  1. Lol...we'll need all the help we can get. I know one thing, I sure as hell don't know how to do anything with graphics. I was thinking the tshirts could be in like two different colors with some type of soxtalk logo on the front and then on the back some kind of saying or something. It would be way cool to get different aspects from different people on the board
  2. Ya, that would be cool. Maybe if we can figure it out their can be some type of contest to design the Soxtalk tshirt

I have smoked a few cigars. Very relaxing. Smoke maybe two a year. Nothing expensive, a few amish things or whatever they are called. Like 3 bucks for a 6 pack which we will split up. I don't know the fascination, but all I know is its very relaxing and their ain't any weed involved
  5. Lol...he reminds me of Mo Vaughn. If he doesn't get more then 4 million then i think he would be a great alternative if Thomas opts to go elsewhere or declines the Sox contract.
  6. That was an absolute bomb.
  7. I don't see that lineup happening cause the payroll would be like 80 million, but I'd like that team.
  8. Ponson Ponson PONSON
  9. I'd love Grace as a PBP guy. He is really funny and knows the game. This is a direct slap in the fact to the Cubs organization, imo.
  10. I just heard that. What a great comment.
  11. I actually watched the game (Had to take advantage of the free week of NHL Center Ice). Hawks looked alright. Thibault was huge but the defense made some ugly plays and their were way too many penalties. The offense didn't get many scoring penalties but I did see the Hawks lay some huge hits. The thing was it seemed like at times the hits was all they cared about. Didn't see much of Ruutu, was looking for him all game, but didn't notice him much.
  12. I recognized a lot of names but wasn't familiar with many songs. I really like disc two a whole lot. Disc one is solid, but some of the stuff is heavier then my usual liking.
  13. Anyone know of a place where you can get tshirts made for cheap?

  15. Sounds Cool. Thanks for that info...and welcome aboard. If you can, tell them to make sure every Sox game is still televised
  16. I like the Take Action 2 DISC CD. That was a great buy for 3.99.
  17. That would be pretty cool.
  18. Yep, I've had it on Direct Tv and now we have cable and I have it on that. Same price either way. Great package though, especially for out of towners. As far as the new station, I'm sure it will be a regional thing, but I think it sounds cool to have one station for everything. I hope this means that the Sox don't televise anymore games on WCIU (This way I would get almost all Sox broadcasts). The one thing they will have to do is come up with an alternate station that soley works when the Cubs/Sox are scheduled at the same time on the same station.
  19. I can't wait either. These are two of the few dvd's I have boughten. Lord of the Rings is just an awesome movie and I can't wait for the next one. The next Matrix should be cool too.
  20. I think the best thing to do in that case would be to stagger the game time. Have a 6:30 or 7:00 Eastern time start in New York and have the game on Fox. This way people in central time also get it in primtime, while the people on the West Coast can watch the end. Then when that games ends, Fox goes into the cubs game (Which could be seen in full on FX). You have the Cubs game start at 7:30 central time, so odds are everyone can see more then one game on primetime while people have the option of watching both.

Out here in California its smoking out...or at least thats the term when you go smoke pot. I'm not a smoker though. Probably smoked 6 cigarettes my entire life.
  22. Cap is like 105 million or something like that and they will be well under that after they lose those veterans. I was even wrong, I had Ashby making less, so they will have more like 23 million off the cap (I'm not counting Ventura or Burnitz cause they aren't paying either of them much of anything).
  23. I don't have a problem with the idea if the Sox landed Mota, their top pitching prospect (I thought it was Guiterez but maybe I'm thinking of someone else. The kid came up and beat Randy Johnson in his first game. He spent most of the season in AA). And then were able to get Joe Thurston, then I'd be happy. The big reason is with Maggs money you can invest it in other areas. I still think that after dealing Maggs, the Sox would then have to go out and move Konerko/Koch or get one of them to restructure. I think if this team is going to compete at a 55-60 mill payroll, then one of Koch/Konerko has to be moved as well as Magglio. I think Magglio is a winner, but I don't see this team competing with him making 14 mill a year. Now if the Sox get him to go longterm and it drops his per year total just a bit more then Giles, then its another story. Heres the one dillema if your the sox. You can't sign Castillo/Cabrerra thinking your going to move Maggs. The Sox wouldn't take the risk of getting stuck with a huge payroll, so they would first have to move Maggs and then go out and do that. So if KW is going to do something along those lines, he is going to have to be very quick to pull of some deals that cut some big salaries to allow him to get room to get some different type of players here. I know one thing, if you keep the pitching staff together and keep a good bullpen, then this team will compete.
  24. Everything I have read has said that the Dodgers will be players this offseason. They aren't really paying Burnitz or Ventura anything so those losses won't be huge, but they are losing Andy Ashby's contract (at like 6 or 7 mill) as well as McGriffs at like 4 mill. Thats about 10 mill they are dumping and for some reason I thought they lose someone elses...oh wait, Brian Jordan at like 10 mill, so thats 20 mill that they spent last year that they will have available. Will they spend all of it? Who knows, but I know Evans plans on using most of it. And their have been talks that the payroll may even go up, but odds are it will stay the same. I don't think they have many players getting raises in their contracts, other then the fact that they may go longterm with Gagne, which will cost a fortune. They are looking to move Brown/Green although I don't think they will find any takers. After this season, they lose more bad contracts, such as Todd Hundleys. They will add at least one big bat.
