Sox.
  23. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) Nice job Arow. Another pulled pitch on the ground, a few bounces into the SS glove. The coach hitting the fungo before the game couldnt of laid it into his glove better.
  24. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) Rowand has no bat speed. Last year he would hammer things to left...this year nothing. Your right on that. I don't know what he's doing. He loves to jam himself too.
  25. Schilling is toast...he's gonna give up a few more, imo. That will be a good game. Too bad the White Sox blow ass and probably won't win another with their ineptness to execute. I can count quite a few games the past 7-10 days that the Sox should of won. Shoulda woulda coulda don't mean s*** in baseball. As Sammy Sosa would say...You no execute...you no win. Koskie strikes out with a runner on 3rd and 1 out.
