  1. Hopefully with each of our squads in first!
  2. I put my phone down and just watched.
  3. Nasty Kopech. Is he done or coming out of for another inning. I am assuming he is done?
  4. Kopech’s command is fantastic tonight. No idea how a player finds his command by missing two years but geeze his deliver looks so compact and consistent tonight.
  5. Is there another player who had separated his shoulder while swinging? I don’t ever remember seeing that.
  6. Man - that tatis injury had to be one of the most unique injuries I have ever seen. Right there with Eloys. Terrible.
  7. Better at bat by Vaughn. He is still not as quick as he needs to be...he is going to be fine though...better than fine.
  8. Agreed - Maggs never had the adversity etc. he was young - got a shot on a rebuilding team and never gave it back. Like the Voit comp. Nice thing is - so far I have seen Mercedes hit every pitch. I know the league will adjust but he seems to have a complete swing.
  9. Leury having a rough start to season. It’s okay - Vaughn about to deliver.
  10. I wonder if Yermin can end up like Maggs. Not comparing how they got there or the actual talents - but if I remember right, Magglio was never viewed as special - but when he got his shot he hit and never stopped hitting. Yermin looks like the real deal offensively. Age be damn - that bat plays.
  11. This broadcast crew is really enjoyable.
  12. Mercedes...look at those wheels!!!
  13. It’s April.
  14. I’m not worried - The run on that heater was nice. My guess is he is just pitching (vs throwing). Maybe he still listening to some of Coop’s advice.
  15. I don’t really care - Kopech is a future copy young award winner. But I get it. And I don’t have an issue doing this for part of this year - because he is coming back from injury and an opt out - so managing his innings is key. But you can’t waste this type of arm in a pen. Edit: not trying to be sarcastic. Either way I suspect it will work itself out. Whether we like it or not - people are going to get hurt and or not perform.
  16. Did he always pitch out of the stretch?
  17. Kopech has to end up being stretched into a starter sooner vs later. If his arm holds up - he is so freaking special.
  18. That slider was so good. And than Kopech gets next batter to chase another nasty one.
  19. Wow - kopech looked so good that first at bat. His delivery looks so crisp and effortless. And Rodon - stellar performance.
  20. It is the hard part of a guy not having real upper level minor league time to work through the adjustments. That said - really small sample size too. If anyone could handle it - it is him...but you are spot on - in time, once the minor league season starts, they may need to send him down and have him work on LF and just get more experience.
  21. I think he is capable - I don’t think it takes a lot - but whether he actually makes it - I don’t know.
  22. This is fair - That said - I’m not ready to write off Robert, Vaughn and others who could provide protection. I do agree - I think Robert and Moncada are keys to offense - if they hit 280ish...this offense will be real good. I say that cause I know they will hit for power etc. If they both hit .240 - this is going to be an offense that no shows on a lot of nights.
  23. I will say this - I think the angels are a playoff team if their pitching can hold up. That lineup is deep and talented and their bullpen looks to be pretty good too.
  24. Yeah - great to get a respectful outsiders view.
