Sometimes its tough, especially for the rookie level teams. And if you wouldn't mind, I'd love giving you credit for that and putting it up on FS as well

  3. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) It is a little late, but still worthy. Wily Mo Pena, 2004(24 years old) - .259 26 HR 66 RBI 5 SB .316 OBP, 527 SLG, .843 OPS, 22 BB, 108 K in 110 games, 358 PA's Sammy Sosa, 1993(24 years old) - .261 33 HR 93 RBI 36 SB, .309 OBP, .485 SLG, .794 OPS, 38 BB, 135 K in 159 games, 636 PA's Surprise, surprise, I have seen him compared to Samme before. And you wonder why any team wouldn't want him. Umm, if he puts up Sosa like numbers I'd gladly take Pena. I'm talking about that few year run Sosa had where he was the best or one of the best offensive players in baseball. This is ego aside. But if the Sammy Sosa from 98 was still around I'd take him on the sox any day of the week. As much as I hate the assclown he was amazing during that run.
  4. QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) And #3 on Fullerton thinks he's good, but blows. Nah, Bobby Brown is pretty damn good. Insanely fast, takes a lot of shots though. Fullerton was really out of it on offense without Ralphy Holmes. Let to tons of turnovers and piss poor shot selection. Put it this way, Brown is way cocky and thinks he's the s***, but at the same time he's about as good as it gets in terms of offensive quickness. The guy can break down about anyone, at least in the big west (not that it says much, LOL).
  5. No no no qwerty..Harington is a must bring back. The guy has been tremendous for the Bulls...absolutely tremendous. Definately one of the best role players in the league if you ask me. I was so damn wrong in regards to him earlier in the year.

  8. Bryant is a great guy. I don't have the transcript but I can post the story that I wrote based on it if you want. I gotta go dig it up in the old archive. Class act though, wish him nothing but the best.
  9. I'd recommend the Rio. Its always rated one of the best hotels in Vegas. Its a good deal, nice rooms, nice casino, good club there. Only drawback is that its offstrip. Nice hotel though, definately recommend it. Awesome buffet too.

    QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) He's gotta ask her out somewhere to ask her to go... right? I would not recommend bringing flowers to school.. I dunno, for senior prom where I was everyone would pretty much ask them out at school. Some people would make it extravicant and put rose pedals all over the persons car or make a path of rose pedals and have her friend lead them over to where you are. Simply put Doug, make sure your showered, looking nice, and go up to her with confidence. Just be nice, ask her what she's doing for prom and if she's going. If she doesn't have a date ask her if she'd be interested in going as friends. If she says maybe, tell her the two of you could go for lunch or something and get to know each other a little better. Roses are a good touch too. Oh ya, don't ask her out around friends, make sure she's alone...it will make it easier for you.

    QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) Why is this? I have never understood. I'm not a gentleman at all. I made her split. I figure, its the 21st century and I have no problem with a women making more then me, nor do I have problem with them paying for me or splitting stuff with me. We split the tickets and I paid for the dinner, desert, all that good stuff.

    QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) You can't go to prom without a date. Ya, that would be embarassing.
  16. CSUF's season came to an end tonight against Georgetown. They lost their leading scorer in the 1st round matchup against USF and got slapped around pretty good by Georgetown. They lost by like 13.
  17. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 04:35 AM) Reading a previous Charles Rosen piece, the juice on Bobby Simmonds is that he's a good offensive player and could even better in that regard but he just doesn't offer much in the way of defense. Whether or not this is going to make him a fit with Pax and Skiles philosophies..... I don't know. And Larry Hughes is definitely going to get more than the MLE. He should get about 8 to 10 mill a season, since he's averaging about 20 points per game and more than 3 steals. Larry Hughes has played fantastic this year. I could see a team giving him big money, assuming he's finally figured things out. I mean the guys always been a hell of a talent, just didn't know how to play the team game. Personally I'd like Bobby Simmons because I think he'd be a good fit. However, I want the Bulls to get another low post player.
  18. Guys, the White Sox aren't gonna be trading any of there 6 starters (McCarthy included in that list). However, there is the battle of left handed relievers (Cotts and Walker) and maybe teams have taken noticed of Walker. I'm sure a few of them would be interested in having them for the right price, especially if Kenny decides he still needs a utility player (I think they'll go with Ozuna for now). However the Sox have a lot of those guys that fit in the AAAA to Major league mode like Felix Diaz and then there is Baj whose an older AAAer who has broken out and pitched his ass off in the minors and some teams could have interest in him. The SOx have a lot of guys the Reds could be semi interested in, hell even Willie Harris. But Jon Garland isn't going to the Reds unless they are getting in a 3 way deal and somehow getting another starting pitcher and a utility guy or something along those lines. And yes, Freel would look good on the Sox. I also think Willy Mo will be a hell of a ballplayer. Too bad he signed a major league deal becuase if he didn't he'd of been in fantastic shape at this point, instead he had to rot away on the Reds for a while without being sent to the minors.
  19. Lets just offer Bowden a Chad Cordero for Joe Borchard swap...a Fullerton fan could dream couldn't he
  20. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) My favorite bulls player. He was darn good with the Clippers...darn good. But you like him for his long blond hair...don't lie
  21. I think we were thinking along the same lines. I edited the top to say it right below. On second thought I'm gonna flip them.
  22. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) Jugger, oh wise one. Where are you with the stats to tell us who we will miss more? :banghead
  23. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) I can tell you one thing, qwerty wouldn't be against that. Actually Pike has impressed me ever since watching him d up against Maggette. He is a solid player and a damn good shooter. I remember back when he was in his prime god could he score.
  24. Bulls are up by 9 with 5:50 left in the 2nd quarter. Bulls are looking good offensively and shockingly have committed only a few turnovers thus far. Curry was just put in and he had 9 points in the 1st quarter (pretty much right as the quarter started).
  25. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) And who do you propose takes Kirk's shots? Pike
