    Just Re-donk-ulous

QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) tell me more! Here, why don't I come to your store step offering free books and a long long story
  2. Had I seen it earlier I would of. Thought it was a good speach though. OMG, laughed my ass off when I saw Sharpton on FoxNews afterwords. God the guy is a retard.
  3. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) Just saw on the news, it will be a 5,000 square foot, two-story house. What I want to know is how in the hell they will be able to afford the freakin utility bills and keep that big of a place clean? Minor details Rex, either way that place should be pretty darn badass.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) speaking of porn did anyone see Lord of the G-String last week i mean uhhh yeah I've seen like 5 minutes of that. I think it should go up for an academy award. Absolutely hillarious though.
  5. QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 05:15 PM) I did a double take, I thought someone had a question about Crosby, Stills, and Nash, no old jokes please, thank you. quickman is partial to the Buffalo Springfield ... even older. On topic, I heard Comcast Sports Net is due to be on all the dishes no later than 4/1. Come on there old man. You should obviously realize the only CSN that matters was CSNY :finger
  6. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 07:07 PM) Good news to everyone reading this board -- Officially under two weeks until pitchers and catcher report... Best news I've heard in a while
  7. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 09:15 AM) anyone know anything about this guy??? francisco campos http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...s_mlb&fext=.jsp pretty good game for mexico in the caribian series He pitched last spring. I saw him pitch a game and he was nothing but god awful. I would never ever want to see the guy pitch another game with the Sox. Prior to that performance I saw Ozzie had said some good things about him but he was done after the outing I was out. Horrible fastball and throws absolutely nothing but junk. When I say horrible I don't refer to the velocity, but more the lack of movement mixed with terrible velocity and well everything else he threw happened to roll and get crushed.
  8. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) With the Dback series of moves, I would say that Wilson is prolly the one that actually ends up there.... I don't know the salaries off-hand, but I would say that he's the highest of the bunch. And that's what AZ seems to value above all else right now. I gotta say this, I disagree with some of the salaries they gave but there is no doubt in my mind that the Dbacks are a much improved ball club over last season and if they were to acquire Byrnes I'd say they took another step in the right direction.
  9. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 07:52 PM) Don't give up on Crede just yet. I concur. If he has in fact shortened his swing there isn't too much doubt in my mind that he'll still turn into a better then average 3rd baseman. I still believe Crede is a .275, 30, 100 guy in the future. Not saying he'll do it next year, but if he plays everyday I can easily see .270, 25, 80. And as far as Anderson and Sweeney go, I'm going to pencil myself down with Keith because I think there is a decent shot Anderson gets dealt in a deadline type deal, especially if this team is playing its ass off and a top player goes out on the market. We've seen Kenny be agressive with the Sox potentially out of it, if they are in it, no doubt in my mind if a stud player that could fill a need becomes available he will do whatever it takes to get him. On a sidenote, I don't think there is any reason at this point to worry about where Anderson or Sweeney will play. Sweeney is still two years off at this point (he's still got two more minor league seasons, imo, unless he really explodes this year) and Anderson has at least one more and shouldn't even be thought of as anything but a potential september call up unless an injury occurs or he tears the absolute cover off the ball. Like I've said for a while Anderson isn't as ready as whitesox.com would like you to believe he is. They've seemed to really tout him and I don't disagree that he has the tools, but he still has some flaws in his swing that definately need to be worked out before he has any long term sucess. The Sox shouldn't do what they did with Borchard (which was rush him) because I do think it had a negative effect on him. That and for whatever reason Borchard's never been able to shorten his swing. I think Anderson could go a similar way but I think the odds are very good that he'll turn into the very least a productive major league player. As far as Sweeney goes, his ceiling is being a guy like Garret Anderson and I think you'll see him develop similarly. There swings have some resemblance to me and I think you'll see Sweeney come up an average guy without much power, but as he matures and gets more experience he'll learn to pull more fastballs inside and his power numbers will increase.
