I think you can pick strep back up pretty quick, but after just getting the flu its supposed to be tough to picking it back up. Wait...reread that and no I dont' think you do. They are seperate viruses, like steff said.
  3. He'll have some good years somewhere, but he never will live up to his hype.
  4. Sapp isn't going to be cut. I don't think it would be cap friendly to do so.
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 06:23 PM) Uhhhh Williams ain't a LB there Jason. Meant Derrick Johnson.
  6. I know one thing, my #1 choice is Williams because I think the guy is gonna be an absolute stud. Think Derrick Brooks. I freaking love the idea of him, Url and Briggs. However I think Johnson is the Browns top choice and Benson is probably the Dolphins top choice at this point with Rodgers going to the Niners. Which would mean Alex Smith is there at 4. But so is Braylon who I like quite a bit and I think Ronnie Brown can possibly be a Marshall Faulk type back.
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 05:11 PM) So, Williams is out of the picture. OL is out of the picture. Benson is 75% out of the picture. It's down to, like I said, Braylon, Ronnie and Derrick. Dead on. Of course I think Benson will be the Bears selection if available, but there is a good shot he's gone when the Bears pick. Mike Williams = NO Chance. I personally wouldn't mind the Bears moving down for a team wanting Braylon because Williamson is a WR I'm really intrigued with. Projects in the mid 1st round and had stellar 40 times and the Bears still need that speed receiver. Right now I'd be happy with any of Braylon, Ronnie, Derrick, Antrelle Rolle, or Benson. However, for whatever reason part of me thinks the Bears could shock the world and grab one of the QB's if they are there and impress them. Don't know if Alex Smith goes quite that early though and Rodgers has to be going to San Fran.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) I Heart Huckabee's must be one of the worst films I've ever sat through. LMAO. My buddies and I watched that last night and I can agree with your assessment. We thought it was supposed to be good but at the end of the movie were just like wtf.
  9. I used to do some of those things back in high school and they worked. I had a program on my computer that would auto move my mouse to make sure It appeared I was active and would constantly click through to different sites and such. It worked for a while and then the stuff stopped paying. Wasn't bad though for a bit of cash back in high school.
  10. QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 01:18 PM) And I think I blew it. I went through possible questions I would be asked last night, but I didn't practice my answers out-loud. This was a mistake. I came off far less eloquent and articulate than I actually am. There were several 'ums' and 'uhs' that I was telling myself to avoid beforehand. One question came completely out of the blue and caught me off guard. I probably stalled for 6 or 7 seconds before I started an answer to that one. The sad part is that I genuinely wanted this job. I'm feeling pretty depressed right now, just needed to vent. Do any of you have advice or your own stories about the interviewing process? I've been going through internship interviews right now. Had one yesterday and just got called back an was invited to the inhouse next week, which is typically the final process. Its from 3 till 9:30 so I'm sure they will be evaluating the skills you can work in group, plus a few more interviews. I wouldn't worry too much. My approach to interviews is different then a lot of other people. Typically people focus a lot on the behavioral questions and try and memorize there responses. I simply come up with a few examples because typically you can use those to answer a lot of other questions. Even then I don't focus much on that. I try to be polite, take note in what they say, because typically the interviewer will tell you a bit about themselves to start and its important to have good questions at the end of the interview. I usually base one or two of them off there experience. You also can look around there office and see if you can notice some things of common interest. Also I wouldn't worry about 6 or 7 seconds of silence. If someone asks you a question you may have to calmly think of a good response and there is nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't worry to much. The key is just go in and be calm. Make sure you get there early enough so you aren't rushed (because then your way more likely to be nervous) and specifically what I do is just take some real long deep breaths while waiting outside the office just to get myself real calm. Hopefully you get the job Oh ya, and after the interview ask for there business card if you dont' have it and make sure you send them a short thank you. This is the part I'm absolutely worse at. I am so bad at getting stuff like this out.
  11. Remember Adkins has started in the past. He's just not a very good starter because he doesn't have enough pitches.
  12. Great article. Pyrz instantly became one of my favorites the day he joined the White Sox and I think he's gonna be a big time factor in the Sox success this year.

Wow. Steff best wishes go out to your friend and you. At this point I don't have a clue what you could do other then be there when she talks. I couldn't even imagine something along these lines happening and the only positive I can see out of it is at least she now knows what happens and can begin to have some therapy to overcome it. God, what a bastard that uncle is. I hope they can do something legal to him and ensure he doesn't do it to anyone else.
  14. This movie is gonna be badass.
  15. I don't think you could go wrong with either. If I were drafting, it would come down to attitudes and how capable they were mentally to suceed.
  16. Tracey pitches around the the 93-95 range and can get it as high as 97, according to BA. I'd say he's more around the 91--95 range but he can reach back and put a few extra MPH when necessary. Jenks has a mean curveball and I think a change, but my mind is drawing a blank. Change isn't supposed to be all that great. He may have a slider and not a changeup. I'd have to go look at my notes on him. As far as Brice goes, some say he's good defensively but if he's playing left my take is that he's lousy defensively. Not a bad right fielder and his arm is solid. Hell of a contact hitter though.
  17. This could definately be the next type of influenza. Its a scary thought and hopefully it won't happen.
  18. QUOTE(qwerty @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 09:22 PM) At the most they will sign a mle type player. Jaric is what i am hoping for honestly. He is a big guard who can pass and post up. He is another hinrich shooting the ball but a big guard would look real nice for the bulls next year. Another guy i would love to have is raja bell if the jazz do not re sign him. Which i have a feeling they will. 2006 will be the bulls spending spree which is nice since there are somedamn good free agents out there then. Jaric is a good name. When healthy the Clips haven't been too bad of a team. He's a good passer, solid defender, and not that bad of a shooter (although his stats would say otherwise). I like the idea as long as it doesn't put the Bulls in a bind the following year. No matter what, I believe this team will have to add one real good player via a hefty contract in the next year to two. Thats not a knock on the Bulls, but to be a championship team, they'll need depth and talent all over. I love the direction the team is headed though.
  19. All three are names I like. I think you'll see Micah hit around 15 hr's this year. In the future I think he's going to develop into a good homer hitter. He'll be moving on up to Winston Salem which is a better park to hit in then Kanny, imo. Liotta has a lot of skills and Gray can flat hit (I think of him in as a Durham like hitter). As far as guys in ST making a name for themselves, I don't see any rosters open, although I think you'll see Bmac have some nice flashes, but he'll also get roughed up a few times while Cotts is gonna pitch his ass off. Valdez will get the 25th spot.
  20. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) Any chance the Sixers could trade Webber on to the Knicks now for a package of players possibly? I'd extremely doubt it, but Webber loves New York and they love him too. Why would Philly do anything like that. They don't want to help out New York and New York really doesn't have anything to offer. I'm sure Isiah wouldn't mind adding yet another big contract guy, but Philly isn't gonna be doing anything. Looks to me like they are built to make a run to the finals. Good defense and two very good offensive weapons (AI/Webber).
  21. Other then him they are in fantastic shape. I wouldn't hold it past them since they will have some caproom, to make a rather big move this offseason using some of there free payroll and AD to create room to get one max type player and then signing Curry/Chandler long term and basically the Bulls roster will be set. They may wait one more year to do something along those lines though. Regardless nothing goes down until the new cba.
  22. One of Paxson's best moves has to be moving JYD's contract and Jamal for Othella and I hope the Bulls keep Othella for a while. Seems like a very valuable role player. And this is coming from the guy who hated him a month ago.
