  1. Ya. If he had a little more size he'd be a top NFL prospect. Unfortunately for Bob he's only 5'8 and that probably won't get him drafted and if it does he'll likely be a late round pick and a special teams contributor. The kid has a ton of heart though and damn can he lay the wood.
  2. They were trying to cover up for their one actions since so many people said that Irvin or Sharpe should of ripped him at the time those comments were made.
  3. College Saturday Mornings are great and I also love Sunday Night football.
  4. Good to hear. I was excited to get the Hawk game on (Only one I missed was the MSU one) and then this week I was up ready to watch it and the freaking USC game was on since I'm in the Socal area. So are all indications pointing to Brown being back and is their any word on Henkel?
  5. Why thank ya Gashie and Heather. I knew this would be the Bears week. BMR...I wasn't the one that told you not to go against the Bears the past few weeks..only this one.
  6. That was such BS. I'd of suspended his ass for a play like that.
  7. I've been believing this since last season...so I'm hoping it comes true I love the job Ferentz has been doing. The oline should be better molded by the Ohio State game and they get their pretty damn good receiver back. I also think one of the better safeties in the countries Bob Sanders will be back. As far as Iowa's secondary, its very young, but surprisingly its played very good this year...as a matter of fact their defense has been pretty impressive although each game more guys go down and it just gets harder and harder to piece something together. Right now they aren't a national title contender, but they are a big ten champ contender
  8. Vikings Titans Chiefs Panthers Seahawks Cowboys Bears Bills Giants Chargers 49ers Eagles Steelers Colts
  9. Bah...and I didn't touch it. I kept it there cause I know you wanted it there.
  10. Hell Ya Hawkeyes. Too bad I was stuck with the USC game. Hawkeyes got talent...not as much as some of the other top teams but they are also very banged up. They have an incredible coaching staff though.
  11. Try working a grocery store and bagging PA...it sucks way more
  12. 8 mill...which is why the Sox could get all three of these guys. Lackey steps into the rotation (Sox save 6 mill) and still get a very solid player that could play center and dh. I'd want the Angels to pay part of his salary or take on Konerko's in the deal. They are looking for a DH.
  13. Next year will be Bernies final season in New York, imo.
  14. Garland is a .500 pitcher. No more, no less. If this team is serious about contending, when Goo walks, we deal for a one or two SP AND a three or four man in the rotation. Relegate JG to the number 5 spot where he belongs. I'd say Maggs gets dealt for a good starting pitcher and a solid outfield prospect. If you go with the Angels...you ask for Krod, Lackey and Erstad.
  15. Knowing the Sox they will go after Ponson. Kenny has wanted him for awhile now. CWSOX45 And from whats been mentioned Ponson would be pretty happy in Chicago. KW has wanted him for a while. He'll be happier where a team is serious about winning. See...I've devised a new plan. I'm gonna call Ozzie Guillen (Somehow) and tell him to convince the Sox to hire me as the GM and I will guarantee that I'll hire him as the manager.
  16. I'd hope to use it on both. Go for Ponson...then the difference could get you Caberra. 4 mill right off the bat will get you Orlando.
  17. Ideally Orlando Cabrera. Either that or we wait to see who takes Matsui and we try to work out a deal for their back-up. This time it hopefully won't be Royce Clayton. Does anyone know where Matsui is going? CWSOX45 Anaheim, San Diego and Baltimore are possibilities.
  18. Knowing the Sox they will go after Ponson. Kenny has wanted him for awhile now. CWSOX45 And from whats been mentioned Ponson would be pretty happy in Chicago. KW has wanted him for a while.
  19. I sure hope he is plan B.
  20. What would you rather have? Colon at 12 million or Ponson at 7 million with 5 million to give to someone like Hawkins and someone else? I'd rather have Ponson/Hawkins then Colon.
  21. Thats a given...I'd like this team more like the Marlins everyday lineup. Great defense...great speed...solid hitters. Don't need to be exact replicas, but it starts with having a great top of the order. Having good table setters puts you in position to win a lot of low scoring games cause you can manufacture runs.
  22. I still say he has trade value. Foulke is gonna be out there for a lot, but some team is gonna look for a setup man and if the Sox pay 2 (making him a 4 mill guy or so) someone will take a chance and give you something potentially productive in return. Get a pen consiting of Marte, Hawkins, and one of Gordon/Sully and I'd be incredibly happy.
  23. Read in the LA Times today that they Royals are gonna take Beltran to arbitration. They said they can afford the 8-9 mill he's going to make but that they won't be opposed to trading him if it works and that they will be willing to take on the contracts of one or two players if they are good and will help them both in the short and long term. The talks are the Angels were interested and were gonna offer a Erstad/Beltran swap plus something else. Royals want Lackey/Krod and their top 3rd base prospect. Also his agent (Boras) has said that he will not accept anything less then an 8 year 15 mill a year contract. This is absolute BS. If anyone gives him that kind of money...then they should be kicked out of baseball. This is a guy that is good, but not amazing. He has the ability to do that, but don't pay based on ability pay based on production. Lets not forget this is a guy that has had some attitude problems too and 8 yr 15 mill per is quite a risk.
