He won't be called up in September. He was removed from the 40 man roster and will be in another organization next year. He isn't healthy enough to pitch out of the pen. He can go once every three days if your lucky and thats just not an option, especially for a lefty specialist.

That be cool, however they will have to do some things to work some guys onto their 40 man roster. I'd love to see Munoz, Valdez, Baj and some others up here though. Grilli will be up since he'll be making a spot start for Freddy Garcia.

I wouldn't offer up Marte for Figgins, but I would give the Angels Cotts and I think they would probably be interested. However, I do think the Sox need another top of the order person. I also think they need a new shortstop and a left handed bat somewhere in the middle part of the order. My main thinking was that Omar could fit into ss and fill the top of the lineup with Harris, or you could have Omar leadoff and Rowand hit in the 2 hole with Harris in the 9 spot. Add a left handed bat in RF or CF for the middle portion of the lineup and have Rowand play CF or RF. Add a starter and a couple bullpen arms.

I want to make a comment regarding a post about CW being very against people being banned and stuff in that capacity. All I have to say is, has this site ever been ban happy. If it were, this type of thread wouldn't be here. I'm happy this thread is here, people want to know whats going on and were more then happy to explain to a point. Spiff said it best, so just check out his thread above. However, for those that were around when I was basically the main admin and RPS was here as well as a mod/admin, you'll remember this site was built on the premacy of not banning and that won't really change. We give you the slack and if someone wants to still hang themself, then and then only will we come in and make an effort to stop it. In general we give posters the benefit of the doubt and hope they can work things out. This is a good board because of it, this policy does at times lead to some harshness, but in general it does a lot more good then bad.

Soxtalk is in the middle of some changes and I'd like to share the latest addition, which is a new mod team on the Pale Hose Board. The team will consist of witesoxfan, Cheat, and DBAHO. All three have been absolutely outstanding posters since joining the site. They don't resolve to personal attacks, have a tremendous knowledge of baseball, and will be exceptional additions to Soxtalk's staff. Its great to have you all a part of the team

I've learned some things. I don't want to call anyone out or scare people, but were doing what we can to ensure something like this doesn't happen again. Although it seems Katy is willing to forgot and I know I noticed her on here after the incident. I also know a lot of apologies were sent her way, which was awesome.

This is as far as I'm going to go, but when I say abuse of power, I refer mainly to the admin portion and the type of controls admins have. It takes a lot of trust for me to give someone the controls to that end, once its broken, then a line is drawn and I have to think does it really make sense for them to stay in that position. And when I refer to Vince as a good admin, I'll be the first to admit, he did some good things, just like I said. I don't want to bash Vince, thats not what I've come to do and for that reason, I'm keeping that type of info private. But if people still want to know, I have no problem talking one on one in some detail. At the same time, its rare I make this type of call and when I do, I hope its respected. Like I just posted, politics aren't my thing and I don't dislike people just because someone else does, nor do I like someone just because someone else does. Also, I can't say it more, I do hope Vince comes back as a poster.

Hey FLa, lets talk about it via aim. I don't want to get too into it for various reason. Also yesterdays outage has meant some admins still aren't aware of it and were still discussing things to a point, but to me, the move was necessary and it wasn't board politics. I don't really buy into board politics. All I ask is this, has anyone ever seen me jump on a poster or say I hated another poster. I don't think I've ever done something along those lines, but who knows, maybe someone will run a search and find a few posts of me saying something like that.

I just want to tell you, yesterday I blew up the database doing something and had to use a backup from August 2nd, so if you have registered since then (excluding today), you will have to re-register. I'm sorry for the inconvinience and this typically doesn't happen. Only one other time have we lost posts, and that was right in the very beginning (The ancient one Mario, now he definately won't feel so bad, knowing I did it). So I don't want you to think we somehow don't want you. We had a lto of good posters recently and this is the place for you to be, so sign back up and get back into the thick of things.

I just had some dental work done today. Thus far I've felt nothing, including the shot.

Well, this isn't the answer people are going to like, but I'm not really going to go into too much detail. To say the least, I felt it was best if Vince was removed as an admin. This has been something I have been thinking about for a while and have recently consulted with some of the other admins about it. I emailed Vince yesterday and told him about it. I told him I hoped he would remain here as a poster, although I know that is a hard thing to expect. I told him I liked him as a poster and that I hated doing what I did. I will be the first to admit, the first time CW was banned, it was wrong and I blame none other then myself. I had all this information coming in and I had nothing to do but to believe it, which to this day, bothers me. Vince is a good person and was a good admin for the site, but plainly put it was time for a change. I don't want to get into it more then that, because frankly, its something that shouldn't be out there. If the other admins want to comment on it, I give them free reign to do so though. No one will be replacing him in his admin-post, although I have 3 other changes to make in the next day or so...nothing severe and I'm confident everyone will enjoy them.

Well, prior ot that, they were doing that stupid quote in box, quote in box stuff, where you ended up getting like 10 quotes all within one quote if you kept quoting. I also have finished recreating the contest board and just have to move a few posts over. And for those doing the football Ynot, just tell me how you want me to set it up.