  10. Way too hard to say at this point. Once they are made I can break down the guys and teams rotations to watch though.
  11. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 07:05 PM) im just hoping and praying that McCarthy and Honel arenta busts like our other highly toughted pitching prospects(diaz,rauch...) also that anderson and sweeney arent busts like joe borchard I don't think McCarthy will dissapoint you but at this point I wouldn't expect too much out of Kris. Honel has definately had some setbacks with injuries and unless he regains his confidence (which will happen with a pickup in velocity) I think there is a good shot he doesn't pan out. But thats just my 2 cents.
  12. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 2, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) I don't care if they make some stupid tournament in March. Dr. Tom didn't have these type of problems in IC, and he made the tourney year after year with inferior talent, save the 87 season(that theam was great). Alford gets the talent that plays great until Christmas, then pisses down their legs everytime they hit B10 play. You shouldn't be happy sneaking into the Tourny every few years, or hoping to win 4 games in 4 days in Chicago to steal a spot. f*** Alford for sticking up for this low-life, and f*** Alford for forcing a group of underachievers on us year after year. Couldn't of said it better myself Cheat. More importantly f*** Pierre Pierce. A guy with NBA talent that instead f***s up. But Alford has had plenty of talent and continued to see this team take dumps in conference plays. I thought he was a good hire at the time, in fact a great hire, turns out I and many others were wrong. Its time for a new team unless they somehow go insanely deep. Sad thing is I like the talent on this squad and I think it will be there again next year since they pretty much have zero seniors on the squad.
  13. Alba is in the avatar and my guess is he wishes alba won the hot chick contest.
  14. Nope, not a doubt in my mind. Frank was always massive and when you think about how outspoken he's been in regards to steroids its just not possible, imo.
  15. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 1, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) Jason, other than Bmac, Sweeney, and Anderson..and maybe feilds who else do we have? There are a lot of next tier guys, very first on that list would be Sean Tracey and then last years draft class has some very intriguing starting arms (Tyler Lumsden, Gio Gonzalez, Ray Liotta, and Wes Whisler to be specific). FS is going to be releasing a Top 25 on the Sox minor leagues pretty quickly which will have a lot more info on this type of stuff. The big thing is those guys I mention are at lower levels and are still obviously a couple years away, but as they develop I will say this, I love all 4 of there potential although I think Whisler is the most raw of the group.
  16. I should add very good seasons by Sweeney or Anderson would also potentially get them on that type of list. Not saying it will happen, because its too hard to look into the future, but those 4 I mentioned have high ceilings. I also think Tracey has a very high ceiling but I highly doubt he would make that type of list because usually formerly not so highly touted prospects take some time before they become highly touted even if they put up ungodly numbers (ie Bmac going unnoticed by most for such a long time).
  17. 5 mill for Burnitz, holy heck. The Sox got Dye for less than that
  18. No real shocker there. Next year you could see Bmac on that list and potentially Josh Fields, other then that I don't think the Sox have any guys on the verge of making what I'll call the top 20, but I do think there farm system is back on the way up.
  19. Really sucks. Statistically this was one of Favre's best seasons. I love the Bears, but I don't want them to finally get a hold of the Pack once Brett is gone, I want them to kick the living piss out of the Pack when Favre is still at the helm
  20. I hope to hell his cancer didn't come back. If I recall thats kind of why he left the Rockets.
  21. Looking at it again, I swear she falls in front of the hoop. In fact I'm damn near positive of the fact so something else moves the net.
  22. I was thinking it had to be, but she does at least give it an act as if she hit her head. It could be like an illusion type deal where they use mirrors to make it appear she's going through the hoop when she never does.
  23. Prayers go out to your friend chisoxy. WIsh her all the best and hopefully they'll be able to remove the cancer and she'll be alright after undergoing treatments.
  24. Holy shiite. Thats freaking insane. The cheerleaders at my school had enough trouble throwing each other up and catching them, let alone doing crazy ass tricks like that.
  25. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Feb 1, 2005 -> 11:39 AM) If we are talking about "real" fast food joints here... Anything from In-n-Out Burgers. Hands down. No competition. ...I hate fast food. Never eat it. Ever. Inn and Out...ahh yes, I'm one of the few lucky ones to frequent that. Double Double, Fries and a Coke or Shake is definately near the top. Also like Wendy's, damn good 99 cent menu but there double stack or whatever they call it is good. Jack and the Cracks taco's are badass too. Don't eat that much fast food, but when I do, I go with whatever I'm craving.
