Knicks "Sweeten" Curry offer
Chad Ford said the Bulls are talking with the Clippers about Wilcox. I'd love Wilcox. Get Wilcox and call me a happy camper.

Boxer pups..
Rat Terriers are awesome dogs steff. My uncle has had a few of them over the years and they are friendly as heck and intelligent dogs. They love the outdoors so hopefully they can go out a lot and run around. One thing I've noticed with my uncles at least is that its insanely hyper, but loyal and smart. Very cool dog, follows him everywhere, goes to work at his shop with him, runs all over the farm, etc. Its one of the dogs I'd consider getting. Of course my favorite breed of dog is the poodle. Thats the only dog I ever had and it was awesome. But you guys/gals have opened my eyes to boxers now. They sound pretty badass.

Start by Signing Corey Koskie
If I recall Toronto was planning on making an offer in the 5 mill a season range. I'm a Koskie fan and think he'd be nice, but first the Sox got to take care of other areas. JR isn't going to have money tied up while still trying to find a pitcher. They are going to first target a pitcher, imo, and then let the other pieces fall afterwards cause the Sox most important need is pitching at this point. Close 2nd is a leadoff hitter. Koskie is none of those and the Sox can't risk spending 5 million of their limited budget when you have no idea who is going to be moved, who they will sign, etc. If Koskie is out their two weeks from now, then consider it a possibility...but only if Crede's name starts coming up in trade talks.

Knicks "Sweeten" Curry offer
Try and get a 1st rounder that hte Bulls could use as leverage if they end out losing this years first rounder to Phoenix.

I'd rather have Sandy back and your right, I think he did have a rough playoff series.

Offer Made For Randy Johnson
Yanks won't give up Matsui, but if the Sox get Posada and Vazquez I'd be perfectly content. I think the Sox would get cash and then be able to pick up a reliever and potentially a leadoff hitter.

Sun - Times Article
I still think Grilli could work out fine in the bullpen, but thats about as far as it goes. He has to improve his control, but I'm with you Jim in the fact that I like his competitiveness.

I could see Dye or even Urbina happening, although I think their are other options that the Sox will pursue before looking at Ugeth. However, no way do I see the Sox picking up Edgar Renteria, especially since he's looking for 8-10 million a year. Thats drastically overpaying for him. I don't get it, this offense, especially the middle of the order is fine. Minus that one stretch when Maggs/Frank went down and the Sox panicked this offense was fantastic. The only upgrades the Sox should be looking for (if their is one) is a left handed bat or a top of the order guy. Thats it and it isn't a worse case if the Sox miss out. However, if the Sox move one of Lee/Konerko then they will need to find a bat to replace them. Luckily JR and KW seem to be talking about pitching, both a starter and a reliever and to me thats exactly what this team needs.

Tivo adding pop-ups
Very smart business decision by them. We have a DVR but through our cable provider, but I'm sure eventually they'll start doing this too to bump up revenue. I don't know if anyone is considering using TIVO or another DVR, but since we got it our entire family uses it (and the rest of my family isn't too tech savy) and we all like it. Your local cable provider may offer it as well, for us its 4.95 a month and you don't have to buy any extra equipment.

Kenny Williams
I've long said look at the guys the Sox have dealt and in most instances you can see they never lived up to the so called potential. BA overhyped the Sox and gave all of us much higher expectations then should of been from that minor league class. Some of the dissapointment resulted from injuries to guys like Barcelo and Rauch as well as the major bust named Joe Borchard. Kip Wells would pan out and he was one of the few but he's not great yet. BA does that a lot though.

What Now?
By the way, I think the Sox will sign a vet backup that can play both ss and 2nd.

What Now?
Still plenty of options out there. I still say the Sox are holding off for RJ and I think they get him.

Upgrade Notice
Another cool feature is we'll probably end up having seperate graphics for different forums. Better PM features, better attachment capabilities, etc.
-
Upgrade Notice
Yep. Its also going to be fully registered once we make the switch which means if the board blows up and I don't know whats up, we get free tech support and all that They have made it mandatory to have a registered board.

Upgrade Notice
Its going to be an upgrade to Invision 2.0 It will add some new features, and we'll get back and fully customize and add some of the hacks that the older version of this board had. Another thing it will offer is a threaded version as well for people that prefer that option. Should be quicker, etc. Also the bug on Mozilla will be fixed

Upgrade Notice
Just wanted to tell everyone that sometime in the next week I'm going to be upgrading the site to invision board 2.0. This move WILL go more smoothly then the past time. Everything will be backed up and I expect a minimal amount of downtime. However, I'm going to give a much more leniant estimate, assuming that their will be about 2-3 hours of downtime (it could be as little as 15 minutes). Anyway, just wanted to give everyone a bit of a heads up. It could happen pretty much anytime, just depends on when I'm in the mood for it and when I have time

NFC Title Game
Fluke, how about losing a game because of a field goal blocked and going the other way for a touchdown????

JR on the Score
So I can catch the Sox games on my way home from work. Plus all the other games. My dad has it so its 6.95 a month. On top of that tons of good music, I figure why not. Depending on how much the equipment is.

Bullpen Issues
When healthy he's been very good and he's still just 31. If he could be signed I'd say it would be comparable to the Tom Gordon signing two years back. Has closer experience on top of that. Wouldn't mind giving him a 1 yr deal with an option year. Don't know his health status since he didn't pitch after May, but he went on the DL originally with Tendinitis and saw nothing of him having any sort of surgery. In 2003 he pitched in 50 games with 29 saves (3 blown) and a 2.62 ERA. Gave up just 37 hits in 55 innings while striking out 68.

Percival to the Tigers
Uribina is on the trade market now, book it. He didn't have all that grand of a season last year, so I think a team could pick him up at a good price. Detroit could alwyas keep him though and have a good 1-2 punch in the pen.

I can only comment on one thing. I'm probably gonna pick up XM radio because of this.

Bullpen Issues
Would Matt Mantei be a possible pickup? I don't know his health status and he's always had injury problems but at the right price he could pay off in a big way.

Offer Made For Randy Johnson
Nah, I never thought Guzman would be a White Sox. In fact, I'm bold enough to say that I am confident he will end up wearing a White Sox uniform, potentially signing a one year extension as well. I think it happens during the winter meetings, if not sooner. After that I only expect the Sox to make some minor moves, many of which could be guys that end up getting non-tendered.
