This morning Jayson Stark said he expected the deal to go down no later then tomorrow morning..but in all liklihood it will go down today.

Just got off the horn with them...they said the volume shouldn't be a problem. Gave them a heads up that we'd have higher then normal traffic. They don't know what caused the 5-10 minute outage but said they were talking with the company that deals with that on other line. I think we may have a whole lot of happy Sox fans soon enough

This is a San Diego station, but Luchino has deep ties with San Diego. They said he will be on whether or not a deal for Arod is done. Could be an interesting listen.

Kw has said that he won't let personal feelings get in the way of business. I don't think any GM can have his feelings get in the way of business, cause if you do, it could prevent your team from getting better. One exception could be Billy Beane...although he's looked human this offseason.

And the players association, which still has to approve the restructuring of his contract.

Supposedly its Evans that hates Williams and some of that hate has gotten in the way of Evans making a deal with the Sox. Thats from sports radio stations out here.

I'm guessing thats why Kim is no longer being mentioned as coming??? I dunno...its gonna be interesting, nothing is true until its official. Of course they are basing the article on the Sox payroll concerns. Somehow I read that as the Sox getting Nomar and then dealing him to the Dodgers.

That this is likely gonna be the first major test of this new server. I'm hoping by the new year we will be on a dedicated server with this new company, which will be awesome. So far though it seems to be working really good since we made the change...but I just wanted to make mention of it because we may see some slow load times due to the heavy heavy volume. Hopefully it just runs super quick though

I'm sure everyone else will think TJ Ford would be a better pick. Sorry, I'll take a can shoot, can pass, can play defeense against point guards or shooting guards over TJ Ford. He's quick, thats about it. Hinrich isn't super quick, but he penetrates at times. He isn't Crawford off the dribble, but very few are.

Wynn is out there and he'd be the best fit, although Guillen fits well too. I think the Sox will wait for the non-tenders on Garcia cause they feel they can get him cheaper. But I absolutely love the idea of Randy Wynn.

My dad (Huge Dodger fan) just gave me a call. He's heard me constantly rip Evans and he'd s*** a brick if they got Konerko (I have been joking about the Dodgers getting stuck with him for a while...I'd love it to happen). He said that he heard on the radio from some people in the org that Evans absolutely hates Ken Williams and has let it get in the way of the deal, while Williams has made statements if he feels that way, fine, but I can't let it get in the way of trying to better my team. I know Evans was pissed from losing the job...but I think he's gonna be more pissed if the new ownership goes through cause he's gonna be ousted. Either way...keep Nomar...deal Konerko to the Dodgers.

Unless, Garcia agreed to a one yr 6 mill deal, which would mean the Sox only take on a mill. This would of course depend on them having to then unload Koch and Konerko. I find it more likely that it will be Wynn or Guillen cause both would fill needs (cf/leadoff hitter; 2nd/2 hole hitter) with Harris probably playing the other position. The thing is, I wonder where the sox payroll stands after all this. Is Nomar going to be one of those above the payroll guys?

No...but it would kind of make sense if they get Guillen. He can play 3rd, ss, and 2nd and is a perfect two hole hitter (The problem is the Sox would need a leadoff hitter). I know one thing, I will miss Magglio...and if the Sox one day want a 100 mill payroll...I'd love to see Magglio brought back next year I'd say it will be Guillen/Wynn/Garcia (One of those 3) and i'd pretty much book it as that.

Screw making the Dodgers take Konerko as well..they will take him anyway, imo. I so hope the Sox keep Williamson and Nomar and use Konerko and Jose as bait and if they get Damon use him as bait. I wonder what JR is willing to do with Nomar cause he's gonna cost about 12-14 mill a year. Do you want and see if he does good in Chicago and take your chances that you can sign him later or sign him now?

If that happens...I'd be pumped. We get Nomar, Perez, Mota, Williamson, Guillen and lose Konerko and Valentin's contract. Or if we get Byun Yum Kim instead, then I'd just keep Kim and Williamson and tell the Dodgesr we don't need Mota, but deal Konerko for a starter and Jose to the Mariners. The question is, why Carlos Guillen and not Randy Wynn??? Are the Sox going to move Guillen to 2nd and play Harris in cf? I'd rather get Wynn if he's available. s***...I am so freaking excited just to see what happens. I heard Jason Stark about 15 minutes on ESPN Radio and he said it could be as much as a 5 team deal after everything pans out and that Nomar could still be heading to LA. I say keep Nomar, move Konerko and Jose..keep Williamson and if its Kim coming too, keep him as well.

Exactly...Sox should keep Nomar...deal Jose to the Mariners for Randy Wynn or Freddy Garcia and then deal Konerko to the Dodgers for a starting pitcher. Keep Nomar...keep Williamson, keep Byun Yun Kim. I love a pen with those two, Marte and then move Koch to somewhere.

I'll tell you his upside...shutdown defensive guard...awesome passer, very effective scorer. He can hit the three, penetrate and create for others and also create his own shot. I always see guys baiting his fakes and it creates open shots. Then again everyone would say John Stockton has no upside if he entered the league today...same with Nash when he entered the league 5 or 6 years ago out of Santa Clara. I got no problem..but Hinrich will prove to be a hell of a point guard.

I've been one of the few backing Hinrich since they drafted him. Him, Chandler and Crawford are my favorite Bulls...although Crawford sucked ass tonight.

Beane is gonna try and move him for a prospect and if he can't he will just non tender him...at least thats my guess.
